It shows the nations hit by the 2010 Sahel African famin. Oringe tinted nations were in emediate risk of or had a famin acording to the UN/ICRC/ and/or aid oganisations like CAFOD. Yellow tinted nations had heavy sandstorm, food shortages or a drought, but did not go as far as to have a actual famin it's self.

The Banbury Cake and The The Banbury & District Review newspapers did an exposé on the weather induced potholes during the second week of January 2010. This one is on Bretch hill, near Dover avinue. They were filled in by May 2010, due to media pressure.

A picture of a British Rail Class 143 GMPTE Pacer (train) at Cardiff Central station in the year 2000. It was either sold or loaned to Valley Lines by GMPTE. Aparently, Valley Lines was the place were GMPTE farmed out their British Rail Class 142 units. Valley Lines were short of rollingstock between 2000 and 2001 and GMPTE brought in some new EMUs.

Belarus had a 20% overnight devaluation of the national currency on 2 January 2009 [1].
