Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to Layla El. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this article.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Layla's article uses the British date formatting – ie date month year. Please do not change this again. NiciVampireHeart 09:43, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stop changing the date format on Layla El. If you don't like the dmy format, then go edit a different article that uses the American style. The entire article uses dmy format - changing it in one section doesn't make any sense. Don't do it again. NiciVampireHeart 14:16, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Help Survey

[edit]

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited WWE Diva, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Unification (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Some advice

[edit]

Hello Xbeautifullmess! Firstly I must applaud you for your contributions to female wrestlers' pages, where few dare to tread. You have fine heart for wanting the female wrestlers' pages to be promptly updated. Yet, I must caution you; please do not be overenthusiastic.

  • Just adding more content does not mean that an article is improved. The WP:PW style guide states, "Summarize the career of the wrestler, but make sure you leave it to major events and key points. Try not to include week-by-week synopsis of what that wrestler did on whatever show they're on." The rationale is clear, if we add content of what a wrestler did every single week, the wrestler's article will very quickly become too long and tedious to read. Might I point out some of your edits, like this one to Kaitlyn. Is it really that important to Kaitlyn's overall career that she participated in "the first ever Divas Country Music Chairs"? Is it relevant that Rosa Mendes and Alicia Fox also participated in the brawl with the Total Divas? No, I don't think so. I think only relevant thing, is the PPV match itself. The feud was really about AJ vs Total Divas anyway, Kaitlyn was hardly relevant. Do you see my point? I will be editing Kaitlyn's article to "trim the fat", you can take a look at that soon.
  • Also, about sourcing. You obviously know how to cite sources, but I must strongly encourage you to use the right ones. Wikipedia policy states that Wikipedia "should be based on reliable, published secondary sources", so I would also discourage you from citing wwe.com (a primary source) unless absolutely necessary. The style guide details which secondary sources are reliable and which are not. pwtorch and wrestleview works, but wrestlinginc is not reliable, and diva-dirt is only usable if the reliable wrestling sites fail to provide coverage.

Ok, that's that for now. If you have any queries, you may post on my talk page, or you can come over to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Professional wrestling, there's a talk page there, you can post a new section for the group of us over at WP:PW. I know you mean well, and hopefully with this, you can contribute better and improve our articles better. Thank you. Starship.paint (talk) 08:52, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding WWE

[edit]

Please do not change the WWE section of wrestler articles to "World Wrestling Entertainment/WWE". The company may be doing business as World Wrestling Entertainment, however the company's actual name is WWE. The company used to do business as Titan Sports, Inc. while it was the World Wrestling Federation and later World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc. when it first become World Wrestling Entertainment. However, in 2011, the company changed it's public name to just, WWE. Therefore, articles are to reflect that if the superstar joined the company post-2011. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited TNA Knockout, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Legit. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Removing WWE's recognized days for title reigns

[edit]

Please refrain from removing what WWE recognizes as their title reigns, as you did here as well as other spots. Consensus was reached to include WWE's recognized days, since these titles are WWE's titles after all. --JDC808 08:44, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Just leave the titles alone.

[edit]

Listen I know you don't like the WWE Reigns just as much as me but they're just going to report you. It's better off if we just leave it be, just try to ignore it when reading it. All the best - HulaHoopWWE (talk) 03:05, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
