Admin

[edit]

WT:PW#New Admin? - So, it looks like you have been anointed as the next project member to go through RfA. Are you up to it? Cheers, and a late Happy New Year Naha :) SexySeaBass 17:53, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have a solid resume, I think your chances at RFA are quite high if your responses to the questions are strong. - Caribbean~H.Q. 04:49, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you both for thinking of me, I have made some comments on the PW talk page :) Let me know what you think! --Naha|(talk) 14:34, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Inactivity shouldn't be a problem, I passed my RFA while on semi-break, as for the tools they usually take some practice before somebody uses them confidently, but we have a admin school that lets the new admins have a fair amount of practice with them, cheers. - Caribbean~H.Q. 23:36, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks :)

Talia Madison / Jamie Szantyr / Velvet Sky

[edit]

Hi! The Talia Madison article has landed at Wikipedia:Deletion review again: Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2008 January 14#Talia Madison.

This time around, User:Tigrahawk has created a version of the article in userspace in the hope of it being reckoned to sufficiently demonstrate notability: it can be found at User:Tigrahawk/Sandbox

Since you were one of the knowledgeable commenters at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Talia Madison, I was wondering if you might take a look at it and let me know what you think? It seems OK to me, but I'm out of touch with professional wrestling these days. --Stormie (talk) 02:29, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

..aaaand it's been nominated for deletion again. You might like to share your thoughts at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Velvet Sky. Cheers! --Stormie (talk) 09:17, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I can recall you doing pre-GAC reviews a few months back and was wondering if you could try to do one for this article, it was a collaboration of the week and I am going to work with some of the TNA refs soon, but you did work with Carlito and that article passed GA shortly after, that's a signal of quality and thus my reason to ask. Thanks for your time, cheers. - Caribbean~H.Q. 02:31, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hot Shots Golf 1997 (Game Box Cover).jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 01:50, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Naha

[edit]

Hey, it's been a while. How's everything going? Cheers, SexySeaBass 14:26, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Everything is going really well "in the real world." I'm substitute teaching while trying to figure out what University or other program I want to attend to become a certified special education teacher for elementary school age children. Trying to work out all the costs and time frame and all that. I've just recently realized that it is really what I want to do.
I was in Austin, Texas on Monday, Feb 4. and attended the Feb 4 and Feb 11 tapings of Monday Night RAW! They taped 2 weeks worth because they were going over seas for the next few weeks. The only thing that sucked was that HHH missed both tapings. I got to see Vince in person and Hornswoggle biting him during the Kiss My Ass club thing. The Jeff Hardy and HBK match was outstanding. We had amazing seats and I got a few pretty decent pictures that I need to crop and upload to Commons, we can definitely use some of them in the articles here. The whole thing was GREAT! This was the first time I'd been to a TV taping. Up until now I'd only attended house shows. I don't know if I can go back to house shows after this. The lights, the camera, the SET actually being there ..Lillian getting the crowd going, Jerry and JR ..its so much more fun than a house show where all the have is the ring and no promos and no set.
How are you? How is WP:PW doing? I haven't checked in on the talk page in like 3 weeks because I've been so busy. Take it easy, --Naha|(talk) 19:33, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, you're life sounds interesting. As far as I go, I've been diagnosed with depression, but am receiving the correct treatment for it after being prescribed an incorrect drug. A week of my life is a drugged up haze, but at least I don't remember most of the side effects 0_o. WP:PW is doing alright. Tons of disputes, and tons of GAs being trucked out as usual. Hopefully you'll get some free time soon. Cheers, SexySeaBass 05:39, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hang in there with the depression meds. Once you get the right med/dosage it generally takes a month or so for it to get *completely* built up well in your system and working 100% correctly. I know all about the haze too, but for a different reason. I was diagnosed with depression in 2000 and have been on daily meds ever since. The difference is, if I miss even *one* day of my meds, I'm in a really bad haze for about 36 hours until it kicks back in. Basically, I'll be screwed for a week or two if I ever decide I want to stop the meds myself and try life without them again. Fun stuff. I was lucky though, the first one I was prescribed worked for me. Unfortunately, mood disorder medications are not an exact science and its typically trial and error when finding the right med for a person.
Sounds like WP:PW is about the same, hehe. I'm still looking for the day when I can revert some of my attention back to the project! --Naha|(talk) 14:50, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Movie_Poster_The_Glenn_Miller_Story.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Welcome back

Hey, haven't seen you edit in a while. Just wanted to welcome you back. :) Gavyn Sykes (talk) 17:45, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'm not back "full steam" by any means, I just have some time today between the classes I'm teaching to look around and edit here and there. Appreciate it though. I miss being a regular :) --Naha|(talk) 17:46, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. Hey, it happens. Real life gets in the way. We understand, though you we do miss your opinions and contributions. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 17:53, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to add the box whenever you want; I copied it from someone else myself ;). Sorry for the short message; time is short and I can't leave a long reply. I'll probably add more later. Cheers Naha :) SexySeaBass 04:45, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So, you're going to be a teacher, eh? Though I don't know you in real life, you seem like someone who would be good at that. I just get that feeling from you. So are you planning on teaching middle school, ultimately? Also, good luck with your speeding ticket. My cousin is a police sergeant, and I can promise you the cop who gave that ticket felt terrible while he was giving it to you, even if he didn't show it. I hate it when stuff like that happens at the worst possible moment. Peace, SexySeaBass 04:03, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
