religions of the Hungarian people[edit]

Can you explain me this: [1] with details? Especially the "other 25%" since they are the non religious ppl. (felekezeteken kívüli) [2]. Not the atheists/agnostics/jews/other. BTW I've just copied those datas from huwiki's hu:Magyarok. I put a question there too. --Vince hey, yo! :-) 14:29, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello! A bit off topic! I am trying to help a Norwegian person to find his roots. His family name is Milett, and I found this word in some Hungarian texts. Maybe you can explain me what this words actually means in a sentence like this: "Eltudom képzelni milett volna még kátyú esetén." Thank you very much! Jakro64 06:28, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the answer you gave on my discussion page, even if this one showed up to be a dead end. Jakro64 17:35, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Kissl, thank you for your message. According to WP:NCGN, the same name as in the title should be used also in the text of articles. The only exception is if a "widely accepted historic English name for a specific historical context" could be identified in a discussion on the talk page of the main article, using the evidence listed by WP:NCGN. Such a name should be consistently used by recently published English sources. Unless we can identify a widely accepted historic English name of Kosice, the same name as in the title should be used even if the official name of Kosice was Kassa in 1899. However, if you believe that Kassa can be proven to be a widely accepted English name of Kosice for certain period, I encourage you to initiate a discussion on the Kosice's talk page. The list of required evidence is listed here. If you have any additional questions, feel free to drop me a line. Cheers. Tankred 12:24, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Thank you. I was quite surprised when I saw your name in an edit summary of an IP and I decided rather not to revert that edit because I thought it was you. I hope you'll be better soon. Tankred 17:25, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Proposal to move Odorheiu Secuiesc to Székelyudvarhely[edit]

In case you are interested, there is a proposal to move the Odorheiu Secuiesc page to its native name Székelyudvarhely, similarly to Swedish settlements in Finnland, or German settlements in South Tyrol. For more, see the talk page of the article. Please remember that this is not simply a vote; your comments must include reasons to carry weight. VinceB case[edit]

Checkuser was already declined in that case, as the checkuser determined that the puppetry was too obvious for it to even be necessary. However, he's contacted me by email as well. I've asked for explanations of some things, if he can provide good ones, I certainly may well reconsider. If he's contacted you at this point as well, the best advice you could give him is to actually get back to me! I'll certainly hear him out, and consider carefully what he has to say. Soviet era[edit]

Szerbusz, én írtam a hosszabb írást a Hungary-Soviet era-ban, amit voltál szíves törölni. Megtudhatnám, hogy miért? Miért profibb ez szűkszavú leírás? Ezt az írást is kitörlöd? Így tudja mindenki szerkeszteni? Úgy demokrácia ez, mint Magyarország. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talkcontribs) 15:16, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I'm replying here because your IP is likely to change. I restored the prior version because the Hungary page should contain a summary, and your version was too detailed in my opinion. On the other hand, it was also quite emotive, which is not the preferred style in an encyclopedia (even if the statements are right and the text is well formulated to make a nice essay). You may want to register a username and consult a few introductory pages, such as WP:NPOV (regarding style) or WP:NOT which tells you that Wikipedia (unlike Hungary... :)) neither intends nor claims to be a democracy. Trianon link[edit]

Hmm, you may be right...I was just running on instinct myself, assuming that most people who searched for "trianon" would be looking for the world-reshaping treaty, not the building, but if it's a false assumption we can change it back, I'm not especially attached to that redirect. :-) (I don't actually know how to undo redirects, it a job for an admin, or do I just retrace my steps?) Trianon redirect[edit]

hi KL, it's KL. ;-)

I think I managed to do a quick-and-dirty solution for the Trianon redirect mess--I just redirected "Trianon" to Trianon (disambiguation) which is pretty much how it was before. I think that will work fine, but feel free to change anything you see fit. Cheers! K. Lásztocska 13:23, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

March laws[edit]

Hi. Since you have contributed to 12 points of the Hungarian Revolutionaries of 1848, I wonder whether you can also look at March laws. It is a fairly new article, but it concerns a topic of great historical importance - at least for Hungary and other countries formerly belonging to the Kingdom of Hungary. I hope someone will be able to expand it. Tankred 14:07, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

I have stoped to be civil with PANONIAN after 14 June 2007 when he has attacked User talk:Kingstone93-cro with croato-serbian words: Koji ti je kurac?. I think that translation will be something similar to "What the fuck is with you?". If he has not recieved blocking because of that then ..... Will be OK for future that I write comment about PANONIAN in style: "I think that he is Serbian fundamentalist" ? --- Rjecina 17:12, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I said that to him, but only after user Kingstone93-cro said that I am "chetnik" and "war criminal", which are very big insults. In another words, my answer to him was just REACTION to his behaviour, but it is he who did not had right to call me with such names and you too have no right because I did not called you "ustaša" or something like that (no matter that most Serbs would agree that it is justified to use description "ustaša" in your case). PANONIAN 22:13, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Please give me link (on my discussion page or Kissl will kill us both) where he has say that you are chetnik and war criminal. --- Rjecina 22:28, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
No problem: I wonder what you would answer to him after reading that shit. PANONIAN 22:39, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
His comment is that you support chetnicko-serbian politcs and not that you are Chetnik. You know that I agree with that comment ? (In future I will stop writing about that on this page) --- Rjecina 21:49, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
It is racistic insult to say to Serb that he is "Chetnik". If you agree with that you are nothing bur racist. PANONIAN 04:51, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Our wiki revert war is started with article History of Serbia. On talk page of this article he is writing how Yugoslavia and not Serbia has attacked Bosnia and Croatia. On talk page of article Federal Republic of Yugoslavia he is saying that Yugoslavia has not attacked Bosnia but Bosnian Serbs. I now want to speak about demographic question. PANONIAN like to write demography data how Serbs has been majority in Vojvodina, Slavonia, Hungary but if I do not make mistakes not even UK is having clear census data before XIX century so this is for me clear propaganda. There is no need to say that users from Croatia and Hungary do not agree with this numbers:))--- Rjecina 15:35, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
I gave you answers to all these questions on relevant talk pages, so it would not harm you to read them... PANONIAN

Gyurcsány Feri[edit]

Helló. Nem érdkel, hogy kinek van igaza, hogy valóban " Under his office, Hungary suffered a high-profile athletic doping scandal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens." vagy sem. A lényeg: HÜLYESÉGEKEN vitatkoztok, mind a ketten, miközben a LÉNYEG kimarad: semmit sem ADTOK HOZZÁ a cikkhez. Egy ***** soron vitatkoztok. Normális ez? Én írtam a hülye cikk kb. 90%-át, és ti egyetlen hülye mondaton vitatkoztok! Mintha az számítana! Inkább írjatok valami olyat, ami HOZZÁAD a cikkhez! Hihetetlen. Nektek csak egymás ***** fontos?? --Msoos 10:26, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Could you look at Kiev Expedition (1018) and comment on talk perhaps - there is a revert war going on about whether to include or attribute a fact about Moses' emasculation. I also noted that the Ukrainian source that is used as the reference seems to be written by a poetress - hardly a reliable source (and the website that is being added now doesn't seem very reliable, neither). While this could be discussed in the Saint's own article, I think the info is not properly verified and reliable to be used in related articles.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  16:32, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Kingdom of Hungary[edit]

These nationalities had no autonomy (see talk page debate), but the text suggests the Kingdom was some kind of a federal state. That is not just original research, but also not true. "In contrast", "in the nationalities' point of view", "a common state", "not identical to modern Hungary"... Will you ever find reference for such an ambiguous wording? Squash Racket (talk) 18:08, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, KissL, for protecting integrity of Kingdom of Hungary. When I have slightly more time, I will find references for that section. I hope the final solution will be acceptable to everyone. All the best. Tankred (talk) 18:21, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I think everybody had more than enough time to find references for that part. Right now it is ambiguous and original research. Squash Racket (talk) 18:26, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
The point is that there should be discussion on the talk page. Also time spent on this should be better spent on expanding the article with relevant historical information. Hobartimus (talk)

Hello, can you help me please[edit]

Hello i was wondering if you would be able to help me. I am currently helping edit International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence article. I have found this refernce on Hungary's status with Kosovo that i may need for the article. However it is Hungarian and i wanted to know if you could please translate it into English for me as i want to know what it says.

It isn't too long, but if you would translate it for me i would be very grateful. "original reference" I have copied it below for you.

"A FigyelőNet információi szerint a kormány és az ellenzék megállapodott arról, hazánk mikor ismerje el Koszovó függetlenségét. A kabinet valószínűleg március 19-én jelenti be a döntést.
