Hello,

Can you please refer to promotional phrases that been used in Integrated technology Group page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by AmmarMismar (talkcontribs) 07:25, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

@AmmarMismar:Thank you for your concern. i set it to speedy deleation because of the fact that the line "ITG’s prime specialty is Education Management software." in it suggested that you were supporting the company and you might be affilated with it, also please remember to sign your posts with ~~~~ and add heading for each new convosation on talk pages please,Thanks! Couple of suggestions

  1. Please try to spell and capitalise in a standard way while writing on talk pages: your messages are more likely to be read and respected. Capital "I", "deletion", "conversation".
  2. You might like to think about changing your username to something less confusing: because the "l" (small letter "L") is next to numbers, it's easily read as a "1" (number). I took 3 attempts at typing your name to get it right (tried a capital "I" too). It's up to you, but it's simple to change a username and might save other editors in future some frustration if there's something else you'd like to use instead. See Wikipedia:Changing username. PamD 09:49, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the suggestions @PamD: i only really got the Name from a Random Generator so i didn't really look into how it looked but i'll have a look at changing it. for the first suggestion though, all i can say is my fingers on my keyboard have a mind of their own. Thanks Dudel250 (talk) 09:54, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
Well, if you're going to edit an encyclopedia you need to exert Mind Over Fingers, so how about practising on the talk pages? PamD 09:57, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
@PamD: Sure thing Dudel250 (talk) 09:59, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

When you see a title with weird, wrong, capitalisation, it's helpful to try to Move it to the right capitals (This should be Mohammed Al Maiman). In this case, my attempt to move it failed - and on looking into it I found there had been a previous AfD, and another at another version of the name. (So someone had probably created this one with dodgy capitals as a way to get round the fact that they couldn't create it at the right title, not just by typing badly). It wasn't unsourced (as you said), there are a lot of refs but they've been formatted as inline external links (so they appear as bracketed full-size numbers). I don't know why you thought it a hoax (that's got an "x", not a "k"!), as it did have all those external links. Please slow down a bit and think before you type. Editing Wikipedia is great fun but you need to get things right most of the time: there's a lot to learn but it's an interesting journey. Happy Editing! PamD 11:55, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice! Dudel250 (talk) 12:04, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi Dudel250! The page was deleted, then undeleted, but please don't let this bother you. You did the right thing by tagging it for deletion (I could work out what it was about, but I'm kind of an odd-bod) as it was pretty much undecipherable. Hey, Dude, slow down there. Buildings are not eligible for Speedy Deletion under A-7. The Speedy criteria are very narrowly applied: if it doesn't fit, then you can only PROD the article or take it to AfD. If you've been adding Speedy A-7 templates to buildings, then you really need to stop and read the rules first. And, looking at the user's sandbox, s/he seems to have a respectable link for the courthouse, even if it's in Polish (I think): there is no rule against using non-English-language sources. PamD 14:17, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Here's the list: A-7 applies only to "individuals, animals, organizations, web content, events". A building is none of those. PamD 14:19, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
After I pointed it out to the deleting admin, Courthouse in Września has now been restored. It's got a source (albeit in Polish- I think). Looks a grand little article. I wish its editor luck, after the messy reception they've had so far. PamD 14:51, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
After looking further on the page and checking again the critica for speedy deletion i have come to that....i screwed up badly. i am sorry for anything i might have messed up with the page in question please take my apology. @SyossuPL: @PamD: Dudel250 (talk) 23:18, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Hey Dudel250 Maybe intend joust marking it for deletion you could say where it does belong since it is a legitimate company like dell or any other consulting/ manufacture. I addition I have never created edited or been a prat of Wikipedia other then to read stuff so I am a bit lost on what I am to do. I see there is a db-inc? I think that is for businesses?

thank you Eric

@Elessor: First please sign your name on talk pages using ~~~~ please so i know without checking the history of the page that it was you who sent it
Second that isn't a legitimate argument, just because its similar to dell doesn't mean it can be on wikipedia
Third i would not be posting on your real name anywhere on wikipedia and get a request for oversight on it so it can be removed from the talk page. Thanks! Dudel250 (talk) 02:49, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Please take more care. I've just seen GWR 101 Class. It has a detailed infobox and a short lead. If you think it lacks enough context to identify the subject , I wonder whether you should be editing here at all. Why do you think it was a "test edit"? Then there was another inappropriate A7-I can't quickly find it again as I'm on my mobile, some "bagging" topic. Please slow down and show more respect for the encyclopedia and other editors. Thanks. PamD 06:02, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

You got a point.@PamD: I'll keep note on whats on the infobox next time i see a blank page but with one.. was dealing with a page that i got speedy deleated under G11 at the time that got re-created.Dudel250 (talk) 06:06, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
And why revert Elessor's edit where they were correcting their own recent typos on this talk page? Your misspelled edit summary called it spam: frankly that's rubbish and rude. PamD 06:11, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

It's called an Edit Conflict. It happens. If you make a lot of questionable edits it will increase the number of people coming to comment on your talkpage and the likeliness of having edit conflicts. Calm down, edit more carefully, read the criteria for speedy deletion. And perhaps apologise to Elessor for your rude reverting of their typo-fixing. PamD 06:28, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed that you marked this page for speedy deletion. I want to make it very clear that the content of this page is real. A quick google search could have told you that. The page is lacking references, but this is simply due to the time it takes, and I will add references as soon as I find the time.

I could even suggest, that you could have added references had you done a google.

I am an MSc in Aerospace working with these issues on a daily basis. I am not a wikipedia vandal, and I strongly dislike being labelled as such. Please remove this tag as soon as possible. Jono799 (talk) 07:27, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi there; it is not clear to me why you tagged this article for deletion as being made up by the editor. It appears to be essentially factual. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 15:00, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

This is another example of you throwing around totally inappropriate "Speedy delete" tags. If you cannot tell fact from fiction, perhaps you should not be trying to edit the encyclopedia. Labelling new articles as hoaxes or invented is a very serious thing to do: imagine if your first encounter with the encyclopedia was to make a serious contribution which some slightly more experienced editor then labelled as "invented by the author". This one even had two sources. Not online, but sources do not have to be online.
I'm glad to see that this mistake was made before our discussions earlier today. I hope I won't see any more similar horribly wrong speedy nominations. (If you do continue to make such careless Speedy Delete nominations, I will report you to the Administrators Noticeboard: although this is the encyclopedia that anyone can edit, we also say Competence is required. By your wildly inaccurate speedy delete nominations you have repeatedly insulted other editors and wasted other editors' time.)
Before tagging any article for deletion, please read it carefully. Read the criteria carefully. Stop and think. Only if you are absolutely sure that the article meets one of the speedy deletion criteria exactly should you nominate the article for speedy deletion. There's a lot to learn about all aspects of editing Wikipedia: slow down and learn, please. Happy Editing! PamD 17:06, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
Another classic example (from before our discussion) is this one: tagged as "vandalism" and A-7,though it seems perfectly reasonable and has three sources. What were you thinking of? Perhaps that's another editor you should apologise to. PamD 17:41, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Hoax tag

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

Hello, and thank you for your efforts in patrolling new pages using Page curation. I noticed you tagged the new article Empire of Luxembourg with the {{hoax}} tag. Tagging an article as a possible hoax is a serious accusation, so please do not add this tag to an article without explaining why on the talk page, or at least in an edit summary. The {{disputed}} tag is also available if you believe that an article is not a complete hoax, but has serious factual accuracy problems.

I have removed the hoax tag from the Empire of Luxembourg article only because you did not explain why. I will not object to you re-adding the tag if you properly explain why; however, if you do, I strongly recommend you nominate the article for deletion as well, per WP:HOAX. Hoaxes should not be allowed to remain on Wikipedia for an extended period of time. Cheers, —KuyaBriBriTalk 20:49, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello @Kuyabribri: I added the tag because the page seemed to be very closely resembled to a line of hotels when i searched on google to make sure it was noteable and true. Thanks! Dudel250 (talk) 22:10, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

I did a search for "Canadian Rock" in relation to "The Band" and couldn't find anything to show that it was actually a real piece. The Band is pretty well known and given that the article claimed that it'd been covered by multiple performers, there would have to be some hits out there somewhere. I tried searching with the name Joseph Jones, but couldn't find anything. I know that the search terms are pretty broad, but if it existed then there'd be mention somewhere- especially if Justin Bieber was related to it, as the media seems to like to fall all over him anytime he does or says anything. It looked to be a fairly blatant hoax. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:55, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

You posted a Wikipedia:NOT#NEWS banner on my page, Australian declaration of war on Germany. First of all, I'm not exactly where you got the "overly promotional tune" part from. This is not a promotion. It is a historical event. It is also not biased. You may be confusing it with biased because of the speech, but those aren't my words. As stated, those were Australian Prime Minister Robert Menzies's words, as a declaration of war on Germany, and even those aren't promotional. However, I strongly disagree with moving it to Wikinews (mainly seeing as it's 80+ years old), and it is most definitely not spam. Thanks,

Cnd474747 (talk) 22:11, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I placed the tag because I thought it resembled a news like report or a essay and not a encyclopaedic page, I think you got a point and I will change the tag so it will say the page is like a essay, sorry for the confusion @Cnd474747: Dudel250 (talk) 22:56, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for changing the tag, however, there are now other issues. Since I'm not sure which of the issues you linked it to you're referring to, I will go through each. It seems most likely to me that you're referring to number 3.
1. It is not primary research. If the "reliable sources" part of that one is in question, I can find more reliable sources. Neither of those sources were published by me.
2. It is not a personal invention (nor an invention in general).
3. It is not a personal essay. The "Historical context" section may sort of feel like an essay, but that's kind of how histories are. This one seems to me the most likely of the listed that you're referring to.
4. It is not a discussion.
Thanks,
Cnd474747 (talk) 23:45, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
After Further Reading of the "Historical context" Section and reading other pages related to the subject i have removed the tag @Cnd474747: Since they are quite closely resembled to the writeing style of this page, though i would recomend also adding a few more <ref> Tags to the "The declaration" Section. As for 1. 2. and 4. I dont see why you would think i thought that was in the page, though i do see that you could easily cite a book or other publication not on the internet for 1. . Thanks! You tagged Elaine Vassie one minute after it had been created. It was not an attack page, or obvious vandalism. It was obviously a good faith start to a page, with a malformed infobox which already gave clear context - a rugby coach. It was completely inappropriate to tag it as A1,A3 and G2. Please do not add tags like this so quickly: indeed neither A1 nor A3 was correct, as the context was obvious from the text in the infobox, and there was content there. If you could not identify that it was about a rugby coach (A1), and that it already had meaningful content (A3), then perhaps you should not be trying to tag new articles. There was no indication that it was "A page created to test editing or other Wikipedia functions" (G2). Please WP:AGF and allow other editors a few minutes from article creation before you throw tags at their articles. Thanks. PamD 17:21, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
