Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:04, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "VALID REALITY", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it's promotional and implies shared use.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Mlpearc (powwow) 16:13, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rebecca Hall

[edit]

The convention on Wikipedia Talk pages is to add new comments to the bottom, not the top, of the page. Your recent comments on Talk:Rebecca Hall have been moved down to the bottom of the page and discussed there: there is no point in continuing to repeat what you have already said at the top. My Talk Page and Rebecca Hall

[edit]

I do so have a talk page, User talk:Robert McClenon. Maybe someone at the Help Desk can give you advice on how to post to another user's talk page.

Your comments about Rebecca Hall contradict sourced information. Wikipedia editors should not remove sourced information based on unsourced statements that it is not true. Are you saying that Rebecca Hall is not the daughter of Maria Ewing, or that Maria Ewing was not born in the United States with a mixture of European, African-American, and Native American ancestry? If you have sourced information that states that Rebecca Hall is not the daughter of Maria Ewing, or that Maria Ewing does not have the ancestry that is attributed to her, please provide it. Wikipedia welcomes new information, but only if it is based on reliable sources. Robert McClenon (talk) 19:33, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hall and Ewing both must present irrefutable evidence that they are of American ancestry and the other ancestries they attest to possess. Since they have been incapable of presenting such evidence, likely because such evidence does not exist, they are the caucasians they so obviously are on the outset. Don't sell your entertainment media and your actresses to me over Wikipedia Talk pages. This is not the purpose for Wikipedia and Wikipedia Talk Pages. Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia, as the Wikipedia title states. When you don't have the facts, don't cry and rant about it. Rather, present those facts as Wikipedia asks you to do. --VALID REALITY (talk) 21:25, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is Wikipedia, and is edited by Wikipedians. Its content is based on reliably sourced information. If you have reason to believe that Maria Ewing was not born in the United States or that Rebecca Hall is not her daughter, please present it. You have the right to ask them to present that information, but we will only delete what we have if a consensus can be established that Maria Ewing is not American or that Rebecca Hall is not her daughter. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia by making unsubstantiated claims that deny reliably sourced information. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:53, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Are you claiming that Current Biography Yearbook and Who's Who have been given false information? That is a strong allegation. What is your basis? Robert McClenon (talk) 21:55, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Maria Ewing is a caucasian citizen of The United States, on the assumption that she holds a legal United States citizenship, but that's it. Ewing is nothing American, period, and has no proof to enforce such a claim. Nor, it appears, is she anything African or any of her other said claims. No one has disputed that Hall is the daughter. No one but you and your entertainment media rants are disrupting any Wikipedia activity. Stop trying to sell your actress, mother and movies to me. I'm clearly not interested and I've moved on from your Hall related media entertainment rants as you should, too. Wikipedia is for facts, not for selling fallacies from media information sources. It's time for you to move on from this delirious silliness. --VALID REALITY (talk) 00:13, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
See the Wikipedia policy to assume good faith. You have not shown any evidence that anyone has an ulterior agenda or a conflict of interest, but refer to insisting on reliable resources as "delirious silliness". That claim amounts to a personal attack on editors who are trying to follow Wikipedia policy. It is time for you to provide documentation or move on. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:34, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Your trolling is all the evidence anyone needs of an ulterior motive on your behalf. You cannot provide any such evidence to sell your actress and your movies. I have made no such attacks on Wikipedia editors as all Wikipedia editors can plainly decipher, nor have I had any complaints from any Wikipedia editors as they have all been most congenial and helpful to me and we have stated as such to each other on numerous accounts, including Mlpearc and Hajatvrc. You are making things up and I have already reported you for your harassment here on Wikipedia. You need to provide the facts and evidence of this actress and the mother or move on and you have done neither, so it's best you move on completely and forget about all this. This subject thread is over. --VALID REALITY (talk) 18:48, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Video server has been reverted.
Your edit here to Video server was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=cl6i9gc7zLA) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 22:43, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, XLinkBot. I've tried to fix everything and it seems to work now and be in the proper format. If I could have someone proofread my references and links that would be great. Thanks again, XLinkBot!! 8) --VALID REALITY (talk) 23:07, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Wtmitchell. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to Laser, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 00:20, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Signing

[edit]

Signing is only done on talk pages, not in articles, such as was done in this edit.[1] Also I would encourage picking a new username. Normal capitalization would help, but more important is picking something that does not look as though it is a company name. See WP:CHU/S. If you need help please let me know. Apteva (talk) 01:20, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
