Edit summaries[edit]

Hi, Senator. I hope you don't mind a friendly request from a colleague that you give edit summaries with your edits. It helps you fellow editors tremendously in tracking changes and rationales for them. Thanks. With regards, -- Tenebrae (talk) 15:14, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Mark Waid[edit]

Hi, Steve. Welcome to Wikipedia. One suggestion: Please make sure you either use the Preview function, or check your edits to make sure that they came out correct. If your edits accidentally malform a table or other formatting, as they did with these edits of yours to Mark Waid did with this table, be sure to either revert it, or ask someone else for help. If you have any other questions about editing, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks, and Happy Holidays. :-) Nightscream (talk) 09:04, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Lincoln Memorial/Legacy section[edit]

We are currently attempting to bring the Lincoln article to FA status and are trying to establish consensus regarding images. Your consensus and opinion is needed on the Abraham Lincoln talk page. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 01:34, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

'Steve, thanks for your imput, however we need to gather consensus on images in the Lincoln Memorial stamp section. We are collecting opinions (for or against) a Lincoln image being restored, or returned, to the page. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 06:50, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

WikiProject Israel[edit]

Hi SenatorSteve! I noticed that you re-added yourself as an active contributor to WikiProject Israel. I appreciate your interest and hope that you contribute to the project! Please note however that the list of participants refers only to active participants, and editors who do not actively contribute to the project are moved to the inactive contributors list. This is not meant to offend or understate the efforts of these editors, but to give us a more realistic idea of how many contributors we have at a given moment and who they are. Again, I appreciate your interest and look forward to your contributions to the project. Cheers, Ynhockey (Talk) 19:20, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to MISH![edit]

Thank you for joining the Michigan State Highways Project (WP:MISH/WP:MSHP). We're a small, but mighty, subproject of WP:USRD, the U.S. Roads WikiProject. MISH is in the process of continuing to improve the articles that cover the state and county-designated highways of the Great Lakes State. We use our parent project for basic project standards, assessment and media support. Editors at WP:USRD/MTF, the Maps Task Force, and WP:USRD/STF, the Shields Task Force, create and update maps or highway markers ("shields") for our articles. WP:USRD/ACR is the project A-Class Review process for reviewing and upgrading articles to A-Class status, which is usually one of the last stops before WP:FAC, the Featured Article Candidates.

If you look at WP:USRD/A/S (or the "live" version at WP:USRD/A/L), you'll see all of the various states, territories or subtypes of roads listed in a table with statistics on the article assessments. The last two columns are the two "WikiWork" numbers. The ω figure is the cumulative WikiWork, which is a measure of how many total classes of improvement are needed to reach the theoretical goal of having every article Featured. The Ω is the relative WikiWork, on a scale of 0 (good) to 6 (bad). Michigan is currently leading all other states with a Ω around 2.5 on a 6-point scale. Every one of our articles has been improved to at least a C-Class on the scale, and over half of the project's articles are Good Articles, A-Class or Featured Articles now. (In fact, Brockway Mountain Drive was just promoted as an FA this morning, the third in 2011 alone.)

The next article to be nominated will probably be M-185 (Michigan highway) after we revise it to the current FA standards. We will probably discuss avenues of improvement (yes, pun intended) on Talk:M-185 (Michigan highway) if you're interested in joining in. The goal will be to make an engaging article about a truly unique "highway", and then nominate it for promotion later this summer. Imzadi 1979  15:39, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Your opinion would be appreciated[edit]

As a member of WikiProject Countries, I'm seeking your opinion on a possible issue identified at List of sovereign states. If you have some spare moments, please contribute a comment at the Discussion of criteria. Best regards, Nightw 06:47, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your response! Could you answer either "yes" or "no" in the survey section? This is for the reference of participants to identify whether or not there is a problem with the arrangement of Kosovo in the list. Thanks, Nightw 16:50, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProject US Presidents[edit]

Greetings, It was recently suggested that WikiProject US Presidents might be inactive or semiactive and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. I have started a discussion on the projects talk page soliciting the opinions of the members of the project if this project would be interested in being supported by WikiProject United States. Please feel free to comment on your opinions about this suggestion. --Kumioko (talk) 13:22, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft[edit]

Thanks for signing up for this project. It is a very busy and active project with lots going on and we can always use more help and especially a fresh set of eyes. If you haven't done so already you might want to add Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft to your watch list as this is where much of the background discussion occurs. You may also want to watch Wikipedia:New articles (Aircraft) as this is where newly created articles get listed for peer review. Having a look over these new articles is a great way to get a feel for how things are done on the project and also most new articles need reviewing anyway. If you have any questions you can leave me a note or post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft, either way you will get a quick response. - Ahunt (talk) 15:09, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
