Information icon It may not have been your intention, but one of your edits, specifically one that you made on Kashmir Valley, may have been a change that some consider controversial. Due to this, your edits may have been reverted. When making possibly controversial changes, it is good practice to first discuss your edit on the article's talk page before making it, to gain consensus over whether or not to include the text, phrasing, etc. If you believe that the information you added was correct, please initiate that discussion. Thank you. Fun Is Optional (talk) 21:11, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to South Asia does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Throast {{ping}} me! (talk | contribs) 20:33, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Sophielll, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Kashmir Valley does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Kautilya3 (talk) 21:29, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Languages of Pakistan, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Uanfala (talk) 14:06, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please note that edits like this one to Skardu are unhelpful, because repeated links to the same topic within the same article or section should be avoided, as should links to commonly known countries, like Pakistan or India: see MOS:OL. Uanfala (talk) 14:19, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. Thank your taking on board the previous suggestions. You may be interested in having a look at MOS:INFOBOXFLAG: flags are generally avoided in most infoboxes, particularly in articles about companies or natural geographic features. Uanfala (talk) 08:31, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ARBIPA sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi. Please note that the use of Indic scripts in India articles is against consensus on Wikipedia. Please do stop adding them. Thanks. --RegentsPark (comment) 18:07, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Which scripts you are talking about? I didn’t understand you.

Hi dear, Good Evening, I am sorry for the 3 or 4 page mistakes by me, I will make sure it doesn't happen again, I request you to unblock me and let me improve Wikipedia . Thanks 🙏 Sophielll (talk) 22:48, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Overlinking

[edit]

Hi Sophielll - I have reverted a few of your edits, for overlinking - so I have come to explain the reason.
As explained at ‎ WP:OVERLINKING we only link the first use of a term in an article, and we do not normally link:-

  • Everyday words understood by most readers. e.g. town, city, country
  • Names familiar to most readers, including;- major countries, major cities, major languages, major nationalities/ethnicities and major religions
  • Common units of measurement and dates

There are many articles where these are already, incorrectly, linked but we are trying to reduce the overlinking, not increase it. Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 10:51, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Meera (actress)
added a link pointing to Punjabi
Saba Qamar
added a link pointing to Director

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:05, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

There is 100% true information that I have added about Pakistani Places or People, I’ve knowledge because I’m a traveler and history Student and clarify mistakes but Wikipedia undo my edits without confirming my edits are currect, I’m so dishearten because I was helping to improve Wikipedia but I think no one cares about my efforts for helping to improve Wikipedia

Decline reason:

I concur with the below comments. Yamla (talk) 15:48, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm sorry, but adding completely unrelated images like this series of edits or replacing an image of a location with one that's no where near like this one is not what I'd call "100% true information". Each time you've responded to either a warning or a block, it's always been "Hello dear, Good Evening! I’m sorry for breaking rule but this happened accidentally on 3 or 4 pages, I request for unblock me and I make sure this is not gonna happen again, I will be very careful about it next time." If it's not outright vandalism or trolling, you certainly are not here to constructively contribute. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 14:09, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed to Bhoonadnan, an account that also was warned and blocked for various inappropriate editing. --Yamla (talk) 15:52, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
