Saying hi

[edit]

Hi! :) I'm back and glad to see you are, too. Kayau (talk · contribs) 13:06, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome, shame I forgot my account - but hopefully I'll be able to sort something out! I plan to work on some of the articles about Thailand, seeing as they have plenty of room for improvement.
...And I've just realised I'm no longer the other side of the world from you! ;) Jr8825 (talk) 13:17, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Admin Help

[edit]

{{adminhelp}} Is there any way I can regain access to my previous account, I forgot my password after a long wikibreak and did not have an email linked to my previous account. I've explained what happened in a bit more detail here.

Thanks for any help! Jr8825 (talk) 11:12, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, sorry, in that case nothing can be done. The only way to regain your former account would be WP:USURP, but that requires that the account to be usurped has few or no edits and the requester is well established, and neither condition is fulfilled here. You can link your former account by putting {{User Previous Acct|1=Old Username}} on your new user page, and a corresponding note on the old account. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:32, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for replying, I didn't think there'd be a solution. Oh well. Jr8825 (talk) 11:35, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I hadn't forgotten that I owe you some research into this so on my way home from the airport I took a photo of Udon Thani station. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jose Pedrosa Galan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spanish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please participate to the talk pages consultation

[edit]

Hello

Our team at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on a project to improve the ease-of-use and productivity of wiki talk pages. As a Teahouse host, I can imagine you’ve run into challenges explaining talk pages to first-time participants.

We want all contributors to be able to talk to each other on the wikis – to ask questions, to resolve differences, to organize projects and to make decisions. Communication is essential for the depth and quality of our content, and the health of our communities. We're currently leading a global consultation on how to improve talk pages, and we're looking for people that can report on their experiences using (or helping other people to use) wiki talk pages. We'd like to invite you to participate in the consultation, and invite new users to join too.

We thank you in advance for your participation and your help.

Trizek (WMF), 08:37, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Teahouse Hosts

[edit]

Hello. Over at the Teahouse we're having a bit of a 'spring clean' by removing old entries from the list of Hosts that new users see. As you don't appear to have been very active there for quite some time, your 'host profile' has been removed from the list. But please don't let that put you off contributing again in the future - either by signing back up as a Host to assist on a regular basis, or just dropping in whenever you fancy helping out.

Thank you for all your past help and support for new users at the Teahouse. Nick Moyes (talk) 20:12, 9 June 2019 (UTC) "[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Forest of Dean, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Coleford (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:40, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
