MCV Network

[edit]

Information icon Hello, RajendranMCV. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page MCV Network, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Please note that in accordance to our conflict of interest editing guidelines, I have moved your article to Draft:MCV Network, as editors with a conflict of interest should not create articles straight onto the mainspace. When you are ready to submit the page for review by our Articles for Creation reviewers, please do so by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft. Thank you. Sdrqaz (talk) 09:28, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The same goes for Spick Media Network, which is now at Draft:Spick Media Network. Sdrqaz (talk) 16:54, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

How to add notability to the page Spick Media Network. Kindly help me RajendranMCV (talk) 14:48, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is a property of the subject, not something you can "add to the page".
The usual problem for establishing notability for a journalism organization is that it is relatively rare for other news organizations to give them the sort of in-depth and independent coverage that we need to see in order for there to be an article. Mentions of the Spick Media Network or places where other outlets have picked up their polling results are not considered evidence of notability. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 16:06, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Acknowledging your message on my talk page. It would be best to keep the conversation here.
Let's take a look at just one sentence in your draft: The results of these opinion polls caused a great deal of controversy across the state. If you had a source to back that statement up, it would help your draft a great deal. As it is, the three footnotes on the next sentence either don't mention Spick Media or simply report their poll results, along with some others, without any additional comment. You need to either provide a source or remove the sentence. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 23:13, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello RajendranMCV. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:RajendranMCV. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=RajendranMCV|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message.

It is clear you have a relationship with Spick Media. If you are employed by them or otherwise have a financial interest then you need to declare your paid status. S0091 (talk) 17:15, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not paid by anyone and i do not care about this page. The only error i did is, i created an article by researching them through recent articles that were published in a news website. Good Bye 🙏 RajendranMCV

I responded to your denial on my talk page but will repeat it here:
you state in your edit summary here "I'm rajendran from Spick Media. We've done a survey with a huge team and you can get the detailed report with caste wise data in our website. We've also done many more surveys before and our last one was for Tamil Nadu & Kerala Assembly Election. Kindly go through our reports before undoing it. We are in the field for more than 7 years and predicted 10+ elections correctly.". I don't think there could be any clearer indication you have financial interest with Spick Media. Being paid does not prevent you from contributing to Wikipedia but it does change how you contribute to articles in which you have a financial interest and you required by the Terms to declare your paid status. That is non-negotiable and failing to do so will lead to you being blocked.
Please keep the discussion here so it is one place. S0091 (talk) 17:56, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging @Orangemike, who is an administrator, to review. Orangemike, please also see their response on my talk page here. I just don't think it is worth taking editors' time to post at ANI or COIN given the obviousness. RajendranMCV, all you need to do is declare and follow some simple rules. S0091 (talk) 20:14, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, User:RajendranMCV, This is Harish, secretary of Spick Media Network. Who are you to create an article for us? What is your purpose in creating this article? When did we announce that we took the survey to know the strength of AMMK Leader Mr.TTV Dhinakaran? I was the one who took the survey at R.K Nagar. I never said anything about it to you. But you are mentioning that the survey was conducted to know the strength of Dhinakaran. If you wanted to be paid, kindly contact us through our social media sites. We are ready to do it. We'll also give you the exact details, so that you can update it correctly. Without knowing anything about us, kindly avoid making such articles. MCV network is one of our team's partner channel. I heard you also created an article for it. I believe you know Tamil. "தயவு செய்து தவறான தகவல்களை பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டாம்". Plz.. HarishM Chn (talk) 21:31, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@HarishM Chn please do not pay anyone to create an article for you as generally it is wasted money. RajendranMCV is not in good standing here at the moment and the mystery is deepening if they are claiming to be from Spick Media but are not. If someone does reach out offering to create an article for money, do not take that offer as they are often scammers. It happens all the time and paid editors compete using various dubious tactics. S0091 (talk) 21:52, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know this person. Even I'm shocked to see a draft in our team's name. I was not informed earlier about this. I'll try find out a solution with Wikipedia:Teahouse. Once again thanks for your support User:S0091. HarishM Chn (talk) 21:56, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@User:HarishM_Chn I'm following your team in twitter for the past 4 years. I do not want any kind of money. Instead I'll handover this page to your team. If you request any changes, I'm ready to do it. I'm sorry about the MCV draft. Thought of creating a page for that with the help of informations available in the website of MCV NETWORK. As a follower and a welwisher to your team, i was interested in creating a wiki page for Spick Media. I'm ready to agree that I was paid if Mr. @User:S0091 is ready to finish the problem. I do not want to create any issue here. Sorry for the harsh words that I used 🙏. RajendranMCV (talk) 02:04, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about the management of the page. We haven't discussed. Do not use unparliamentary words when you request something to anyone. It will hurt them a lot. I believe S0091 has nothing to do with this now. I myself will handle the draft & wanted to change my account as paid one or something like it suits. Please do not do anything with the draft RajendranMCV. I'll handle it after discussing with our team tomorrow. Thanks for your interest in creating a wiki page for us. Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or

    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. PhilKnight (talk) 19:01, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again.
