Do you have proof or are you a happy-go-lucky racist?

In the talk page of the article GREECE, you stated, "It is no news that Greek editors who are naturally involved with this article would dread to see the Republic of Macedonia being referred to by any name but "FYROM". What proof do you have that the users are Greeks? Have you exchanged ID cards with them? Do you know them personally? And if they are Greek, what makes you think that all Greek editors would 'dread to see the ROM" referred to as such? Am I correct in assuming that you have NO proof but that you just like to kick ass on racial grounds? You also state that, "the United Nations have no power of decision whatsoever on Wikipedia's content". So according to you there is no need to quote the UN because wikipedia has the final word? Probably not, but again, perhaps you just like to 'kick ass' for the hell of it. Am I wrong? I am certainly open to discussion. Enjoy the ride. Politis (talk) 15:54, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I do not understand your No thank you image. If you must make attacks on ethnic grounds, then answer my question. What makes you tag users on ethnic grounds and seemingly abuse them on ethnic grounds? Thanks. Politis (talk) 16:55, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Retired

Hello, Husond. I forgot to recognise you when I added a semiretired tag to my talk page, as your were a kind and loyal administrator to me. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to officially retire now. It's been better for me when I'm not on Wikipedia. Feel free to add your signature on my talk page. Good luck to you! SF3 (talk!) 01:11, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Husond, stop your attempt to stall any discussion on the discussion page

Instead look at every other WP, they all have the country template of the RoK in the Kosovo article, with exception of the serbian WP, of course. Or do you think that english WP should be Serbopedia? --84.56.237.2 (talk) 16:12, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Húsönd 16:28, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So there are Trolls in control of every other WP except the english WP or why is it that the english WP is the only one with 3 templates instead of only one? --84.56.237.2 (talk) 18:25, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

how can you make the claim that some of the people on the list when all the info you have on them is the fact that they speak greek?  rdunnPLIB  10:48, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. I have a niece that speaks Greek along with a few other languages. If she were taking part you would have described her as being Greek, and you would have been wrong. Jack forbes (talk) 19:23, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Husond, have you considered deleting the darn list? it does seem to be aggravating, not helping, the situation, whatever the intent and rationale was originally. KillerChihuahua?!? 19:33, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Frankly, it was never my intention to delete it. Its purpose was neither to help, nor aggravate, it was simply to put the obvious on display. But the list is indeed causing more drama than I had anticipated and I'll consider deleting it. Just for the sake of peace and for the sake of saving people's time, not for the sake of halting some ludicrous accusations and warmongering that I've seen around. Hey there, just wanted to clear up a little misconception about my nationality. Jorge Ferreira (Portuguese singer)

Viva Husond! Obrigado. The Ogre (talk) 17:08, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thought you should know: I have nominated the list in User:Husond/Straw_Poll for speedy deletion. The reasons are explained there and in the arbitration Shadowmorph (talk) 07:51, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was wrong about the Speedy Del nomination. It was a nomination and explanation that technically was not applicable, not vandalism. I didn't know that it was already in WP:MfD, and couldn't find there. I thought Speedy Del was the applied way of policy. Sorry
I'm curious, why hasn't it been deleted? Shadowmorph (talk) 08:12, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, actually it was deleted. So, now something is Ok if it is temporary? Shadowmorph (talk) 08:15, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please edit the list. You should mention that upfront with some template to not misleed anyone. Like "this is a recreation of a previously deleted page. See the reasons and discussion here:...". I know you don't endorse and you posted it only temporarily. Do the right thing again Shadowmorph (talk) 08:24, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The list was temporarily recreated to serve as evidence for the current ARBMAC2. It will be re-deleted after the case is closed. All administrators and arbitrators will be able to see the contents of a deleted page, so deleting it will not prevent that info from reaching the case. It will though prevent other users from seeing it and that's why it is important that the page remains visible until the case is closed. Húsönd 10:51, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, but the list is incomplete and misleading. There are pro-UN naming people from Scotland (User:Jack_forbes) from Romania (User:Biruitorul)and Sweden that were left out. I found them in the poll. Another example is User:Apcbg who is probably Bulgarian as shown by his edits and his nickname "bg". I am against this witch-hunting but if you leave it should be more complete. Thanks for understanding and I trust you to hold on to your word later.Shadowmorph (talk) 14:36, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I'll update the list. Its current stage was the one by the time of deletion. Some users joined in afterwards. Húsönd 18:53, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a few minutes over the next few days...

Hi! I have been asked for help in a matter relating to a couple of Portuguese editors on my talkpage. I feel that the language used is similar, but cannot be certain if it is because they are the same editor or if they may be two people just using Portuguese language structures in English in the same way. What I would ask of you, if you have the time, is to look over the two editors and comment whether they are different individuals or not. The concern is that the older account acknowledged a COI in an area that the newer account is now editing, and that the alleged puppet should - if the same - either declare the COI or withdraw. Question

Could you prod or AfD this article? It's an article that doesn't meet N (his claim to fame is Grand Master of one of at least two Grand Lodges in Portugal, and he died in office), and was created by Carlos Botelho (the Grand Secretary of the jurisdiction), which is a COI. Unfortunately, my Portuguese is nowhere near good enough to follow through the process, but the fact that GLRP's website (IIRC maintained by Botelho) is also using the article as an official external link for bio information on him is also highly suspect insofar as NOT webspace is concerned. Viva

Cumps PTorg (talk) 13:09, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cumprimentos, Húsönd 18:33, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This arbitration case has been closed and the final decision is available at the link above.

  • All editors on Macedonia-related articles are directed to get the advice of neutral parties via means such as outside opinions and Geopolitical ethnic and religious conflicts noticeboard (WP:ECCN), especially since there are significant problems in reaching consensus.
  • All articles related to Macedonia (defined as any article that could be reasonably construed as being related to Macedonia, Macedonia nationalism, Greece related articles that mention Macedonia, and other articles in which how Macedonia will be referred to is an issue) fall under 1RR whenever the dispute over naming is concerned. Editors enforcing a case where a binding Stalemate resolution has been found are exempt from 1RR.
  • The following users have been banned from Wikipedia : Avg (talk · contribs)one year, ΚΕΚΡΩΨ (talk · contribs)one year, and Reaper7 (talk · contribs)six months .

  • The Committee takes note that ChrisO (talk · contribs) has resigned his administrator status while this case was pending, but also notes that he is desysopped as a result of the above case. ChrisO may obtain the tools back via the usual means or by request to the Arbitration Committee.
  • Future Perfect at Sunrise (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA) is strongly admonished for displaying a long pattern of incivil, rude, offensive, and insulting behavior towards other editors and failure to address the community's concerns in this regard. Because of this Future Perfect at Sunrise is subject to an editing restriction for one year, and is desysopped for three months as a consequence of poor user conduct and misuse of administrative tools. After three months, his administrator access will be automatically restored.
  • Single-purpose accounts are strongly advised to edit in accordance with WP:SPA and other Wikipedia policies. Diversifying one's topics of interest is also encouraged.
  • Abuse filter 119, as currently configured, logs all changes involving the word "Macedonia" but does not block any edits. The community is strongly advised to consider adding a new abuse filter criterion; any instances of changing the word "Macedonia" to "FYROM" (the five-letter acronym, not the full phrase) shall be prevented.
  • Within seven days of the closure of this case, a discussion is to be opened to consider the preferred current and historical names for the four entities known as Macedonia. The discussion will end one month after it is opened.

Unreliable Source

An American based company called "Palluxo" has been publishing lots of false information which have been brought up in discussions on article talk pages. Here is some proof of Palluxo publishing false information Paluxo [3][4]. Is there any sort of list we can add Palluxo to as an unreliable source? Regards Ijanderson (talk) 09:47, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here is Palluxo reporting that Micheal Jackson died of HIV/Aids [5] Noticed that no other media has even suggested this claim? They are reporting lies as fact. We need to make sure that Palluxo is not used as a source/ reference on Wikipedia. Ijanderson (talk) 09:50, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. Palluxo is a neo-nazi website publishing false news as real in all spheres. Somehow they ended up in Google News search but they definitely need to be added to some list of highly unreliable sources.--Avala (talk) 11:24, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Three years

Hey there Husond, hope everything's good with you. Just letting you know that this is the third anniversary of your joining Wikipedia. Thanks again for staying here and doing all the good work you do: it is appreciated. Acalamari 19:07, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you were the admin who closed the nomination to move Karl I of Austria to Charles I of Austria a couple of years ago by saying there was consensus to move and moving the page. This seems to have been pretty clearly the wrong decision. Yes, there were two votes for a move and none opposed in that move request. But a move request a year earlier had shown a considerable amount of opposition to a move. As such, it seems fairly clear that there was no consensus to move, and that you made the move in error. People shouldn't get to keep proposing moves until they get their way. john k (talk) 05:04, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This seems an awfully mechanical way of looking at it. The problem is not, I think, that any move request should need to look at previous attempts. It's that there was so little participation in the second move request that it's hard to see it as an accurate reflection of anything. When there's already been a move request that attracted significant involvement, the same person shouldn't be able to just propose a new move, hope that nobody from the previous vote shows up, and then get their way if they don't. john k (talk) 13:50, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, in my case my watchlist is so enormous as to be totally useless, so I pretty much never look at it. But I suppose that's my fault. Perhaps you're right that it's difficult to do it any other way, but it seems to me that if a move proposal only generates two comments, and there's a previous, and not ancient, move proposal that generated considerably more, the move proposal ought to be considered not to have achieved a consensus. But I can see how this would be hard to implement. john k (talk) 19:22, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Canvassing, POV, poor use of English and editing and edit warring

This is regarding Template:Kosovo-note and user User:Tadija.
Apparently there is a consensus to have the Template written in such a way, which clearly uses POV wording and a poor use of the English language.
His version says that Kosovo is "unrecognized by 130 UN member states". This is a poor use of English and is misleading. Kosovo is not "unrecognised" it is non-recognised by 130 countries. Unrecognised implies that they used to recognise and that recognition has since been withdrawn.
The wording is generally POV as it explicitly say how many countries don't recognise Kosovo before saying how many do, no where else on wiki does that. Mentioning of the Republic of China has also been removed. All this is POV INHO.
There is an apparent consensus for this on the talk page, but as you can see he has canvassed to pro Serb users who all supported his consensus, see here:

If you look at the template history, he has continued reverting my edits even though I have explained to him on his talk page. I have also warned him about the 3RR. For some reason after I posted a warning on his talkpage regarding the 3RR, he posted one on mine even though I obviously know the rules of 3RR since I just posted it on his page. Is this trolling?
Can you please give your judgement regarding the talkpage consensus. Hopefully you will see it is not neutral and that canvassing has been biased. Could you also monitor a new consensus building please to maintain neutrality and to stop canvassing please. Regards IJA (talk) 22:28, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Participation in Wikipedia Research

Husond,

Your Request for Adminship (RfA) process was reviewed and studied by our research team at Carnegie Mellon University early in our project to gain insights into the process. We reviewed what voters discussed about your case, and what qualifications you brought to the table as a candidate. In total 50 cases were personally read and reviewed, and we based our further research questions in part on your case. Congraluations on being granted the Admin mop, and we are confident the group made the right decision in your case!

In continuing our research, I would like to personally invite you to participate in a survey we are conducting to get perspective from people who have participate in the RfA process. The survey will only take a few minutes of your time, and will aid furthering our understanding of online communities, and may assist in the development of tools to assist voters in making RfA evaluations. We are NOT attempting to spam anyone with this survey and are doing our best to be considerate and not instrusive in the Wikipedia community. The results of this survey are for academic research and are not used for any profit nor sold to any companies. We will also post our results back to the Wikipedia community.

This survey is part of an ongoing research project by students and faculty at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science and headed by Professor Robert Kraut.

I gave the data, he is disputing it, just for personal taste. Domaleixo (talk) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.41.242.19 (talk) 14:22, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because you've contributed to FPC either recently or in the past, I'm letting you know about the above poll on the basis of which we may develop proposals to change our procedures and criteria. Regards, Papa Lima Whiskey (talk) 10:06, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
