Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Falan Andrea 2 a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Falan Andrea. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Nirdis (talk) 05:08, 14 December 2021 (UTC) Please consider placing the template:[reply]

A tag has been placed on Falan Andrea requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

no content in the page and an wikipedia article already exists for the same topic

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello Nirdis. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Falan Andrea, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Nirdis. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nirdis|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 20:24, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not compensated for my edits. I'm just a big fan of Falan Andrea. Thank you. Nirdis (talk) 15:04, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't go removing maintenance tags from the page, as you have done for the fourth time on this article. You have not made any edits to address the issues with your last removcal. Doing so is disruptive as the sources included don't lead her to meet the general notability guideline. I'll leave it for someone else to add back the notability tag, but if they add it I warn you not to remove it without making substantial improvements. Doing so again may be seen as disruptive. I have added a maintenance tag to address the issue of the article being written from a fan's point of view. For example, "Falan faced it really well, not getting her music career or decency affected by it" is not from a neutral point of view. This, with many other sentences, need improvement to be encyclopedic. If you do remove this tag, then it will disadvantage the article as this places it in cleanup categories designed to allow other editors to improve on your work to make the article more encyclopedic. Removal of the tag may also be seen as disruptive, as in it's current state the article needs improvement. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 22:05, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. I get it. Thank you very much.

Nirdis (talk) 13:15, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please help me to write this article in a neutral point of view? I changed the sentence you mentioned. I can not find another issue. If you can, please help. Thank you. Nirdis (talk) 10:47, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Examples:
  • Just after the win, there was an immense backlash on social medias questioning Falan's win and making false accusations of her, from the angry fans of the first runner-up of the competition. should really be something like After she won the competition she received criticism for how she sang, what she wore and for in the opinion of the critics not being talented enough to be crowned the winner. However, this sentence needs further sourcing as the source that was included was an interview. Ideally something which isn't an interview needs to be included to source this sentence.
  • She is the winner of ninth season of popular Sri Lankan reality show Derana Dream Star should really be something like She won the ninth season of the Sir Lankan reality show Derana Dream Star. The important change is the removal of "popular" as the source does not say that this particular show is popular.
I've gone around the article to mark places for improvement or made the changes needed. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 15:09, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your help. Nirdis (talk) 18:37, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I want to know can we add youtube videos as references? Nirdis (talk) 19:32, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Depends. If it's reliable it should be okay. That means something like a news organisation YouTube video, however, textual references are generally used over video. Also I've added back the fan point of view as the win sentence isn't from a neutral point of view. Things like "immense backlash" isn't from a neutral point of view. I suggest that you leave removing the maintenance tags to other editors. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 19:59, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. I made the changes to article to be in neutral point of view. Can you please consider removing the maintenance tag? Thank you very much again. Nirdis (talk) 12:38, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please remove the maintenance tag? Thank you Nirdis (talk) 12:23, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The major fan point of view issues have been addressed, but as several statements are unsourced I've replaced it with the {{BLP more sources}} tag as biographies of living persons, because they cover a living person, need to have reliable sources supporting information in the article. For example, Her first original song is a collaboration with Pop Punk, named "Me Dase Mage Wedana" which was released in May, 2020. is unsourced so needs a source. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 14:36, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thank you very much. I'll try to find mire reliable sources. Nirdis (talk) 08:02, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Falan Andrea moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Falan Andrea, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition it appears you have a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI concern, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. An article you recently created, Falan Andrea Jansen, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Due to your COI/UPE, do not move the article back into mainspace yourself. You must go through the AfC process. If you continue your disruptive editing, it could lead to you getting blocked. Onel5969 TT me 11:54, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to move articles like this to draft space, there are articles which have like one reliable reference. I found some articles that you have contributed only have one reference. Why you don't move them to draft space? Nirdis (talk) 12:31, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This article has no UPE/COI matter. All of the sentences are in neutral point of view. If there is can you just show me where they are and you can see this is not a very little article. I spend my time on it. It's not fair that you move articles like this. Nirdis (talk) 12:55, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your move. Moving to mainspace again would be considered move warring which may lead to you being blocked. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 13:04, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What's all of your issue with this article? There are articles which have very little references. Nirdis (talk) 13:07, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That Onel5969 should be clearly reported. Nirdis (talk) 13:10, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dreamy Jazz and Onel5969 per WP:DRAFTOBJECT I think if and when Nirdis moves it back again, it will likely need to be resolved at AfD. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Nirdis is entitled to an AfD. I'd struggle to see it passing AfD since the current version is no better than the repeatedly declined and, eventually, rejected draft anyway. The sources are poor. I agree that WP:UPE is at play here as well. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 13:13, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Spiderone - from prior experience, the one exception to DRAFTOBJECT is if you are dealing with UPE. This particular editor clearly has a UPE conflict, far beyond that of a "diehard fan". UPE should always go through AfC. Onel5969 TT me 13:22, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fair, I didn't know that existed, but I think a AfC review would probably help as there have been multiple AfC declines by many editors so far. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 15:14, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I'm not paid. I'm just a diehard fan of Falan Andrea. But I believe my article is in very very neutral point of view. Nirdis (talk) 13:18, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UPE. Is it okay to use smiley faces?? 🤣🤣🤣 Nirdis (talk) 13:32, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You people choose one well written article to fight with. There are hundreds of them very poorly written and with like one reference. I think you people are not suitable as administrators. Nirdis (talk) 13:34, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please wait for an AfC reviewer to judge the article. If it's good, it'll be accepted. If there are issues with it, these will be pointed out. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 13:43, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This Onel5969 person couldn't point out one sentence that supports his COI/UPE concern, but just keeps talking about it. I think they have been paid for removing this article. Others should look into that matter. Nirdis (talk) 14:39, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dreamy Jazz please note that this has been moved back to mainspace again - now at Falan Andrea Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 19:33, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
