Dowlyn Daly unreliable references
[edit]Hi Shirt 58. I noticed you recently added tags to the Dowlyn Daly article suggesting more references were needed and that the existing references were unreliable. I just wanted an explanation for this, as the four references (admittedly few, but to be fair this is a stub about a British Virgin Islands footballer - not a lot of information about him on the web) all come from websites dedicated to football. Soccerway is well-respected for player and game information, and the official British Virgin Islands Football Association website is hardly an unreliable source. Footballzz is less reliable than the others, but even so, I still think it's good enough.
I think even if you were really critical only one of the references could be considered unreliable and as for the "More references needed" tag, I'd agree more but given the short nature of the article, there's not much information in the article that isn't referenced.
I look forward to your response.
Thanks,

Adding peacock tag
[edit]Hi Shirt58,
I noticed that you added a peacock tag to the page that I just wrote. In the spirit of helping me improve the article, can you please specify where you see " wording that merely promotes the subject without imparting verifiable information." As far as I can tell, all information is properly cited using verifiable sources. The article or better stub I used as a role model was this one here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anita_Elberse

talk page deletion
[edit]It looks as if I deleted the talk page but omitted deleting the obviously spammy article page. Is that what you were drawing my attention to? I'll hold off the article until I'm sure what I'm doing Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:22, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
