St Margaret's Church, Halstead
We've noticed you've done a lot of pages for churches in and around Kent - is there any chance you could perfect the new page for St Margaret's Church, Halstead, Kent?

George Hotel
Brilliant work!! I'm amazed at how resourceful you are on that area. Dr. Blofeld 09:54, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
You did nominate it right? This morning I started Goodnestone Park. I wondered if your resources extended further east? Dr. Blofeld 11:45, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

re: an image replacement
Actually, I think the original Aubrey House image (in Grade II listed buildings in Brighton and Hove: A–B) is better. It's got a dramatic quality to it, and the lighting makes the pink color of the wall look much more pink than a weird shade of white. Circéus (talk) 21:35, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- I agree the centering isn't ideal, but in this case it works for the subject. Your framing, especially with the lighting, looks... cramped and oppressive. That open window, for some reason, also adds a little touch of "liveliness". Circéus (talk) 21:55, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- I understand the argument for this kind of subject, pretty much all of your other pics are okay, but this is kind of a special case XD Circéus (talk) 22:06, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Russian Memorial etc
Hello. I was just about to come and say thanks for the infobox etc. Originally I'd only intended to write about the church, really just to see if I could manage something outside my usual field, but was so taken with the story of the prisoners that I thought it needed an article of its own. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 13:11, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Passed. Well done. SilkTork *YES! 11:53, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Congratulations! I have no doubt that you have at least 10 articles which would pass GA with minimal work. I'm also tempted to nominate the George Hotel. I don't want you to feel pressured though. If its OK by you I'll find a few more of your articles which I think will pass GA and will nominate them. Only a few though as I don't want it to be a burden and worry for you amongst your ongoing work. But when you are a quality editor and as resourceful as you are your GA count should be extremely high and it is good articles which are so important towards raising the status of wikipedia. Dr. Blofeld 12:12, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Are there any local maps of Crawley or Brighton you want? I can request User:Nilfanion to make some if you require them. We could do with a map of Crawley I think. I think I'll request a map of the Borough of Crawley. It will prove useful in architecture articles I think. Dr. Blofeld 12:23, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Hokey dokey. I've requested a Borough of Crawley map. It would also be good to have a Brighton promenade map for individual buildings along the waterfront. You could probably make one from OSM for that but recently I've founded the server to be problematic, preventing me from creating any maps. I'll wait for your architectural additions to George Hotel before nominating. It should definately go for GA in the future though... Dr. Blofeld 13:27, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- Are you aware of the song Brighton Camp? Any thoughts on a mention undern this article? Mjroots (talk) 10:10, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

New GA noms
Hi. I've nominated both St Margaret's Church, Ifield and Royal Albion Hotel for GA. The GA proceess is currently slow so should give you the chance to make any additions over the next few weeks. The hotel article could use more info on the hotel facilities though... Dr. Blofeld 18:21, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Given that it plays a major role in understanding how 75 Holland Road came to be, the location of Palmeira House should really be stated in a clearer way, ideally with the full address. I just spent over twenty minutes fiddling in Google Street View and was unable to figure out where it is.
As a side note, do you think it could be in any way relevant to mention how the Holland Road Baptist Church is basically a couple dozen yards away? Circéus (talk) 00:22, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- I could have sworn when I read the article, it explicitly stated that Palmeira House still existed, which probably explain my confusion better >__> Circéus (talk) 23:12, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
A favour
Hi Hassocks
While staying at a friend's cottage in Norfolk recently we found a gem of a parish church nearby. Finding a copy of Pevsner on the bookshelf I spent a wet morning starting my first church article. I wonder if you would be kind enough to glance through it for glaring errors before I launch it into the world?--Charles (talk) 21:29, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
DYK nomination for Reading Town Hall
Hi. I have reviewed your multiple-article DYK nomination, and have responded there. There are a number of issues, most importantly regarding Reading Town Hall, which you should address. Regards, Strange Passerby (talk) 09:48, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

IPA place names
Hi, I was wondering who i had to talk to about correcting non RP phonetic transcriptions of British place names...? I tried just doing it but met with a bit of resistance and was told I have to discuss these changes before carrying them out.
