Bad Move

[edit]

This move was incorrect (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Alt_Variety_Magazine_%281%29&action=history). AfC pages have to in "Wikipedia talk" space. I've moved it back.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:56, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

images

[edit]

First, let me assure you that I had nothing to do with removing the images from that article. All I did was rename it.

Second, your statement that the images were 'approved' by Commons is ... inexact. The images were uploaded to Commons; however, the people administering Commons are overworked volunteers (as with every Wikipedia project). An image which is on Commons one day, may be removed the next day if it's inappropriate for whatever reason. This is what happened to the images: they were deleted off Commons, and then the Delinker bot came through and cleaned up the article so it wouldn't have dead image links.

The reason the images were deleted is that you did not supply the right information about copyright and provenance. Several warnings were left on your talk page, here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Yeggbum . You did not address the warnings for several days, and so the images were deleted. DS (talk) 17:08, 18 January 2014 (UTC) That's very helpful. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yeggbum (talkcontribs) 17:09, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
