Welcome to the Private Practice task force. Several Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Private Practice and the information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. Goals[edit]

  • Standardize coverage of the American television program Private Practice.
  • Improve lower-quality articles to Good or Featured statuses.
  • Maintain and further improve articles already of high-quality.

Scope[edit]

  • Our force is designed to help collaborate a group effort in improving all articles related to the 2007–present television drama Private Practice. It is free for all and anybody can join, even if you are new to Wikipedia or just have not edited the Private Practice articles before! You can help us out in small ways by just fixing a typographical error here and there or you could write extended summaries for Private Practice episodes. You could even help cite things to help make all articles related to Private Practice comprehensive and factual. Some of the core project goals are to maintain cited and comprehensive articles related to Private Practice and to create a consistent and detailed look for each page.

Guidelines[edit]

The following is the guidelines which tries to help editors improve the quality of Wikipedia's articles within scope of Private Practice-related articles. For Wikipedia guidelines regarding how to write about fiction in general, see Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction). These are only guidelines and may be altered depending on current Wikipolicies and/or project participant consensus.

Please note that other main policies will also apply, including WP:MOS and MOS:TV, etc.

Participants[edit]

If you want to get involved in this project, please add your name to the participants' list. There is a userbox available for members of this project. Please feel free to put this on your userpage by adding {{User Private Practice task force}}. Alternatively, if you do not wish to use the userbox, you may add [[Category:Private Practice task force participants|{{PAGENAME}}]] to the end of your user page. If you are just a fan, feel free to add {{User:TRLIJC19/PP fan}} or {{User:TRLIJC19/PP fan2}} to your user page.

Active members are users that contribute to any Private Practice-related article, at least once a month. A member is given "semi-active" status, after not contributing for one month straight, and a member is given "inactive" status, after not contributing for two months. Tagging and assessment[edit]

Any articles that are within the scope of this project should be tagged with {{WikiProject Television|class=|importance=|private-practice=|private-practice-importance=}} banner. The resulting article ratings are used within the project to help in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work. They also play a role in the WP:1.0 program, which the WikiProject uses to help automate some of the assessing process.

  • The template should be placed on the talk pages of relevant articles to put them under the project's radar. It looks like this:
