Possible Userbox Solution
This is a form letter, please don't reply directly. Do, however, feel free to discuss this solution I've come up with.
I've made an unofficial place for all User Boxes (hopefully) safe from overzealous Admins. Feel free to add any you like, edit any there, or just list your already made userboxes there. Also feel free to edit the main page (the user page) in any way that you think might help. Please note, however, that this is a user page and not an official Wikipedia page, so almost any User Box will be tolerated as long as it's within reason. UserBox 03:26, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Your userpage, my apologies
I am so very sorry that I was not looking closely enough at my copy-n-pastes when I edited your user page. I am usually more careful than that. I hope that you can forgive my c-n-p error. All I can say is oops, and I hope that it will not happen again (though it probably will). - LA @ 05:32, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Question for you
Hi, I've added a question to your RFA. Just to clarify, I'm more interested in your motivation than in what you would do with the tools, which you've already addressed. Regards, Ben Aveling 03:18, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Teke's RfA thanks
Thank you for your support of my RfA, which has passed with a final tally of 76/1/1. With this overwhelming show of support and approval I am honored to serve Wikipedia in the task charged to me and as outlined in my nomination. Happy editing to you! Teke (talk) 17:48, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Made EFF userbox readable
As a courtesy, this is to let you know I revised the EFF userbox to be more readable, as the background was too dark. Thanks for continuing to provide this userbox. Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 19:53, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Considering I was nowhere near that "Leadership" board? Or did you make a typo on my IP which case you decided to forget about it and move on?
Note, this is not "vandalism". Ofcourse, you can interpret this in that way if you like. As you have always done.
It looks like that with 100% approval you are going to be promoted to admin status. I'll say well done now to anticipate the flood! Please ask if you have any questions about the role. Good luck! (aeropagitica) 22:23, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Hideyoshi's Invasions of Korea title dispute
There is a dispute on the title of the article. Consensus has not been reached, although one side claims so.
Could you put in your opinion after reading through? (especially last section). Thanks (Wikimachine 16:33, 4 September 2006 (UTC))
CfD closing error?
Hi. It seems you closed Category:Year-branched categories on WP:CFD, in a way which made it a confusing subset of a CfD that I opened (Category:Darger). I was wondering if you could fix this somehow, since I am not sure of the proper procedures, and there are big, red letters please do not modify it. Thanks! --Storkk 20:47, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Ghost Riders (wine) page
Hi, could you tell why you deleted the Ghost Riders label image? As far as I can tell, you deleted the whole image & now I have to upload the thing again? Perhaps (particularly as I was still in the first 24hrs of establishing the page), it might be better manners to leave a message on the talk page before deleting the whole image? Thank you
I have been attempting to clean up a set of entries that I thought were clearly non-notable, centering around the Rod D. Martin entry. Every time I would clean something up, I would be hit with denunciations from 3, 4, or 5 different people whom I suspected were sockpuppets/meatpuppets. Thanks for confirming this. DoctorSqueak 13:03, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
relisted AfD
I want to tell you that I relist a AfD that you closed (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aman Verjee) because a significant amount of votes in that AfD were from confirmed sockpuppets. I hope you don't mind, many thanks. --WinHunter (talk) 13:06, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Not a problem at all. Looking over the sockpuppets of this user and the keep comments in that AfD, this brings the consensus into question, and you're definitely right to relist it. This was a pretty subtle move on the sock's part, as it didn't look anything like sockpuppet cheerleading on this AfD. --- Deville (Talk) 14:01, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- If they are confirmed sockpuppets then this is perfectly alright to do. Any article can be put up for AfD at any time and sock stuffing of an AfD is a legtimate reason to question the validity of the consensus. (aeropagitica) 15:38, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

My monobook
Thanks for the heads-up about my monobook showing up on the CfD page. The offending edit was from the automated Wikipedia:WikiProject User scripts/User-script manager, which is not good news for those working on it. Hornplease 08:06, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
...is linked from the top of the Main Page at present. It hasn't been edited in almost 4 hours, and has been averaging less than 1 edit per hour in the last 12 hours. Are you sure there's enough of an emergency to justify semiprotecting the article at all, let alone given its association with the front page of the encyclopedia anyone can edit? -Splash - tk 11:40, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Re: Please notify uploader when you tag image as no source/no license
I usually do, but when the uploader hasn't edited Wikipedia in over two months, it's pretty useless, isn't it? --Fritz S. (Talk) 12:21, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Images
Mr Winhunter, unfortunately you should not have removed those tags. Gettyimages Inc offered to purchase most of my photographs from Caucasus and Ethiopia. I just made a deal with them and transferred most of the photos to their database. They were sold to them and gettyimages copyrighted those images under their company. If you leave those images, it will be a direct violation of copyright against gettyimages inc. If Wikipedia fails to delete them, I will report to Gettyimages distribution department and im sure they will take action. When they were uploaded, i released the rights of those images. However, as of today they are sold and copyrighted to a large photo distribution company. Please re-attach the tags and proceed with deletion. Otherwise, you probably should contact Gettyimages and settle the copyright violation by Wikipedia directly with their management. In compliance with rules and guidelines regarding copyrights materials, you should follow proper procedures to avoid legal constraints which this situation will cause. Thanks. Ldingley 14:17, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- I did not upload. User Khoikhoi received them via email from me. Please conform this with him. If you fail to delete them by end of today, I will report to gettyimages Inc for copyright violation by Wikipedia. I assure you, legal consequences will follow. Ldingley 14:23, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- You can find that evidence with user Khoikhoi who received my email with those photos. He has my emails. As i said, you have till end of today to comply. Thanks. Ldingley 14:39, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- FYI, I have separately posted about this situation at User_talk:Ldingley#Image_tagging. --AlisonW 14:42, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Block of Ldingley lifted
I have lifted your indefinite block of User:Ldingley. According to the block log, you blocked him because he violated WP:LEGAL. There is nothing on WP:LEGAL that warns that violation is a blockable offense; indeed, it says that "Making a polite, coherent complaint in cases of copyright infringement or attacks against you is not a "legal threat." I did not think Ldingley's complaint was incoherent or impolite (even though I also think he is 100% wrong about this being infringement). Please do not try to aggravate an already thorny situation with unnecessarily punitive blocks. Andrew Levine 15:57, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Hello, you protected this article earlier today on the version that was neutral and consensus, however, another admin, who supports User:Grandmaster reverted the article and then protected it on Grandmasters versions. See here (this is were Grandmaster asks El_C to reprotect the page and override your protection): [2] How can he do this? Is this not biased of him? Please check it out, and revert to my version, and then protect it. I have shown GM countless facts and sources, yet he simply does not even address them, he just keeps repeating himself and pushes his POV. This is not the first time he has used this tactice. Please do something as soon as possible, thanks.Khosrow II 23:50, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hello. Khosrow II is getting near to a disruption block for gaming the system. I'm confident I have the matter under control however, despite of my almost-total unfamiliarity with the content of the article in question. Thanks. Regards, El_C 00:02, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- How am I getting disruptive? I believe that the users who use cited facts in disputed articles has the benefit of the doubt right? So by that Wiki policy, it amuses me to see you support GM over me. Also, your reason for reverting the entire article is not a good one. All you had to do was change the part you disagreed with, not revert the entire article.Khosrow II 00:05, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Rex_Germanus
Greetings, I'm a little concerned about User:Rex_Germanus, who is so unrepentant about reverting Dutch_language 4 times in 26 hours that he has removed all Talk (his own, those of other users, admins) about his 48hr block from his userpage with the edit summaries "apparently wikipedia hasn't got it any more" and "remove shameful wikipedic punishment". That seems to fall into the category of Behavior that is unacceptable. Do you think it's worth pursuing this further? Colonel Mustard 14:06, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
help?
Hi, thanks for reverting whatever screwy mistake I just made...i'm trying to file a 3:RR but I'm not very technically competent and can't seem to figure it out...is there somewhere I can go for help?
Thanks, Cindery 09:02, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
...I can't seem to figure out what a diff is even though I read the page 10x, and I don't understand why when I copy and paste the report form it shows up in duplicate?...My apologies for being so lame. Cindery 09:13, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Abortion. User:Severa. 6x in the last few hours, in whole or in part. (against consensus. no talkpage discussion. during an accuracy dispute. after reverting the same info yesterday twice. today she reverted fully twice, then her last four reverts were partial/with misleading edit summaries.) Cindery 09:28, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hello, Winhunter. I am willing to admit that I may have crossed the 3RR line in an editorial conflict with Cindery. However, Cindery has also crossed this line, and in addition there is reason to suspect that she may be relying upon a sockpuppet account, or engaging in "meatpuppetry," as defined by WP:SOCK. Please refer to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Abortion. Thank you. -Severa (!!!) 09:37, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi Winhunter, Thanks for protecting the page. I have to note three things though 1) she's the only one who crossed 3:RR 2) she's not in an editorial conflict with me, she's in an editorial conflict in general 2) she refuses to dicuss changes on talkpage or respect consensus 3) she claims to be sorry for violating WP:NPA and WP:DBNC regarding accusing someone who disagreed with her of being a sockpuppet (but continues to call people who disagree with her vandals or sockpuppets...) I expect that this problem will continue, but I hope protecting the page will help. Cindery 09:55, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry for the intrusion. I thought it pertinent to post the diffs for Cindery's 3RR transgressions, which total three, if you do not count the one by the sock/"me-too" account:
- As for User:Mumblio, I only refered to him as a "sockpuppet," a conclusion I believed to be based on reasonable evidence. Cindery has used an abusive epithet against Mumblio on his talk page:
- Your decision to protect is appreciated given the the counterproductive turn this dispute has taken. Thank you. -Severa (!!!) 10:28, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
the "abusive epithet" was a reference to a well-known humorous quote from saturday night live: in a famous, recurring skit, dan akroyd and jane curtin are talking heads for a news program called "weekend update." dan becomes visibly angry whenever jane reads an editorial. when it is his turn to rebut her, instead of addressing her argument, he ad hominem attacks her by prefacing his rebuttal with "jane, you ignorant slut..." this is not dissimilar in kind from how mumblio was attacked for expressing his opinion at abortion--instead of addressing his opinion on content, severa called him a sockpuppet. my use of the SNL reference in a message to him was a successful attempt to use humor to make him feel better about how he was treated. if one reads other peoples' talk pages and doesn't understand something--i often don't when i read doctors' talkpages--i think a better thing to do is ask someone/research what it means, not make assumptions and accusations. other peoples' talkpages are there for everyone to read, but there is no requirement that they be dumbed-down for a universal audience. some references might go over some peoples' heads. moral of story: if you hunt through personal talkpages for ammunition, you not only run the risk of looking like you are anxious to start irrelevant conflicts on flimsy pretexts, but you may also appear ridiculous. Cindery 18:45, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks...
