Estimates

[edit]

I appreciate that you are adding "estimate" to Indian film article grosses per the discussion, but you should not be changing the sources or converting from millions or billions to crore, per the same discussion and others on WP. BollyJeff | talk 14:10, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding improperly sourced content, as you did to List of highest-grossing Indian films. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Diffs: [1] Despite two previous requests from users on your talk page, you continue to add poor references. desiretrees.com is a faceless blog run by unknown parties.

There is no presumption that anything written on a blog is factual, as anyone can start a blog and call himself an expert on a subject. We only care what reliable published sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about any given subject. Established mainstream sources like proper newspapers and magazines tend to be well versed on things like journalistic integrity. Blog writers have no such burdens. It appears you received this warning because you initiated a discussion in the middle of some content on my user page, not on my talk page. Your query: i am gulshadsaif you was massage me that i have wrong entered in List of highest-grossing Indian films. i have checked url of bahubali and i have not found any article for bahubali that show 600 crore is completed. only found that it will earn 600 cr. so why that url is proper by you. i have also searched in google bahubali worldwide collection. tell me how i can check url is correct?
This source attributes the 600 crore claim to media analysts. This is perhaps not the strongest reference because it doesn't sound like The Hindu verified the data independently, but this source says that the film grossed 600 crore from four language versions. These references can be found at List of highest-grossing Indian films. If you feel like responding, please do so below so we can keep the discussion in one place. Thanks. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Farha Saifi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

A tag has been placed on Gulshad Saifi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Gulshad Saifi. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Gulshadsaif. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article N.S. ENGINEERING WORKS, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Savonneux (talk) 10:58, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Koimoi

[edit]

Hi there, regarding these edits at List of highest-grossing Indian films, Koimoi is not considered a reliable source by the Indian cinema task force at Wikipedia. For more info about what sources should and should not be used, please see WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources. I would further add that if you had found a reference that was somehow more accurate (not sure how you'd know that, but whatever) than Bollywood Hungama, leaving Bollywood Hungama as a reference for the 589 crore figure doesn't make any sense, because Bollywood Hungama didn't say 589 crore. It should have been removed. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:47, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
