Umka is Looking for a Friend moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Umka is Looking for a Friend, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hello, Petrandreev13
Thank you for creating Aleks Le.
User:TheTechnician27, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
The article is well-made; however, without reliable, independent sources (MyAnimeList and Behind the Voice Actors are, to my knowledge, WP:UGC and therefore are not acceptable as reliable sources), I cannot mark the article as reviewed. Please find at least reliable, independent sources discussing this subject in substantial detail, and I can mark the article as reviewed, releasing it for catalogue by search engines. Please also see the WP:GNG, WP:BASIC, and WP:ARTIST for why this is the case. As example of a reliable, independent source would be this Polygon article were it to actually discuss Le in any substantial detail (it doesn't). Thank you.

Category
[edit]Hi, Petrandreev13! I'm Dswitz10734, and I wanted to talk to you bout your edit on the My Son Hunter page. First, thank you for your copyediting on the page improving several details I missed. About the category you added, American Propaganda Films, I don't necessarily agree about that. Usually propaganda is produced by the government to make you think a certain way. This movie is being developed by an independent producer (The Unreported Story Society) and isn't like a documentary where people are actively presenting the facts. This is meant to be a film based on a true story, but certainly some elements will be fictional, like Gina Carano's character, who is supposed to bring a comedic take to the film. If your argument is that this will have political messaging or a biased POV, then I'd agree. However, it's hard to find a movie these days that doesn't have political messaging. In that case, the category would be full with every Disney movie produced since 2013. We both know that political messaging has become too engrained in the film industry, but to put this film in a propaganda category I wouldn't agree with. I hope to hear from you soon, Dswitz10734 (talk) 15:00, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Language of sources
[edit]Hi. You asked: And the sources in the English page must be in English language?
No, they needn't be. What matters is that it is a reliable source. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 17:51, 3 January 2023 (UTC)

February 2024
[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 08:07, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hello. The reason I choose not to fill in the summary field is because it memorizes the text I write, which then uses as a suggestion in later edits. And I don't want suggestions to keep adding up and popping up when I write the text, but I don't know how to turn them off. But alright, I'll write the summaries from now on. Marina Kondratyeva
[edit]Thank you for adding precision to Marina Kondratyeva. I don't understand, however, why you change working redirects to piped links. Why not show per redirect that Leningrad was indeed a former name for Saint Petersburg (while anything could be said in a piped link)? -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:32, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
Piped links and redirects
[edit]Hi,
Regarding your your recent edit at "List of film director and actor collaborations", please note that it's not generally recommended to replace redirects with piped links. Please see WP:NOPIPE, MOS:NOPIPE, and WP:NOTBROKEN.

Best wishes, Jean-de-Nivelle (talk) 21:27, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, Jean-de-Nivelle.
- Yes, I'm aware that it's not recommended to do that. However, when I click on a redirect, for example, of Leningrad to Saint Petersburg, the article of Saint Petersburg will have the "Redirected from Leningrad" message beneath the title, and when I see it, it:
- 1) distracts me, forcing me to refresh the article to make it disappear
- 2) gives me the impression I didn't enter the name correctly, thus ending up on a possibly unrelated article.
- Long story short, redirects hurt my OCD. Petrandreev13 (talk) 09:20, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- The problem is that unnecessary pipes hurt my OCD, which puts us in conflict. If you go around changing redirects into piped links and I go around doing the reverse, we're just wasting each other's time. There are good reasons that the guidelines are as they are. Shouldn't we all follow them? Jean-de-Nivelle (talk) 10:22, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
