Proposed deletion of Aelius Saturninus

[edit]

The article Aelius Saturninus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable Roman poet.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Until you are familiar wikicode, table markup and Lua modules, please don't make any changes to any articles with this type of content. Your edit essentially blanked the list from the page. Clearly you did not check your edit before saving (see notice below). In your edit summary you wrote; ": Attempting to fix this garble idk". That "garble" was part of functioning table and was not in need of any "fixing". It was also not visible until you opened the edit window, but it appears you did not make any edits, (as in; adding or changing content to improve the article). In the future, if you're not sure, please leave it alone. If you think there is a problem with an article, or have any questions, please contact the Help Desk. Thank you - wolf 14:23, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Page Preview

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "publish changes" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. - wolf 14:23, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your help desk question

[edit]

You didn't get a response to this question. I'm not sure what you are asking, but did you find the answer somewhere else?— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:35, 22 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No, I was asking whether an uploaded file's contents could be expressly used for said article (like using the pdf file of a certain law to outright describe said law) without violating copyright.
As long as a PDF has a licence compatible with Wikipedia then its contents can be used in Wikipedia articles. This one is in the public domain so yes you can use the text and it won't be a copyright violation. I wouldn't recommend it though because Wikipedia articles aren't intended to contain lots of text from primary sources. That's what Wikisource is for. Hut 8.5 16:29, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2S14 Zhalo-S moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, 2S14 Zhalo-S, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 06:35, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:2S14 Zhalo-S

[edit]

Hello, Varxo. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "2S14 Zhalo-S".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 04:20, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

article translation request ru: Альянс врачей

[edit]

I found you on the list: Wikipedia:Translators_available#Russian-to-English.

I'm looking for someone to translate an article from Russian Wikipedia that does not seem to have an article in English Wikipedia, ru: Альянс врачей. They an organisation being mentioned in recent news about Alexey Navalny. There's no information about them in English Wikipedia but there is extensive article in Russian Wikipedia. I can't find any mention of them in English Wikipedia using that specific Russian name "Альянс врачей", or a literal translation "Alliance of Doctors".

Irtapil (talk) 01:31, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take note of that. I'm currently working on a small addition to the Sukhoi Su-17 article. But no promises. Varxo (talk) 09:38, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Taiwan

[edit]

p.s. I noticed your native language is Chinese? so you seem likely to be more knowable about the area than i am, what do you think of the intro to the article Taiwan? It looks somewhat unrealistic and borderline misleading to me. But i'm just a clueless Australian, and there's a dedicated group of users detained to keep it that way. Irtapil (talk) 01:35, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is a very significant article and I don't think I can make changes without reading in full, which I do not currently have time for. Varxo (talk) 09:39, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's only really the intro that's a problem, as far as i can see. The article seems to contain an appropriate range of the information, but the intro paragraph is a bit weird. But if you don't have time that's understandable. Irtapil (talk) 07:26, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
