Minor edits
[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. --SubSeven (talk) 23:03, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Hatripet. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Jadranka Skorin-Kapov, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
- instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the
{{request edit}}
template); - avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you. AllyD (talk) 07:36, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
Adding external links
[edit]You added links to Amazon's sales site for a recent book by Jadranka Skorin-Kapov to various articles. Please read WP:ELNO and in particular WP:LINKSPAM. AllyD (talk) 07:55, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The request was not specific enough. You may consider leaving your comments on the Talk page or escalating significant issues to the conflict of interest noticeboard. |
Could you please remove a reference to notability biographies? Aso, I added 2 book citations, could the issue about verification be removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hatripet (talk • contribs) 14:52, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. See Template:Request edit/Instructions for more information. Sam Sailor Talk! 22:51, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
References
[edit]The two references you added are to books by the subject of the article. To establish notability, references need to be about the subject: see WP:RS. The relevant notability criteria for this biography are these. AllyD (talk) 17:54, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
Authority control
[edit]An impartial editor has reviewed the proposed edit(s) and asked the editor with a conflict of interest to go ahead and make the suggested changes. |
The authority control template is added, but nothing appeared in the article? Can you help with information? Thanks!Hatripet (talk) 21:18, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Follow the instructions found at Template:Authority control. Sam Sailor Talk! 22:51, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Jadranka Skorin-Kapov. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. AllyD (talk) 21:57, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- As noted previously, references need to be about the person, not by the person. The notability criteria relevant to this article are WP:NACADEMICS and WP:AUTHOR; both require non-primary sources. AllyD (talk) 22:09, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- A page on an employer's website can provide basic verification of the information in an article, i.e. confirming that the person does indeed work there. In some cases it can also contribute towards evidence of notability, for example if it indicates the person as occupying an academic position that meets WP:NACADEMICS no. 5 (named chair / distinguished professor). But in general notability needs to be demonstrated by reliable 3rd party sources, and these are neither one's employer nor publisher. AllyD (talk) 07:40, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
