I have reverted back your revert of my edit. He was definitely "Whitfield" - see his profile [1]. He also played football for Old Etonians and appeared in two FA Cup Finals. I am putting together an article on him. Cheers. Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 06:29, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes - you're right. The article titles in the references should revert back to "Whitfeld". Sorry for being over keen. I'll expand the article later to include his cricket career. -- Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 08:15, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Vote in WP:CRIC

There has been a issue in WT:CRIC that needs your vote. Thanks --06:32, 1 February 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by AshwiniKalantri (talkcontribs)

Herb

To be honest, I think it's in pretty good shape. I'd stick with it a little longer. There are no opposes and it will sit there for a while before it gets kicked off as there is a lot happening, and I have every intention of supporting soon as it's a good piece of work. I have been a bit busier than expected this weekend, but I can give it a quick trawl through this week, and I don't think it's a long way away. I think once we've finished with the current comments, a few more reviewers might chip in. At that stage, it would be worth pinging Brianboulton and Giants2008 for their comments. And maybe Brad78 who did the GA review, but I'm not sure he bothers with FAC. So I'd stick at it. If you weren't under the weather, I'd suggest reviewing a few other FACs as this usually goes down well.

Re Yorkshire, I only just noticed that the squad details were out of date, so I thought I'd update it, but I hate tables. I'll have a look at yours and probably steal it unashamedly. I did wonder if there is much point in splitting the squad into batsmen, bowlers, etc. I'd have thought a sortable table with "role" in it would be better. But I don't have a clue how to begin, so sod that! I'm more worried about cramming 150 years of turbulent history into it without making it too detailed, so it probably means a new article at some point to contain it all. And I still think the county articles are grim and need making better: I completely cut the records from Yorkshire and will probably get the scissors out again soon for the grounds. However, as Blackjack is AWOL, it makes it much trickier. --Sarastro1 (talk) 21:51, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

And I thought cricket had too many stats... Nigej's bits seem to be complicating it slightly, so it may be worth cutting them back for now. It would help if he was around as he has some great sources. Somehow, he found a free image of Malcolm Jardine, of all people, and several of the images I've put in Yorkshire CCC have come from him. --Sarastro1 (talk) 22:06, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
I will be glad to take a look at it, but it may take me a few days - thanks for the heads up. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 20:04, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
I was doing a quick copy edit of Herb last night when my computer died! I will still carry on and will add the couple of things I've mentioned, but just to warn you I might be a little on and off for the rest of this week while I get the thing fixed. --Sarastro1 (talk) 08:29, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay, my computer is much deader than I thought, and I'm having to borrow computers when I can! --Sarastro1 (talk) 23:44, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
Congratulations on this! Great work. --Sarastro1 (talk) 22:17, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Women's task force

Hey. I'd like to be a part of this. I'd be happy to be involved in expanding women's international torunaments and teams articles and english counties teams. I have a sister playing on one so it's of interest to me. I'm not greatly active as I'm busy with work and also trying to do work on Under-19 cricket but I'm hoping I can have some input at a steady pace!! Waterhogboy (talk) 19:04, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Just an fyi, I'll be addressing your comments at Talk:List of Tampa Bay Lightning seasons, as the list has already been promoted. You just caught me at the end! Nomader (Talk) 00:44, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

List of Ashes series

Hey Harrias. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner! I'll have a look at this on Friday I think. I'm out of the wiki-world for a bit between now and then, but I'll do my best to get back to you then. Take it easy, all the best, The Rambling Man (talk) 19:22, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Brabourne Stadium

Hi,

Understand u do a bit of work on WP:Cricket. Looking for someone to do a copy edit on the Brabourne Stadium article and give some feedback re taking it forward to GA status. Can u please chip in with your thoughts? I know the history and pre 1973 tests needs some working on - however would like feedback. Cheers, Around The Globeसत्यमेव जयते 12:31, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Ta mate. Yes, referencing (specially in the founding and cricket matches section) is weak. I was thinking of dividing the cricket into 1st innings and 2nd innings (instead of having the return of international cricket). I was looking for stadium articles to get an idea of the criteria I should be looking at, however I dint spot any stadium articles in the FA/GA cats of WP:Cricket! That is something that we need to look into - even Lord's is C class! I guess the examples you gave are the next best. There is some way until the Peer Review - thanks for the offer though, much appreciated. BTW, heartiest congratulations to thy Majesty on being bestowed with the Imperial Napoleonic triple crown jewels. Cheers, Around The Globeसत्यमेव जयते 16:20, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Great. Im working on the founding and the pre 1973 cricket as I mentioned. The architecture is a bit tough - for the 2006 champions trophy there was renovation, new lights and a new media centre above the north stand. Iv found refs for the renovation and lights, however I dont find the new media centre mentioned anywhere in the news (refer to the north stand pic in the gallery and you will see it on top)! The work is going to be tough, given that some info as of five years back have no ref, how about 50 years ago! Taunton, still remember the 1999 World Cup match like yesterday! You have a good article structure there (more of the ground than of the matches there! Which is gr8, on the Brabourne article we seem to have the opposite!). Look forward to coordination. Cheers, Around The Globeसत्यमेव जयते 08:04, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

PR

Im going to be a bit of a stick in the mud (Apologies for the same). I made a new article today List of international cricket centuries at Brabourne Stadium - based on similar FL's - and have nom it for PR. Do go thru it - your feedback would be appreciated. Around The Globeसत्यमेव जयते 14:07, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Cheers mate, much appreciated ;). Iv worked on your input and am now listing it for FL review - do lemme know if there are any further changes you think are needed. Thanks, Around The Globeसत्यमेव जयते 09:35, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Signpost quote

Hi Harrias. As you may know, List of international cricket centuries by David Gower, which you wrote, was one of six lists that share the designation as the 2,000th Featured list. To highlight the milestone, I'm writing a small piece for The Signpost, at Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2011-03-28/Features and admins. Do you think you could give us a few sentences on your thoughts on being a nominator of one of the 2000th FLs, as well as reflections on the FL process as a whole? Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 04:24, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
