1970

[edit]

I note you write about AFL footy. You seem to stop at 1969. Don't you want to be educated about what happened to Collingwood in 1970? Jaker5 (talk) 00:16, 23 March 2012 (UTC). User talk:Phaplap I reject your claim. I stopped with the 1969 event because someone wrote the 1970 one before me.[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Frederick J Rose, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Image tagging for Image:Adams.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Adams.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

I moved an image of Frank 'Bluey' Adams out of this and respected your questions of originals. I am trying to research copyrights. Thank you.

Just saw your article on the bloke and it seems instead to be on someone called Pat Kelly. The infobox and reference state Reeves but the content is about Kelly. I am reluctant to move the page because I am unsure over who you want the article to be on so if you could revisit the page sometime that would be great. Thanks mate.

Your Aussie rules articles

[edit]

I've noticed that you've been writing articles by copying text directly from the Fullpointsfooty website. Even though you list the site in your reference list it is still considered plagiarism because you are taking the text word for word. In the future can you please not do this, you need to put the information that you have gathered into your own words. Cheers Crickettragic 14:29, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Don Cordner. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.fullpointsfooty.net/co-cz.htm#Don%20Cordner%20(Melbourne) in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Don Cordner with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Don Cordner with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Don Cordner saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion of Dane Ripper Quality

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Dane Ripper Quality requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. --/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 04:17, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Amounis

[edit]

Hi Phaplap.

Great to see the work you put in creating a page for Amounis. That was a little project I started in my user area nearly 4 years ago, and hadn't got back to, as I don't have as much time to spend on Wiki as I used to. Our work ties in well though, as I had collated his full race record, and had only made a small start on fleshing out his race career, so I have now added what I had previously done to his page.

If I could make a small suggestion that was made to me when I created the Poseidon page, is to break longer articles into smaller sections which promotes general readability and can help the reader identify which sections are of interest.

Your draft article, User:Phaplap/sandbox

[edit]

Hello, Phaplap. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "sandbox".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Phaplap/sandbox}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 07:41, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
