Word count for drive

Hey there! It's totally fine if you don't feel like counting words, but I just wanted to make sure you knew it was possible to do with one click via the Prosesize script linked on the drive page — Remsense 14:33, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't know that was a thing. Thanks! Wolf (talk|contribs) 14:48, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
I had an inkling, so I'm glad I decided to let you know! Cheers! Remsense 14:52, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

GOCE edits

Hi there, and welcome to Wikipedia. I saw on my watchlist that someone took the {{GOCEreviewed}} off Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people with disabilities, noting correctly that {{GOCEreviewed}} only belongs on the talk page of an article. I believe the article still needs to be copy edited, so I reinstated the maintenance template as well. See the changes I made for an example of what a partial copy edit might look like. Some of the changes were due to personal opinion on creating better prose, but others were based on the Wikipedia Manual of Style – something that you learn with time! Thanks, and I hope this note was helpful. Wracking talk! 20:40, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

Sorry, didn't realize it could still be copyedited. I also forgot about the talk page thing. I put the template there because all I could find was a word or two to change. Didn't realize there was more. ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 03:10, 6 November 2023 (UTC)

CHUS

I've removed the extended discussion from WP:CHUS, Special:Permalink/1184149930. The ongoing discussion has been preventing the bot from processing the declined request as it should. Secondly, you revised your comments after JBW and I had responded to them which makes our comments look as if we're telling you something you had already said. It's not a good habit. See WP:TALK#REPLIED. Lastly (and trivially), JBW and I responded there because we're renamers, not because we're admins. Cabayi (talk) 08:55, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

Ok, yeah, I probably should have read that first. Oh well. I guess sometimes we need to learn from our mistakes. Sorry about that. ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 13:33, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
Anyone who has done any significant amount of work for Wikipedia has almost certainly made far bigger mistakes than that sometimes, so I wouldn't worry about it. The problem is not editors who make mistakes, 😬 which we all do, but editors who can't bear to accept that they've made mistakes. 🤨 JBW (talk) 15:54, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
Alright, well I'm glad you understand. Also one thing I didn't mention in the post above, about the admin thing, I may have gotten confused about the user groups page. So, basically, I had gone to both of your user pages. From there I went to tools, and then to view user groups. There, I saw it said you were administrators. I probably misinterpreted this and thought you were just administrators and that they can rename too. ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 16:33, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

A belated welcome!

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, ThatOneWolf! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Thanks for the welcome, late as it may be! ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 15:00, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
Was kinda surprised you haven't been welcomed yet, you seem to have found your way around quite well :D Feel free to ping me if you need any extra help though, think you might really enjoy recent changes patrolling Justiyaya 15:00, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
I kinda know what to do around here, I've edited a lot on the Minecraft wiki (link in my userpage). ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 15:03, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
yup saw that :D which is why I recommended it, the Minecraft wiki editing definitely helps Justiyaya 16:19, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

"{{Portal|Food|Italy}}"

Would you help me make all the Italian foods on the List of Italian dishes page this way? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/1186209428. Please do it exactly as I did. Copy "{{Portal|Food|Italy}}" and paste it at the beginning of the "See also" paragraph, precisely where I put it. Thank you very much if you do, really; I'll have to pay you back somehow if you do. Make sure that the page is really about an Italian-only food and not also French, etc. JackkBrown (talk) 17:02, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

I'll help you with this. ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 17:05, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
How will we tell which ones have already been done without looking at 5,000 pages though? ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 17:07, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

Well!

Remember to create the paragraph "See also" if it is not present. I am checking all your changes and correcting half of them, but you are doing great, congratulations! JackkBrown (talk) 17:45, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

Ok, I'll remember that. ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 17:47, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
I need to eat now. I've done most of the pages, if you want to continue my work. ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 18:43, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
Is there any food left? JackkBrown (talk) 13:39, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
I don't know, we've done a lot. I'll look into the List of Italian dishes page and see if there are any left. --ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 13:52, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
We've done most of them. I'm just finishing up the pages and then we should be done. --ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 13:57, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
I think that's all the pages done that need to be done. There may be one or two missing, but if you notice them, it's gotten to the point where you can do them. :) --ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 14:26, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
Why did you put "{{Portal|Food|Agriculture|Italy}}" on the pane di Laterza page? Why "Agriculture"? JackkBrown (talk) 14:52, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
Agriculture was already there before I edited. --ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 15:05, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
I've removed it though. --ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 15:06, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Deleting/delete—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 05:34, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

But... isn't that a testing page? Yes, I was going to revert it and test it later, but it is a testing page for rollback and rollback-like scripts (like twinkle). If my user group is what you were concerned about, I am autoconfirmed. ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 05:37, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
It's fine though, I can do the tests in my sandbox. ThatOneWolf (talk|contribs) 06:06, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

Doubt

Do you think it makes sense to add the template to the peperone di Senise page? It is a variety of bell pepper. JackkBrown (talk) 00:07, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

Probably not. I've removed it. -- ThatOneWolf (ChatEdits 01:06, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
@ThatOneWolf: thanks. JackkBrown (talk) 01:35, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

Your Help desk answers – please hold off for now

While your willingness to help is appreciated, as someone who has been here less than a month, you do not yet have the experience and knowledge to respond to Help desk questions. In particular, some of the advice you have been giving is incorrect, such as this response about WP:Help desk#Adding references to published works written by self. Besides that response, you have 25 other responses at the Help desk. Again, thanks for your willingness to help, but three weeks seniority is nowhere near the experience level you need to answer questions there. Please concentrate on learning about Wikipedias policies and guidelines first, before you respond to user questions again. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 10:22, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

I mean it's a bit bold to assume that they are not an experienced editor of Wikipedia but then again he maid a couple of mistakes. Sangsangaplaz (talk) 13:40, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
I think if you are sure of your answer you should try to help people in the help desk. Just my opinion though. Sangsangaplaz (talk) 13:41, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
I'll read them, but please do note that sometimes we make mistakes. If I am certain I know the answer, then I will respond. I will give you a note that I do see most new questions, because the help desk is on my watchlist. I don't respond to all of them, even if they haven't been responded to. I leave the complicated ones to others and answer the ones I know. Also note that mistakes are allowed, and sometimes we make them. I'll make sure to read the policies and guidelines, but I will still answer simple questions on the help desk, for example, if someone is asking for help with a policy I've already read, I will answer it. If I find a question and I know I'm experienced in that area, I will help. If it's too complicated for me, I will leave it for someone else. I hope this makes sense. Thanks. -- ThatOneWolf (ChatEdits 15:01, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi, would you like to italicise all the words "maslaha" within the maslaha page? I have already given for today. If you want to take on this responsibility, be very thorough; in any case, I will check your work tomorrow or, if you don't want to do it, I will do it myself. JackkBrown (talk) 17:10, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi there. I'm extremely sorry, but I'm not going to be able to do this, at least not today. I'm really just checking my account right now, instead of editing, because I'm actually not feeling great. Hope you understand! Thanks! -- ThatOneWolf (ChatEdits 19:37, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
Gosh, I hope you recover and that it's nothing serious. I wish you good luck! JackkBrown (talk) 19:40, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
However, I corrected the page, don't worry. JackkBrown (talk) 19:57, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
Thanks JackkBrown, it means a lot. It was luckily just a bad cold and I'm doing a lot better now. Thanks again! -- ThatOneWolf (ChatEdits 21:31, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

Thanks in advance

If you want, you can help me edit all the Italian food templates by putting 'Italy' first and then 'Food'. The orders are: "Italy, Food", "Italy, Drink, Coffee", and so on. The template is "

; I did most of the pages (if you're wondering, yes, we got the order wrong last time). JackkBrown (talk) 19:13, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

Oh, gosh. I'm terribly sorry. I never got online. That's 2 things I haven't done for you now, and I'm quite busy. You don't have to do the rest of the pages, I'll get to them sometime tomorrow. Sorry again! :/ -- ThatOneWolf (ChatEdits 01:34, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
No problem, I did everything, don't worry. It's crazy that I managed to make all the Italian food (I'll check again today)! JackkBrown (talk) 02:07, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
Ok then, sorry. If you need anything else I'll hopefully get it for you. -- ThatOneWolf (ChatEdits 14:02, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
If you want, you can do one thing (very simple): write me on my discussion page the titles of all the Italian food (and drink) pages without the "Portal Italy". JackkBrown (talk) 14:25, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
Well, there aren't many pages, that's for sure. I'll make sure to have a more in-depth look later today. -- ThatOneWolf (ChatEdits 15:03, 5 December 2023 (UTC)

Two things

Given your great willingness to help me in my lengthy work (and I am grateful to you for this), there are two jobs, which I have not yet finished, that I would like to finish: 1): write in italics the terms for food, drinks, coffee, wine, etc., which should be written in italics (I recommend you start with the Sicilian cuisine page); 2) write in italics all the terms "pecorino romano", "pecorino sardo", etc. (not "pecorino", only the variants, e.g. "pecorino romano", "pecorino sardo", etc); consult this search: [1]. First of all, check whether a particular food, drink, coffee, wine, etc. (e.g. "ravioli") is written in italics on the List of Italian dishes page; if so, write it in italics using the template on this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Lang-it (very important: copy this template!).
