February 2008

[edit]

Your edits to Diego Maradona and Hand of God goal adding a doctored image have been reverted. They are not encyclopedic and do not add anything to the information already in those articles. If you have any questions, you can ask me in my Talk page or better yet, you can discuss the issue in the article's Talk page. -- Alexf42 22:46, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Butterfly chair, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://populuxebooks.com/blog/index.php/2007/02/12/p287. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. macedonians of argentina.

[edit]

hi pruxo, if you wish to contribute about the Macedonians in Argentina i suggest that you should create the article, or better still Macedonians in South America. That way the images that you uploaded can be added with better information. PMK1 (talk) 21:25, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Ángel Faretta

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ángel Faretta requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of Ángel Faretta

[edit]

I have nominated Ángel Faretta, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ángel Faretta. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Proposed deletion of Hospital Naval

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hospital Naval, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

So badly translated as to be totally meaningless, e.g. "the building is located in an apple atypical of the city of Buenos Aires", "hese are rooms that have windows as eye round beef" etc. Unsalvageable.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. andy (talk) 16:14, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Hi. I notice that all your edits are marked as "minor". This marking should only be used for edits such that "only superficial differences exist between the current and previous version: type corrections, formatting and presentational changes, rearranging of text without modifying content, et cetera. A minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute." See Help:Minor edit for more information.

This is probably happening because of the way your preferences are set. To check this, click "my preferences" at the top of the screen, then click the "Editing" tab, and make sure that the box for "Mark all edits minor by default" is not checked. Then, if you want to mark a particular edit as "minor", you can do it by checking the "This is a minor edit" box at the bottom of the edit screen

Tumbona

[edit]

Article now at La Tumbona House. It would be good if you could clean up the English of this and similar articles. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 15:07, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have edited es:Clorindo Testa but no one has created articles in Spanish for La Tumbona House and Casa “Capotesta”. So where did you get the text from? I believe that a translation of a copyrighted work may still be copyright violation. If the copyright position is OK, as a minimum, please upload the images to the Commons and use them in the articles. Please note that Frank is dubious about these articles so please do something in the next few days. (La Perla Spa will be added to any AfD proposal even though it does have an es: article.) — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 17:03, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:26, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of El Gen Argentino for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article El Gen Argentino is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/El Gen Argentino until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. —Justin (koavf)TCM07:37, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Efrain (nombre)

[edit]

Hello Pruxo,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Efrain (nombre) for deletion in response to your request.

If you didn't intend to make such a request and don't want the article to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Σσς. 19:45, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kidnapped (novel), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scottish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. Notice

The file File:South cone.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 25 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Strugatskys

Is there a reason you dropped "The Inhabited Island" from the list of adaptions? Also, it seems (from the article on the book) that the movie was actually two movies, released in 2008 and 2009. Brianyoumans (talk) 17:11, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Обитаемый остров (2008) is "Dark Planet (film)" the same film. "The Inhabited Island" is the name in a literal translation from russian. It is not 2 films, but part 1 and part 2 of the same film.(Pruxo (talk) 00:51, 13 February 2020 (UTC))[reply]
Ah, that explains it! Thanks! Brianyoumans (talk) 16:17, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Svappavaara, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ralph Erskine (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
