AfD nomination of Crash Diet (Guns N' Roses song)

[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Crash Diet (Guns N' Roses song), has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Crash Diet (Guns N' Roses song). Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Corvus cornixtalk 01:55, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There was no need to move this to Goodnight Tonight (Wings song) to disambiguate it; there is already a hatnote in the article to point to the unreleased GnR version. Since the Wings version was a chart hit and the GnR unreleased, WP:DAB says we reserve the undabbed title for the better-known version. Accordingly, I've reverted your moved. Cheers. --Rodhullandemu 13:22, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Grand Theft Auto template

[edit]

This is your opinion. Have you taken others opinion?. The template looks ugly. It is taking unnecessary space and it is long. --SkyWalker (talk) 13:49, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SR2 images

[edit]

In keeping the amount of non-free images as small as possible, I would only use one or two (replacing the non-free images already in the article), ideally showing new features but keeping to the roots of being a gang-related urban warfare game. I'm not sure if the map of the city helps unless you can find development information about the game (see what I was able to locate for Crackdown to justify the map. Basically, only the box art and one or two game screenshots should be used (the free pics of the actors are ok). --MASEM 00:25, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Bring It Back Home

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Bring It Back Home, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable song: never released, "not much is known" about it. Fails WP:NSONGS.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. JohnCD (talk) 21:03, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

...also similar PRODs on Goodnight Tonight (Guns N' Roses song), Liqour and Whores, Night Crawler, Sentimental Movie, Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll and Sorry I Ruined the Show. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 23:21, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreleased Guns n Roses songs

[edit]

Why don't you create an article about all of these allegedly unreleased songs by guns n roses? Individual articles on unreleased songs is not article worthy.Esasus (talk) 20:00, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

SR gameplay

[edit]

Well, both games have gameplay sections that are too long and detailed for an encyclopedia; we don't need a list of weapon types, activities, and so forth. Now, as for combined details, that can be done on the Saints Row (series) page, a separate is definitely not warranted. --MASEM (t) 05:21, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Review

[edit]

I opted to simply give it C-class for now: as it stands the only reason I didn't give it B was the section under development, the citation-needed tags and that large requirements box which I figured were all at this point works in progress. Not much need for a review between C and B when that's pretty clear.

If you want a full review, I suggest hitting up Wikipedia's Peer Review system. The Video Game project's assessment page ends up too busy to give everything a thorough review when it's primarily for assessing the current quality of articles. Hope that helps.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 21:18, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Good Job

[edit]

I split it up into multiple sections because it will aid any user that comes across the page. By dividing up the "development" section, the reader can more easily readily absorb the information. I am simply attempting to follow the templates sent by articles that have received gold stars. Use your judgment on this one; what is easier: A 5+ paragraph section on everything or a three or four broken down sub sections?

A note regarding the WPVG Newsletter

[edit]

Due to an apparent lack of interest, the WPVG Newsletter will be switching from a monthly publication schedule to a quarterly one. The next issue be delivered on July 1, 2009, and will pertain to the second quarter of the calendar year. If you have any comments regarding this, or suggestions to improve the newsletter, please post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games/Newsletter.

Saints Row 2 Gangs

[edit]

I notice that you started the idea of categorizing the SR2 Gangs according to race/ethnicity. I have left some suggestions in the discussions of the article "List of gangs in the Saints Row series" --Platinum inc (talk) 20:24, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cropping of Plot in Saints Row 2

[edit]

Indeed, I'm glad you were able to get things more concise. I realised at the time that there was probably way too much detail, however my main goal was to balance the level of detail, since the Brotherhood was extremely overdetailed and other major parts were extremely underdetailed. Of course, that made everything overdetailed, and I ended up having to subsection it to make it readable again. Had I more time and boldness, I would have pruned it myself; as is, I left the pruning to the judgement of other Wikipedia editors. Sorry about that, and thanks. — Wisq (talk) 20:58, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

SR2 images

[edit]

Here's my assessment of what should be keep:

  • Cover, duh.
  • The picture of BASE jumping (in particular over the picture being used to show aircraft). This, as better looking, shows the streaming concept as well as the profile of the city very well, so does multiple things. This and the aircraft one are rather duplicate of each other and preferably I like the BASE jumping one better.
  • The picture of boat to boat gunfight. That's easy to show the type of urban violence the game uses. Again, this and the prison escape shot are duplicative, and the boat one seems more interesting to me.
  • The image of the special edition of the game
  • The zone map you found for the game.

The image of the boat and lighthouse do little so definitely should be removed. --MASEM (t) 13:12, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ignorance

[edit]

Are you intentionally vandalizing the Saints Row-related pages, or are you just some sort of moron and can't help it? The developers themselves have stated that SR3 is in development despite the fact that there are some that the pages have citations that disprove what you say. I don't care if this stuff is too far above your level of comprehension - I'm going to keep changing it back to what's actually RIGHT. Keep adding false information if you want; I'll just report your ignorant ass for vandalism.

Have a nice day. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.250.75.71 (talk) 18:29, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Saints Row 2 soundtrack has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lists of in-game soundtracks with no external claims of notability is classic video game trivia. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. czar  06:51, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
