License tagging for Image:SEAgamescenterkoratphoto.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SEAgamescenterkoratphoto.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:09, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

2007 Southeast Asian Games

[edit]

hello Frank G Anderson,
i noticed your edit to the Venues section of the article, 2007 Southeast Asian Games and i noticed that although there are interesting things mentioned, i believe i should note that what you've added has nothing to do the with the venues section, perhaps a little rewriting will merit an entire section. also i wanted to take note that it should have been worded in a non-POV manner. i'll try to rewrite as soon as i get time. if you have any questions please feel free to leave a note on my talk page or visit WP:NPOV. thanks and more power. --RebSkii 19:09, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image permission problem with Image:Abhisitlarge1.gif

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Abhisitlarge1.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Paul_012 (talk) 10:51, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Lady mo and heroism at tung samrit requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on Sunti Pichetchaiyakul requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. The article Anudith Nakornthap has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Translation of sections of th:Royal Thai Army

[edit]

Dear Mr Anderson, I'm looking for a translation of a section of the th:wiki article on the RTA, currently in a sandbox of mine: User:Buckshot06/Royal Thai Army order of battle. The original is at th.wikipedia.org/wiki/กองทัพบกไทย#.E0.B8.AA.E0.B9.88.E0.B8.A7.E0.B8.99.E0.B8.81.E0.B8.B3.E0.B8.A5.E0.B8.B1.E0.B8.87.E0.B8.A3.E0.B8.9A. Might you be able to help? Kind regards Buckshot06 (talk) 06:08, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Americans Abroad Caucus, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.aaro.org/lobbying/americans-abroad-caucus.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 18:35, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That something is publicly available does not mean it is not copyrighted. In this case it should be obvious, as the text is marked "Copyright © 2013 AARO - Association of Americans Resident Overseas. All Rights Reserved". Please do not copy text to Wikipedia unless you are sure we can legally use it - it has to be in the public domain or available under the CC-BY-SA licence. If you're not sure then please don't copy it. Hut 8.5 10:57, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Thames Valley Council for Community Action, Inc. (TVCCA) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.tvcca.org/about/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dr. David Streckfuss, a page you created has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace. If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements. If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13. Thank you for your attention. Your article submission Dr. David Streckfuss

[edit]

Hello Frank G Anderson. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Dr. David Streckfuss.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dr. David Streckfuss}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 21:32, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of CSNM

[edit]

Hello Frank G Anderson,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged CSNM for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. versace1608 (talk) 18:47, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

All articles on organizations must comply with WP:CORP to be accepted for inclusion in Wikipedia. Also, articles written in a non-neutral tone, as this one was, violates WP:NPOV and may be deleted as promotional. Wikipedia is not a medium for publicity. Please remember that. ~Amatulić (talk) 19:01, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me out vs. deletionist approach on a Thai stub

[edit]

Hi there! I found your name among Active members of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Thailand. Could you help me out in defending the notability of M-150 (energy drink) as an admin is apparently unhappy with its notability despite the sources I have provided to try to save the article. If you speak Thai (I only superficially understand it due to my basic understanding of Lao), any source you could provide would also really help and maybe induce some people to modify their deletionist editing bias. I quit Wikipedia for years as I was spending more time defending legitimate edits from rule extremists than contributing legitimate edits. I hope you can take a minute or two to help me out on this. Thanks!! Rdavout (talk) 19:46, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You allow an article hardly complimentary to Mark Levin, indeed allowing four left-wing publication citations that make it appear critical of Levin. Politico is just one citation you used. My purpose in making corrections, nothing less than neutral about them and indeed, far fairer than your lopsided version that relied on critics in the Guardian and Politico. So what was less than neutral about my edits and so neutral about the original? Also you used the term vandalize. What do you mean by that and what was it that you think I did that was vandalizing? Look forward to your attention on this. Even Mark Levin is citing the unbalance in the original Wiki article.Frank G Anderson (talk) 07:25, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
