Fortress Nehaj

[edit]

Hello The Nerd from Earth. I've moved the article for you. I'm not quite sure why your move was reverted, it may be because you are a new contributor to the site, and they rarely makes constructive moves. But this looks fine. You should report it here if you're so inclined. Your welcome message follows. -- zzuuzz (talk) 12:42, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

From Wikipedia:Babel, "xx-5 for professional proficiency. Note that this template is currently only available for a few languages." Sorry. In this case, I recommend "xx (no hyphen or number) for native speakers who use a language every day and have a thorough grasp of it, including colloquialisms and idioms." Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello The Nerd from Earth! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Marco Kreuzpaintner - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 23:00, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Andrew Wolff requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. B.Wind (talk) 03:08, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves

[edit]

Hi. I have reverted your move of Trakošćan Castle to Trakošćan Castle. Per Wikipedia naming policies (such as WP:COMMONNAME) article titles have to reflect what English-language sources call the subject of the article. A simple Google search will show that "Trakošćan Castle" is far more popular than "Castle Trakošćan", which is logical as the former is the logical English-language ordering, and b) that's what the castle's official website calls it in English. You have also recently moved Dubrovnik Summer Festival to Dubrovačke ljetne igre, again, claiming that the latter was the "correct name". Please familiarize yourself with relevant polices on article titles before such moves in the future, or at least start a discussion in article talk pages before moving articles.

Also, regarding this edit, please keep in mind that wikilinking years and using diacritics in the DEFAULTSORT parameter is generally avoided. Timbouctou (talk) 12:09, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently you did the same thing to Nehaj Fortress. Just because it's "Tvrđava Nehaj" in Croatian, that doesn't mean that the English name needs to be a literal translation preserving the same word order. In fact, the official English web site of the fortress itself that is linked from the article uses the more typical English word order. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 10:02, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Judas Kiss (upcoming film) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. The article List of Turkish pop musicians has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

List with only one artist in it. Essentially an unnecessary list.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unnecessary edits

[edit]

I fail to see the point of this edit at Tenor and this edit at Baritone, especially because you didn't provide any edit summary. As far as I can work out, you inserted some blank lines below section titles and some blanks between list signifiers (*) and their list entries. This is unnecessary and not supported by any style guideline. The diff listings for Baritone especially were so confusing that it was impossible to determine whether your edit was trivial or not, so I partly reverted them both. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:37, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Hydrometeorological Institute of Montenegro, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Maritime (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:49, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jews are persecuted everywhere place in the world. There is now a strong invasion of African countries into Israel in order to destroy the country. In addition, everywhere place the Internet is full of false African propaganda that wants to say that the origins of the Jews are in Africa, that a a very big lie and this is another way to eliminate the jews. because of this I'm angry.
i am sorry if you offended. פארוק (talk) 14:02, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Over-linking

[edit]

Hi. Regarding this edit of yours: please note that the linking of date fragments is something that was overwhelmingly rejected by the editing community years ago. Your edit also links common words—something which does nothing to help deepen the understanding of the topic and only serves to dilute the more valuable links. For more information regarding accepted linking practices, please read Wikipedia:MOSLINK#What_generally_should_not_be_linked and Wikipedia:MOSLINK#Chronological_items. Cheers. Thank you for your recent contributions, such as Russia-hospital-stub. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 00:20, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Thebestofall007 (talk) 00:35, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
