How is my explaining my actions on an Admin's talk page vandalism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.138.20.171 (talk) 21:56, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

Why did you delete this question at the ref desks?

[1]? I have returned the question and answered it. The question looked to be a good-faith question, and I see nothing that indicates why it should be removed. Can you explain your actions? --Jayron32 03:57, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

A cup of coffee for you!

Thanks for doing vandalism review, and thank you also for quickly catching mistakes you make and fixing them as you did for user:yawnbox. He is a new user and it is good that you took away your warning while he fixed the problem. Blue Rasberry (talk) 05:19, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Eurosonic Festival, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.40.97.238 (talk) 21:50, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Ezra Levant and 3RR rule

You wrote: If you wish to avoid being blocked, instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You may still be blocked for edit warring even if you do not exceed the technical limit of the three-revert rule if your behavior indicates that you intend to continue to revert repeatedly. Techman224Talk 04:15, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

My response: I was reverting material initial added by an anonymous user (and later by a newly registered user) that violated Wikipedia's rules on original research, POV language, and non-RS sources. Since this article is a BLP, material that potentially violates these rules must be removed immediately.(Hyperionsteel (talk) 04:19, 7 January 2012 (UTC))

I have placed a request for request page protection (semi-protection). Thank you for your suggestion.(Hyperionsteel (talk) 04:35, 7 January 2012 (UTC))

Thank you

Thanks for your message of Reciprocal cipher. Your suggestion is better. I will try to learn more about how-to as well as the wiki community. Should I reply here or just on my own talk page? SunnyBingoMe (talk) 13:58, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

New version of huggle

Hello Techman224
You received this message because there is a new version of huggle ready for use. Please download http://code.google.com/p/huggle/downloads/detail?name=huggle%202.1.19alpha.exe and do any tests you want on any wiki you can use it on. Please bear in mind it's a testing version and it may contain bugs, so be very carefull. Should you find any issue, please report it immediately to our feedback or tracker. Thank you. I am definitely not a bot, so please send me a message in case you didn't know what is this about, or needed to know anything more. In case there will be no bug reports, stable version will be released in 4 days. In case you don't want to receive this information, please remove yourself as a beta tester of huggle. Invitation to events in June and July: bot, script, template, and Gadget makers wanted

I invite you to the yearly Berlin hackathon, 1-3 June in Berlin, Germany. Registration is now open. If you need financial assistance or help with visa or hotel, then please register by May 1st and mention it in the registration form.

This is the premier event for the MediaWiki and Wikimedia technical community. We'll be hacking, designing, teaching, and socialising, primarily talking about ResourceLoader and Gadgets (extending functionality with JavaScript), the upcoming launch of Lua for templates, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Labs.

We want to bring 100-150 people together, including lots of people who have not attended such events before. User scripts, gadgets, API use, Toolserver, Wikimedia Labs, mobile, structured data, templates -- if you are into any of these things, we want you to come!

I also thought you might want to know about other upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.

Check out the the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC and our other events.

Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page at mediawiki.org. Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation Volunteer Development Coordinator 01:04, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

did you vote?

hi there, your vote in ArbCom elections triggered a spoof CSRF alarm. Would you be so kind as to please confirm that you actually voted? :) Apologies for the inconvenience. Pundit|utter 07:40, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

Yes I did vote. Is there a problem? Techman224Talk 17:59, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

Aaron Swartz Wikipedia page

Aaron's cause of death was apparent and alleged and only a few publications are citing this fact. The police report states: alleged and the Daily News states apparent. Let's face it NO SUICIDE NOTE from on of our world's leading communicators who would have certainly left us a NOTE! Let's stick with the facts: alleged and apparent. Keep Wikipedia the way he would have wanted it, as you know he worked for and on Wikipedia. --Medicalscholar (talk) 05:26, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

Cause of Death: Alleged Suicide, by hanging not Suicide by hanging. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Medicalscholar (talkcontribs) 05:20, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

Look at [2]. The family confirmed it was hanging, and it is from a reputable news source. At at [3], it says the girlfriend found him hanging from a belt. Techman224Talk 06:06, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
