This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kimaera, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.stygiancrypt.com/bands_en.php?s=Kimaera.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kimaera requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 17:48, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Rockin' the Woods has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

NN festival.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello EliaMssawir. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:EliaMssawir. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=EliaMssawir|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 11:07, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have an undisclosed financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:42, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have been a member of Wikipedia since over 10 years... My first published article was in 2009, followed by few others that were included on wikipedia. You simply banned me for wrong reasons! I clarified that I haven't and will never be paid or compensated for my work on 2 of your reviewer's pages, and yet you blocked me. If that's how wikipedia treats it's readers and contributors, I don't want to be part of it. Shame, after a decade of supporting this website, I get banned for false and untrue reasons. In my 10-11 years I haven't even violated 1 single rule mentioned on the website, and I insist now that I didn't and never will.

Answering all your questions, I have been a member of wikipedia since over a decade, with a publish article that goes back to 2009. I answered all reviewers questions and concerns, that I am in no way, shape or form, getting paid or compensated for the article I wrote about the artist Freek. I'm not sure how can I prove this, except that my track record on the website shows my intentions and how I usually support music artists and bands. No clue from where you understood that I'm getting paid, but I guess we can all make assumptions and never take into consideration the other person's true story. I have been banned now for false claims, even thought I answered bot reviewers that my this is an unpaid article and no one in this world is giving me a cent for it.

You claim that I'm editing with my real name, have you google my name and seen that I'm a music activist? that I fight for music and artist in the middle east? And all my published articlas are got middle eastern bands and musicians.

Last but not least, I have shows, proven and included all legit resources and enough evidence that Freek falls under the musical notability criteria. 6 legit and international resouces claim so, as well as the front cover of a regional magazine.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have been a member of wikipedia since over a decade, I have read and understood the terms & conditions over all these years, I have a track record of not violating one rule. I submited articles since 2009, and now out of nowhere reviewers are saying I'm getting paid for an article I made for an Arabic artist. I have answered all the questions of the reviewers and made sure to include the righ resources that shows that the artist is legit, knowns, famous, and falls under the musical notability criteria. What else do I need to do more?

Decline reason:

Based on off-wiki evidence that I am not allowed to state publicly, I do not believe you are being completely honest in your request. As such, I am declining it. If you truly are not being paid to edit, I suggest that you think about why people might think that you are. 331dot (talk) 09:11, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Admin, as mentioned in my previous reply to one of your reviewers, based on your "non-wiki" evidence, and your research about my name, have you actually read about me and what I do? I'm a music activist that has been around for over a decade and promoting middle-eastern music. What you guys are basing your "believes" (which i stress on, that it's just a believe), on what you feel like "is right" and no proof, evidence to anything your claiming. You are currently defamating my name on the web on false accusations. Last thing to add, do you really think an artist page, for an un-signed artist and from the middle east can actually make money for me? Have you been in the industry? or even in this part of the world? Please think twice before you jump into false conclusions and false "believes".— Preceding unsigned comment added by EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

Paid editing is not necessarily about generating money or income, it's about being paid to create an article, or creating one as part of your job duties. 331dot (talk) 09:25, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What is your proof that I'm getting paid to create this article? No one can support others these days without getting paid? Your answer to my questions shows that there is something that is not adding up in the story or claims. Why I haven't flagged 10 years on wikipedia while posting articles about bands and musicians? why now? Again, something that is not adding up in your claims. EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

That you may have gotten away with paid editing for 10 years doesn't mean that you can continue to do so(a paid editing disclosure requirement was added to the Terms of Use less than 10 years ago). As I said, I am not allowed to disclose off-wiki evidence publicly per WP:OUTING. I would suggest that you consider what might be found when searching for your username and what about that information might cause others to think that you are being paid for your contributions. I can't say any more than that. 331dot (talk) 09:47, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This sort of defamation that has been used against myself and my name in here is unacceptable. I have been the most professional in dealing with this, but note something mr. 331dot. not you or anyone on this website is allowed to accuse me of anything that is false. Clean your fingers before typing phrases like "That you may have gotten away with paid editing for 10 years doesn't mean that you can continue to do so." cause respectful people like myself don't accept such accusations. After doing my own research about this issue, I came to a "conlusion" and "believe" that you and other admins/reviewers are racists, especially after following your "contributions" against other members on the website. I'm honestly very disappointed with Wikipedia allowing such mentalities to run the website. Be sure that I am not the person to shut up, and I will not allow this to go through easily. Ban me, block me, doesn't matter to me, you are not the first person to try and silence me. Research my name carefuly, and you shall see that I am nothing but an open book, and definitely a fighter for rights. Have a nice day to you and your group of ignorante people. When you see this story online, remember that you made a wrong discion. EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

I don't know what race you are, so I don't know why you accuse me of racism. It's disappointing to see you descend into unfounded accusations instead of addressing the questions given. You are free to make another unblock request to be reviewed by someone else if you wish. 331dot (talk) 10:04, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You obviously know my race, especially after you did your "off-wiki" research. I'm using my real name and not hiding anything from you nor other admins/reviewers. So please don't take me as an ignorante person. Answering your second part, have you read my answers to the previous reviewers/admins? If one person (the one who first flagged me) kept on dealing with this matter, it would have been resolved, but with every new reply I get someone new asking the same questions; Which i clearer answers: I am not taking any kind of money of compensation for this article NOR any other articles I have written in the past 10 years on Wikipedia. I have proven that the artist Freek falls under the musical notability criteria. Again; I am only support artists from the middle east and musicians that are making a difference in the industry. I am not promoting Eminem or Foo Fighters to make money. How many people should I deal with more to explain this? This has been taken quiet alot of my time. EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

I don't know your race, people of different races can be in different parts of the world. I don't care what your race is, you are a human being. You may make another unblock request if you wish, I have nothing else to add. 331dot (talk) 10:14, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Admin, I am requesting for the second time to review my block cause it's not reasonable. The story is that I created an article for an artist from the middle east and your reviewers think I'm getting paid for it cause their google search showed results of my achievements in the regional music industy which led them think I do it to get money. I promise and I swear to god and all of the gods that you and I believe in, that I havent got paid a single dime or any kind of money to create this article or any article on wikipedia. I have read the terms & conditions of the website and I have been following them since 2009. I am not a new user and definitely would not lie about something that I have been loud about, being a music activist in the Middle East. Honestly its taking a lot of time to explain that and no one is actually taking the time to reconsider, which makes me question on what basis these claims are. Last time, I am not making any money, taking any money, nor receiving any money or any kind of compensation for the article or any articles written before in the 10+ years that I've been here. I am using my official name, cause I have nothing to hide and I'm definitley not decieving anyone here. If I want to make money, I definitely wouldnt be writing articles as my English is not up to the standards of this community. I'm simply a supporter of artists from the Middle East and I will never stop supporting them. Hope you reconsider and thank you.

EliaMssawir, I'm prepared to discuss this, but can only really do so if you agree to waive your right to anonymity here. Our (very strict) rules prevent us from linking an editor to a real-world person, what we call WP:OUTING. If you specifically waive your right to protection under that policy and authorise us to discuss your real-world identity and connections, then I would have some questions for you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 12:12, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, by using my name on the internet and posting with no hidden identity, means I'm automatically waiving my rights to anonymity. I have nothing to hide and definitely nothing to worry about. Feel free to ask. EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

Hello, Is there any update on this? EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

I don't know what Justlettersandnumbers' questions are(and they may be busy with other things, we are all volunteers here), but I would ask, are you not an artist manager and entertainment booker for 'Big Beards Entertainment'? 331dot (talk) 08:01, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cause Justlettersandnumbers was answering me faster, was just following up on his request. I'm a volunteer in writting the articles as well. I prefer if one admin can deal with this please; but answering your question I am the owner of Big Beards Entertainment, and it's an events & entertainment company based in Dubai. EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

As I reviewed one of your requests, I cannot review another, but you asked for an update. Someone else will review this but I'm trying to anticipate their questions to move this along, at your request. Are the musicians you have been editing about your clients? 331dot (talk) 08:13, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, none of the articles I wrote about any artists since I started till now are in any way my clients, nor I have any contract (official and unofficially) with any. I have been supporting them and trying to give them exposure. None of the artists mentioned in any article has paid me for any support I have given. Big Beards clients are companies like Red Bull and Puma, not even music related. EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

If that's true, why does Freek appear as a client of your company on your company website? 331dot (talk) 08:22, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cause we book artists and entertainment to events, the artists you see on the website are not signed to us. Most artists in the country don't have representation, and none of them actually need, but agian we support them by giving them exposure whenever we can. None of them pay us for anything, the company generates its income from the events that it does for brands and companies, and we always try to include local and regional artists. That being said, you now know that we never get paid from the artists. Feel free to reach out to Freek and ask him yourself.EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

I guess I don't see the distinction there; however, I have no further questions, and will leave this for someone else to review as I've stated. It should be soon, though I cannot give you a timeframe as, again, we are all volunteers here. 331dot (talk) 08:35, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well of course the dsitinction is there, can't accuse people of getting money for an article they wrote while they are not. At the moment I'm fighting this because of false accusations and the defamation of my name on the web, I don't care whether the article gets approved or not, my reputation is much more important as my name in the industry is clean; wouldn't allow anyone to step on that. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me, I shall wait. Have a good day. EliaMssawir (talkcontribs)

Request reason:

This is the 3rd time I make the unblock request, Please read the answers above, review my request and please unblock my 10 years account! You are being unfair and accusing me of something that is not even close to the truth! I explained and submitted my case. Even with the demafation of my name, I'm still being respectful and trying to work with you and explaining what went wrong. I won't be begging anymore as it's clearly becoming a case of who's superior here.

Decline reason:

I have independently determined that you have indeed violated WP:COI. You have written about Freek, an artist who appears as a client on your business's website. You don't have to receive money specifically for your edits here, this alone is sufficient to establish a conflict of interest. It's possible you misunderstand WP:COI and WP:PAID. For example, WP:PAID does not require that you receive money for your edits. Yamla (talk) 12:48, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I also note you say over on File:KaoteonMembers.jpg that you "manage the band". I note also that you've edited Kaoteon in clear violation of WP:COI and WP:PAID. --Yamla (talk) 12:51, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So now you have other reasons and "rules" throwing at me so you justify what other admins did. This is obviously a case of rasicm towards arabs and black artists like I stated weeks ago. I don't want to be part of such a community, and I will be taking this to social media, let people know what kind of "volunteers" are running what-used-to-be a useful platform. Shame.

We don't know your race. There is no basis for claims of racism. 331dot (talk) 13:41, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Freek

[edit]

Hello, EliaMssawir. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Freek".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 18:44, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Freek on the cover of Musivv Magazine.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notice

The article Beirut Rock Festival has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails GNG. Only primary sources provided. No Arabic version of article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
