{{Request edit}}

I am a paid editor, and I would like to request some help in making minor changes to the above article. There are two factual statements with citations that SGN would like added, plus they would like the picture to be updated. I made the necessary changes, since they were factual and supported with citations, but in the course of getting the photo approved by permissions (which was done), the changes were undone since I am a paid editor. The changes are as follows:

Add to the end of the fourth paragraph: "SGN acquired Mob Science in 2013." (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-chris-dewolfe-sgn-gaming-acquires-mob-science-20130612,0,2530178.story)

Add to the last sentence of the last paragraph: "and is currently on the board of directors for Talenthouse." (http://pandodaily.com/news/myspace-co-founder-chris-dewolfe-joins-talent-house/)

I also have other citations if these are not sufficient.

The new photo is here, and has been approved. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CHRIS_DeWOLFE_FINAL.JPG

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Alexwillis (talk) 14:30, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for the wait. This has been completed now. Rather than using the PandoDaily reference, whose reliability i'm not certain about, I just used a Silicon Valley Business Journal reference with the same information. I also went ahead and added a reference for the LA County Museum of Art statement. SilverserenC 00:47, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Thank you! As usual, you rock. Alexwillis (talk) 01:46, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

I thought they were done, but I guess they're not. They would like to make some changes to the SGN page. Let me know if the Venture Beat citations are sufficient (I'm going to assume that Forbes and the LATimes are okay....). Once again, thanks in advance, and let me know if you need anything else from me.

Requested changes to SGN:

Add to the second paragraph:

1. SGN utilizes a patent-pending technology, called MasterKey — that allows the company to develop a game once and then quickly port it to all major platforms, including Facebook, iOS, Web, and Android. http://www.forbes.com/sites/lorikozlowski/2013/06/12/the-science-of-social-games/2/

2. SGN makes money from advertising and sales of virtual goods within games. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-chris-dewolfe-sgn-gaming-acquires-mob-science-20130612,0,2530178.story#axzz2jAw0aQeV

3. In June 2013, SGN acquired Mob Science, a game studio based in Carlsbad, CA, notable for their game "Legends: Rise of a Hero." http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-chris-dewolfe-sgn-gaming-acquires-mob-science-20130612,0,2530178.story#axzz2jAw0aQeV

4. SGN has plans for additional acquisitions and is currently on a hiring spree, planning to increase its staff by 30% over the next 6 months. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-chris-dewolfe-sgn-gaming-acquires-mob-science-20130612,0,2530178.story#axzz2jAw0aQeV http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-chris-dewolfe-sgn-hiring-20130904,0,4538894.story#axzz2jAw0aQeV

Changes:

1. Change this sentence: SGN has sold over 150 million of their games SGN has over 350 million installations of their games http://venturebeat.com/2013/06/13/social-gaming-network-acquires-mob-science-shares-its-strategy-for-growth/

Done, however, I think you read the article wrong. SGN has had 300 million installs and acquiring Mob Science adds 50 million new possible users. You can't, however, add game downloads and users together. That doesn't make sense. So I listed it as 300 million downloads, not 350. SilverserenC 01:11, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

2. Change this sentence: One of the major developers and publishers of games on Facebook, iOS, and Android, SGN has published titles such as Fluff Friends Rescue,[4] Jewels of the Amazon, Bubble Atlantis, Skies of Glory, FAST, MindJolt, and Lil Flippers. To - One of the major developers and publishers of games on Facebook, iOS, and Android, SGN has published titles such as Panda Jam, Bingo Blingo, Fluff Friends Rescue,[4] Mindjolt, Jewels of the Amazon, Bubble Atlantis, and Skies of Glory. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-chris-dewolfe-sgn-hiring-20130904,0,4538894.story#axzz2jAw0aQeV

3. Change this sentence: SGN is based in Los Angeles, with studios in Buenos Aires and San Francisco. To - SGN is based in Los Angeles, with studios in Buenos Aires, San Francisco, and Carlsbad. http://venturebeat.com/2013/06/13/social-gaming-network-acquires-mob-science-shares-its-strategy-for-growth/

Done with this one. Easy enough change. SilverserenC 01:06, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Thanks in advance!

Alexwillis (talk) 10:24, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Hmm...okay. The references look fine, but i'm concerned with the wording changes on some of them. I'll do the ones that I think are fine and mark those and then we can discuss the ones that are left. SilverserenC 00:48, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

I appreciate your help, and use your judgment. I have fully educated this client on the limitations of what I can do--they know they may not get all the changes they ask for. Just let me know when you've decided which changes you're not comfortable making. Thanks so much! Alexwillis (talk) 01:08, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Okay, i've done two of them, but I have issues with the rest. For the four sentences to be added in the second paragraph, the wording on all of these is horrible.

1. First off, the Masterkey. The wording needs to be fixed, because even if it doesn't have a patent yet, calling it a "patent pending technology" in an encyclopedia is bad. Keep the sentence simple. You don't need to repeat the names of the things they port to again. Way too promotional.

2. As for the advertising and virtual goods part, the sentence needs to sound better. I'm rather iffy on it. Maybe instead reword it to "with a focus on using advertisements and selling virtual goods in-game"? I'm not too particular on this one though, so it's not that big of a deal.

3. On the Mob Science sentence, why do we need to say the name of a game they made? That would be appropriate for an article on Mob Science, which this isn't. And the game doesn't appear to be notable enough to have its own article either.

4. And then we come to the hiring sentence. First question that should immediately come to mind: Who cares? This sentence suffers from recentism, promotionalism, and just being non-encyclopedic all around. So they're looking for more acquisitions, good for them, i'm sure plenty of other companies are too, we don't say that in their articles though. So, they're hiring, again, what does that have to do with anything? I can maybe see including a sentence on increasing staff that was done after the fact, but not a promotional before the fact sentence. That's just inappropriate in so many ways. I think you need to let them know that this article is meant to be about their history, not about their future enterprises.

5. Lastly is the sentence about their games. The sentence is getting too unwieldy. Considering their amount of games, we're at the point where we should probably insert a table with all their games, release dates, platforms, and such. Maybe something similar to what Telltale Games has in its article. Also, expanding the history that talks about what led to each game's release and other info like that, similar again to what the Telltale Games article does in its history section, would be good, so long as we have the references to do it.

I think that about covers it. I'll wait for your response on these points. Sorry if I was a little harsh. SilverserenC 01:28, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Don't worry about being harsh. I'm not personally invested in the changes. I'll probably tone down the language a bit when I go back to the client, but I'm not that thin-skinned myself! I'll take a look and consult with the client and have a response for you probably on Monday or Tuesday. Thanks again for all your help. Alexwillis (talk) 01:38, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi--I have consulted with the client.

For 1. and 2. I proposed to the client the following paragraph, which they agreed to. I think this covers most of your objections, but I'm sure that SGN would be fine with it if you feel that it needs to be reworded:

SGN is one of the major developers and publishers of games on Facebook, iOS, and Android, With an focus on using advertisements and selling virtual goods in-game, SGN utilizes MasterKey—a technology that allows the company to develop the game once and then quickly port it to all major platforms. SGN has totaled over 300 million game downloads,[5] which have also been installed on leading mobile and social platforms, making SGN one of the largest cross-platform gaming companies in the world.[6] SGN is responsible for more than twelve top ten titles on the iTunes App Store and three #1 titles on the Amazon Appstore.[7]

3. They're fine with cutting out the name of the game and reducing the sentence to: In June 2013, SGN acquired Mob Science, a game studio based in Carlsbad, CA.

4. I recommended that they not fight you on this one, they agreed. We can forget about the hiring spree. They may address it in the future, when it's after the fact and documented.

5. They like the idea of a table of games, but they feel it would take a while for them to organize. Can we change the sentence as proposed until they are able to put together the table?

Thanks again for all your help! Alexwillis (talk) 00:43, 6 November 2013 (UTC)

I know it's been a long time, but here you go. Finally done. SilverserenC 01:18, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Thank you!!! Alexwillis (talk) 01:24, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Ramtha's School of Enlightenment

It doesn't look like editors post here very often, but I've hit a roadblock on a page I'd like to work on and I'm looking for advice about how to move forward.

Since early October, I've been talking to editors about some changes I think are needed to the Ramtha's School of Enlightenment page, but the discussion got very long and complex. A few editors suggested that we work section by section so I've tried to restart the discussion focusing on just one section of the page.

However, since I posted this message about the "Research" section I haven't been able to find any editors to review or discuss the changes with me. I've left messages about this at three related Wikiprojects, at COIN and with the previously involved editors but haven't heard anything.

I understand that because of my conflict of interest I shouldn't make any edits to the page myself. (I was hired by the school to try and improve this page, but I am not a member of the school.) Does anyone here have a suggestion about how I can move this discussion forward? Calstarry (talk) 18:39, 25 November 2013 (UTC)

Stratosphere Casino

{{request edit}}

Hello. I work with the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower handling public relations. The property is asking if a Performers or Entertainment category can be added? Although rides are covered extensively, there is no mention of performers working on property.

Frankie Moreno has been the headliner at the Stratosphere since 2011 [1] He performs Wednesday through Saturday [2] Claire Sinclair began performing in Pin Up in April 2013. [3] Performances are Thursday through Monday [4] David Perrico - Pop Evolution began monthly performances, the first and third Tuesday of each month in May 2013 [5] Half the proceeds from each ticket is donated to the Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts, a public magnet arts school in the Clark County School District [6] [http://www.stratospherehotel.com/Casino/Nightlife/Shows/Pop-Evolution} any help is appreciated. FixerLV FixerLV (talk) 19:05, 25 November 2013 (UTC)

I've changed the "Attractions" section title to "Attractions and entertainment" and then added a "Performers" subsection with the requested information. Sorry this took so long. SilverserenC 04:44, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

C-SPAN: Two fixes, pre-FAC submission

Hello, anyone watching. I'm looking for help with two edits to the C-SPAN article before taking it to WP:FAC. I ran out of time on my first attempt and the submission was archived; I'm nearly ready to resubmit it, but first I'd like to tie up these two loose ends. I've tried asking on the article's Talk page and with several individual editors, but have not been successful in getting a response, which brings me here.

  • First, C-SPAN's XM radio channel was recently updated, but the old channel number is still listed in the article. I posted on the Talk page about this here. I'm looking for someone to correct the channel number in the two places it appears in the article.
  • Second, and perhaps a little more complicated, I am looking for an editor to help make an update to the Development section to add a little more detail about two of C-SPAN's founders. I had begun discussing this potential change with another editor, but they've been away from the page for a while now, so I'm hoping someone else can help resolve this. The relevant conversation can be found on the Talk page here. It begins with the bullet point and the word "Development".

I'm happy to answer any questions about either of these two edits. Cheers, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 18:23, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

This is now  Done. WWB Too (Talk · COI) 17:45, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

Notion Capital

Notion Capital was recently deleted by PROD, due to notability concerns. User:GiantSnowman kindly userfied the article at my request, at User:Pigsonthewing/Notion Capital where I have improved it. It is now ready for publication, and I believe that our notability requirements are satisfied by coverage by TechCrunch, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and more. I declare an interest, as I have a professional relationship with Norton. I therefore invite and request an uninvolved editor to review the article and move it back to its original location. It may then be sensible, if it had any content, for an admin to undelete the original talk page. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:48, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Having had no response here in over a week, despite posing pointers elsewhere; and noting that this page, though not busy, appears to be backlogged, I have now published the article, at Notion Capital. Nonetheless, I invite other editors to review it. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 17:40, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Coal Association of Canada

I have been approached by the Coal Association of Canada about the Coal in Canada article and the List of coal mines in Canada article. They have offered to pay me to expand the Coal in Canada article to include information from the PwC Economic Reports on Coal and expand the List of coal mines in Canada article to include all of the coal mines in Canada. I have never engaged in paid editing before. Is this something I can do? I don't want to do anything against Wikipedia guidelines/policy, so any advice or help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I will certainly not engage in this transaction if the Wikipedia community considers it inappropriate. Neelix (talk) 02:39, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Considering that no one has responded to this notice, I have sought out advice from other editors, and will not be checking back here anymore for responses. Neelix (talk) 04:04, 8 December 2013 (UTC)

New article: Baring Asset Management

{{Request edit}}

Dear all, I have recently re-submitted a new article for Baring Asset Management. Due to my COI I can't (and won't) create a page directly. I'd appreciate if you could have a look at it and provide me with feedback. The first version received some, please see my talk, I believe I have made all the required amends now. Could you please review it and make it live if you're happy with it? At the moment, the Baring Asset Management article is redirected to Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company article so hope there won't be any tech issues with this. I've never actually found out why this redirect was put in place. Many thanks for you help. Kat Kt1502 (talk) 09:29, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

Moved into mainspace already. Two weeks isn't that bad of a response time for AfC, actually. SilverserenC 03:23, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

Tomb Raider suggested edits

Hi! I work for the company that developed/published Tomb Raider (2013 video game) for Mac. I've suggested edits on the article's Talk page, but it's been sitting there for some days now and the page could really do with the update. If someone over here has a moment, please could you check out my suggested edits? Thanks! They are as follows:

1. Amendment to last sentence in top para so it reads “Tomb Raider was released on 5 March 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and for Mac OS X on 23 January 2014.”

2. Addition of Feral Interactive (OS X) under “Additional work by:” under Developer(s) in infobox.

In the “Release” section it may also be worth adding that TR was released for the Mac App Store on the 23rd, but will be released in other stores (including Steam) on the 30th. The TR DLC also came out for Mac on the 23rd.

Sources: Official TR for Mac Release News Post, TR on the Feral Store

Eeeeeb (talk) 12:11, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

I've added the Mac release date to the end of the first paragraph and a sentence in the Release section of the article, with a Joystiq reference. I think that works better as a secondary source than the primary ones like the company's news website. And I also moved Feral Interactive to be in the Developer's section of the infobox, under Additional Work by and specified as OS X. Everything good? SilverserenC 03:38, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
That's great, many thanks! Though Feral Interactive is a publisher (for Mac OS X) as well as a developer, so if you could add Feral Interactive back under the publisher section as well that would be much appreciated. My bad; I wasn't very clear about that. Eeeeeb (talk) 09:02, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Done. SilverserenC 05:15, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Looking for help with Accenture article

Hello, I'm currently working on behalf of Accenture to update and improve their article, which suffers from a number of issues. I've posted some requests over at Talk:Accenture, but as of yet, I haven't been able to locate an editor to help.

I should note that a number of the edits I've requested were made previously, after discussions with two editors, User:Stalwart111 and User:FeralOink, but have since been undone. Where relevant, I've linked to the previous discussions about the issues I raise. If someone has a chance to take a look and help out here, I'd appreciate it! Cheers, ChrisPond (Talk · COI) 18:27, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

I'll take a look. Feel free to remind me to follow up by leaving a message on my talk page.--KeithbobTalk 21:07, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

The McLoughlin Gallery

Hi all - I know this doesn't fit in perfectly with what this board is normally used for, but I figured that making a note here would be handy anyway. My partner and I have written a number of non-coi articles, but recently wrote our first COI article - The McLoughlin Gallery. We've decided not to strictly follow the brightline rule for a number of reasons, but still welcome scrutiny of our work, and especially as this is the first COI piece we've done, would appreciate any questions, comments, feedback etc about it. SGN

{{Request edit}}

I am a freelance editor, and I have been asked to add the company logo to the Social Gaming Network page. The company web page (http://sgn.com/) has been updated with their new logo, and I also have a clean copy of the logo if necessary. I would appreciate any help that you can provide. Thanks! Alex. Alexwillis (talk) 18:37, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

The first step would be for you to read Wikipedia:Logos. In regards to that, I asked over at the Help Desk just to make sure on something I was wondering and it appears that i'm right. Because the logo is simple lettering with a border, it doesn't fall under copyright, just trademark. Which makes it much easier to upload. Feel free to upload your clean copy, using the "Upload file" tool which should be in the sidebar, and in the description, just explain in a short two sentences or so that due to the logo being plain text with a border, it does not fall under copyright law, it is merely trademarked and that it is being used for primary identification of the subject within the article on the subject company.
Once you've done that, i'll take a look at it and put it into the article for you. SilverserenC 06:14, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

As usual, you are incredibly helpful. I've uploaded the clean copy to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:SGNLogo.png, and hopefully I've put the text you indicate in the right spot. Let me know if I need to do anything else. Thanks! Alex. Alexwillis (talk) 15:05, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

You're going to have to upload it locally onto the English Wikipedia, not Commons. While it may not be under copyright, only trademarked, that doesn't make it free media and only free media is allowed on Commons. If you notice, they've already tagged it for deletion. SilverserenC 03:16, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Sorry. I was afraid that was the wrong place to upload it. It's here File:Social_Gaming_Network_Logo.png now. I think that's right. Let me know. Thanks! Alex.Alexwillis (talk) 11:57, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Okay, it's been added, along with a rudimentary infobox. SilverserenC 01:54, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Great! Thanks for all your help! Alexwillis (talk) 15:03, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

Turkish Wikipedia

Hello! I would like to develop the botanics and other themes in Turkish Wikipedia, but I want to be paid. Is it possible for me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.140.187.27 (talk) 14:58, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

I do not know. This page isn't for paying editors for their work, but to assist editors already being paid by someone so that their suggestions can be reviewed for neutrality. Also, this seems like something you should be asking about on Turkish Wikipedia, not here. SilverserenC 11:34, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Assisting with queues

Hi, Silverseren, and everyone. Would it be a good idea for the potentially conflicted editor to assist in resolving some of the problem queues, such as Category:Requested edits and Category:AfC submissions by date? It seems that someone who is conflicted in one area would have no problem neutrally assisting others in an unrelated area; the only benefit is the slight increase in likelihood that one's own edit requests or articles for creation would be slightly higher in queue, but since the backlog reduction is more of a benefit to the project than it is to the potentially conflicted editor, it seems to be suitable in my view. It smacks of Strangers on a Train but in this case the benefit is distributed through the community rather than personal and bilateral, so it passes muster. Naturally one would never handle one's own potentially conflicted topics directly or topics close to them.

I ask because the idea of reducing the edit requests backlog is really appealing to me because many of them seem easy and straightforward, and also there is an AfC backlog drive this month that is of interest to me. Should I sign up?

I also left a message at Silverseren's talk to review the page User:Ocaasi/Seren and its talk, where some additional questions about WikiProject Cooperation are pending. Thank you! Frieda Beamy (talk) 02:51, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

I think such editing is beneficial, if it really is on a different topic altogether. Unfortunately, at present it is necessary to be absolutely certain there is no possible cross-over, because the amount of paid editing is at such a high level that other people will tend to be suspicious and skeptical. DGG ( talk ) 23:10, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the encouragement! I'll be sure to keep generally clear of articles that look paid. Frieda Beamy (talk) 21:03, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Updating two pages after nonprofit merger

I am an employee at Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), which was formed in 2012 as a result of two nonprofits, the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network and Food Allergy Initiative. I've been tasked by my employer to edit the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network page with updated revenue, logo, address, and content (basically a full overhaul). Our website is still www.foodallergy.org. Can you help advise where to start? I have a draft, complete with references, but would like to know the step-by-step that is recommended in this situation since there are two pages involved. Here is a link to more information on the merger: http://www.foodallergy.org/about/history --Acl92886 (talk) 19:01, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Sorry I took so long to get to this. Alright, first off, have you put the draft on Wikipedia? If not, you can put it at User:Acl92886/FARE. After that, if you could just list what exactly the changes are that have been made. For most of them, I can probably implement them myself. SilverserenC 04:33, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
Thank you! Still working on the draft but will have it posted to that page within a week and I'll update here when it's complete. Acl92886 (talk) 12:56, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
I'm turning this edit request off while this user is working on the draft. I'm assuming that the draft would be about the old FAAN and the new FARE, and the other existing article would continue to be about the old FAI with only a summary reference that links to FARE for more information. The user can create the user draft page as mentioned and then go to what is now Talk:Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network and put {{Request edit}} there with a section heading and explanatory note. Also the move appears uncontroversial so I'm going to see if I can do that now. Keep in mind that promotional text about FARE is likely not to be accepted over the long term and the article can continue to be edited by anyone. Frieda Beamy (talk) 21:38, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

Seeking help with infobox updates to the Verizon Communications article

Hello, I'm an employee of Verizon, and have been working here on Wikipedia with a number of editors to improve the Verizon Communications article. As an editor with a financial conflict of interest, I've made no edits to the article itself, and have instead been using the Talk page to post suggestions.

However, it appears that no editors have yet had time to take a look at my most recent set of suggestions, these related to updating the infobox on the article to make it accurate and up-to-date, as well as some concerns I had about a recent edit. It has been several weeks since I posted the outreach, and although I've reached out to previously helpful editors individually on their Talk pages, as well as to WikiProject:Telecommunications, no one has yet weighed in or made the changes.

If someone from this group has time to look at what I've posted and make the updates if they seem acceptable, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks so much, VZBob (talk) 15:02, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Hello again—as Silver seren notes, the infobox updates that I requested have been made. However, there is still the issue of the recent edit, which I've moved into its own section on the Talk page. Silver seren suggested that I reach out to other editors about this, so I'm hoping someone else here might still be able to take a look.
Thanks so much, VZBob (talk) 19:55, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
This is now done. VZBob (talk) 18:30, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

Proposed revision for Heritage Action article

Hi, I am looking for editors to review a revised draft I have prepared for the Heritage Action article. I'm under the impression that this page is not very active but I'm reaching out here in hopes that it is being monitored as I have not received responses to similar messages I have left on several WikiProjects (Conservatism, Politics, Organizations) and related Talk pages (Heritage Action, The Heritage Foundation and one user Talk page). I'm hopeful editors here might be interested in taking a look at my draft.

I have prepared the revision on behalf of Heritage Action and, due to my relationship with the subject, I am requesting that editors review the draft I have prepared and provide feedback so I can improve my draft. I will not make any edits to the Heritage Action article.

I've left a detailed message at Talk:Heritage Action explaining the differences between my draft and the current version. This message also links to the draft in my userspace.

Looking forward to discussing this draft with editors. Thanks, Morzabeth (talk) 03:35, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

I'll do a more thorough review of it tomorrow. But, for now, an initial glance at the article raises one question from me. You have sections for legislation supported and opposed, are these sections comprehensive for the group or are they still missing things? I just want to make sure there aren't any biases of them supporting or opposing things that caused them to be heavily criticized because of it. SilverserenC 09:00, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Hi there Silver. The current article has sections for legislation supported and opposed. My draft has sections for different areas of legislation that Heritage Action has focused on. I figured that more specific section headings would help the article would grow in the future without becoming difficult to navigate.
Obviously it will not be possible to include every position the organization has ever taken as the section would be too long and, in fact, many issues Heritage Action supports or opposes have only received brief mentions in the press. I have done my best to include the events for which there was the most coverage in reliable sources. I have not knowingly excluded anything that was criticized or negative. I think the difficulty with this section is that there are not sources that provide a general overview of Heritage Action's areas of interest, positions and opinions. Therefore I have constructed this section based on many individual sources.
This draft is my suggested revision for the article, I welcome input from others about what should or should not be included in this section. Let me know if you have any other questions when you take a closer look. Morzabeth (talk) 17:29, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
Sorry it took me so long to get to this. Finals week and all that. Okay, i've read over your entire draft and it seems fine to me. You did a good job in keeping just to the facts. The only thing I would mention if that you should probably add a description of what the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act does, since every other act mentioned in the article is described except this one. Request for ESNM

Hello, I worked on a draft to create a new page. I am looking for an editor to review it.

Here's the link to the draft: User:Solarys-fr/European_Society_of_Neurogastroenterology_and_Motility

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Thanks! Solarys-fr — Preceding undated comment added 15:05, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Looks ok to me. Kindzmarauli (talk) 18:41, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, it looks good to me too. Maybe throw an organization infobox on the top (remember you don't need to fill in all the options, just the relevant ones). SilverserenC 23:51, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

Requesting help for Verizon Enterprise Solutions article

Hello, I'm back to request help from an editor on the Verizon Enterprise Solutions article. The article is very short and has almost no information, so I drafted a more complete version, which I've uploaded to my userspace.

I've attempted to reach out to relevant WikiProjects and individual editors to help here, but as of yet, I've had no response from any of them. I'm hopeful an editor here can take a look at my draft and implement it if it looks okay. As I've mentioned here before, I'm an employee of Verizon, so I don't make any edits myself.

Thanks so much, VZBob (talk) 20:29, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Thanks kindly for bringing this to our attention, VZBob. I've nominated the article for deletion. DocumentError (talk) 02:50, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
Hi DocumentError, thanks for your reply—however, I think I wasn't clear. I do believe that Verizon Enterprise Solutions has enough independent coverage in the press to warrant having a Wikipedia article. Because the article is short, I drafted a longer article to replace it. I posted here in the hopes that an editor could review my draft and replace the live article with it if it looked okay. Do you think you might have time to take a look?
Thanks so much, VZBob (talk) 13:19, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Sorry,VZBob, I read too quickly. Of course your article is great. I'll update it now and withdraw the deletion nomination. Also, I'll submit it for a DYK feature as soon as the deletion nomination has been closed. DocumentError (talk) 08:07, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi DocumentError, no problem at all, and thank you so much for looking at my draft and implementing it! VZBob (talk) 13:21, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

COI help - already tried talk page and help chat

Hi, I'm a paid editor with a COI. In November, I posted proposed changes to the Christopher J.L. Murray page. Receiving no response to my draft - and unsure whether the lack of response meant the draft didn't fit the guidelines or simply was backlogged - I posted again. After that, I sought help via Help Chat and incorporated the suggestions of the helpful editors there. I posted again but still have no response. The guidelines say the next step is to post here. Can you help? Thanks! Savannah38 (talk) 17:51, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

AFC draft

I entered a draft in articles for creation. I did so in order for an initial review, but it says it hasn't been submitted.

I was hoping to get this live soon and really wanted to properly submit, etc.

How do I submit it for review and how long does that take?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:The_Last_Well — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vgrgrr (talkcontribs) 05:05, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

The article has been declined because it reads like an advertisement. To update it, please make sure that it is from a Neutral Point of View or request for an experienced editor to help to do it. It can take up to 3 weeks for a draft to be reviewed. Hope that helped! TheMagikCow (talk) 17:52, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

SGN and Woven Digital

I am a paid editor and I am requesting assistance in editing the article for Social Gaming Network. They have several text changes that they would like to be made, they would like to add a tables of their games, and they have some stats to add to their company stats section. All of the text changes are supported by references.

I have another client who would like an article added for their company--Woven Digital. I'm not sure whether to seek assistance here or through the AfC page. I'm unsure about their notability (although their are several references in their article that link to existing Wikipedia articles.

I'd appreciate any guidance you can give me about either or both of these requests. Thanks! Alex. Alexwillis (talk) 19:31, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Woven digital seems to be notable from a quick google search. Try the WP:AFC process to create it and make sure to read WP:Your first article. Hope that helped! TheMagikCow (talk) 17:55, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to take a look at the notability for Woven Digital--I'll take it over to WP:AFC as you suggest. Can you also help with the changes to SGN? I've made some minor changes to the page myself, but I hesitate to make the more extensive changes they are requesting without running them by a neutral editor first, as I have done in the past. I really appreciate your help! Thanks! Alex. Alexwillis (talk) 03:47, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation

Hi, I'm a paid editor working on updating the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation page. A few weeks ago, I posted a draft article updating material that has been on the IHME page for several years. I have not yet received no response. Hoping I can get some assistance here. I have studied the COI policies and intend to comply. Thanks in advance, Wikipedians! Savannah38 (talk) 17:32, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

@Savannah38: I have moved the draft from the talk page to Draft:Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. I have also done lots of cleanup. If possible could you remove the external links from the main text (they're fine at the end), and then it should be pretty ready. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 17:33, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
@EoRdE6: Thanks so much, EoRdE6, for taking the time to go through this and clean it up. I'm a little confused by what you're asking me to do, though. Take out all of the external links from the article? I guess I'm confused by the term "main text." In the top section, I don't believe there are any external links - there's just internal links to Wikipedia articles. If you're saying I need to take out all the external links from the entire article, then should I put them in at the bottom somewhere? Please let me know what this needs and I'll get right on it. Thanks again. Savannah38 (talk) 23:24, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
@Savannah38: Basically there shouldn't be any external links anywhere except the external links section at the bottom and one in the infobox to the companies website if needed. Read WP:ELPOINTS, specifically #2. Thanks for your contributions! EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 00:22, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
@EoRdE6: OK, I think I got all of the external links out of the body. Thanks for all your help on this. Do you think it's ready to post? And is that something you can/will do? Or do I do it? Savannah38 (talk) 20:00, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
@Savannah38: Looks good, I have made the move, and you can edit it at the main page (Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation) if needed. Thanks for your contributions! EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 22:16, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Requesting COI editing help with a Finlandia vodka article

Hi, my name is Daria and I work for Brown-Forman, the owner of Finalndia vodka. I found that information on the current Finlandia page was slightly outdated, incomplete and lacking references. Therefore, I've taken the liberty of writing a more detailed draft article based on the original one.

As suggested by Wikipedia’s COI guidelines, I avoided editing the page myself. Instead, I kindly ask you – an impartial Wikipedian – to review my draft article. If you find the information useful and appropriate, please help me to add it to the existing Finalndia page.

Any feedback or insights are warmly welcomed. Thanks, Daria Undicca (talk) 10:24, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Request for Audemars Piguet

Hello, I worked on a draft on the Audemars Piguet page. I am looking for an editor to review it before editing it on the live page. Here's the link to the draft: User:Solarys-fr/Audemars Piguet If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask here or to contact me on my talk page. Thanks! Solarys-fr (talk) 13:52, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi, I looked at your page and I see a number of sources which do not meet wikipedia policies. see WP:NOTRELIABLE for example my-watchsite.com is an ecommerce site with not editorial content. Which you cite over 30 times.I would remove all of those then remove unsourced content to start. I put a welcome message and teahouse invitation on your talk page. In addition the article looks like a list of items and not encyclopedic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jadeslair (talkcontribs) 13:40, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello - I have been trying to create a page on 'Therapeutic Storytelling' but it keeps getting rejected (the latest one happened yesterday - 25th June)- as a counselor I use this a lot in my work and believe it should be on the Wikipedia website.

Can I pay someone to do an edit that will be accepted? If so how do I go about this and how much will it cost? Cheers,

Jasadam — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasadam (talkcontribs) 00:56, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi, i do not believe you can find a paid editor on here. Google it and see what you get there are paid editors but you can not pay for an article, you can pay for an editor to create one. That does not mean we will accept it. I would start by learning the rules. Wikipedia:Notability, Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources Jadeslair (talk) 01:24, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Help with MetLife?

Hi everybody, I've been working on behalf of MetLife (as part of my work with agency Beutler Ink) to propose improvements to their article over the last year. Though some positive changes have been made to the page by other editors, there are some new issues that have been introduced and some outstanding problems I would like to address in the article. In particular, I'm hoping to correct inaccuracies and bring the page inline with Wikipedia’s citation guidelines. I posted a note to the Talk page back in November, to summarize and clarify the outstanding requests, but so far I haven’t had any replies.

While there have been positive changes made to the page, it’s been difficult for me to get editors to respond to my requests or to discuss the changes being made to the page. Because of this, I am posting here in hopes that someone might be interested in reviewing the current issues and my requests. Due to my COI, I have not and will not be making any edits myself, instead I'm seeking editors to work with me on requested edits and proposed new text. I’m watching the Talk page and will gladly respond to any comments or questions there. Many thanks in advance, 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 19:56, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Second Request for Assistance

Hello,

I am attempting to have the HeinOnline article updated, I am working on behalf of HeinOnline, and I therefore declared my COI accordingly. After requesting edits several times, providing additional sources upon request, writing passages and sourcing them in both the talk tab of the HeinOnline page and my Sandbox at the request of a Wikipedia editor, I have not been able to effect any change in the HeinOnline page.

Link to HeinOnline article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HeinOnline Link to talk page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:HeinOnline

After months of no change, I requested assistance via this link, but did not hear any type of response.

The only information I would like to add is factual and informative, and not promotional. I modeled it after a similar publisher's (Westlaw) article. Note that several of the sources in Westlaw's article reference their own website, which is what I was initially criticized for doing in my first edit attempts.

Link to Westlaw article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westlaw

If there is someone else I can contact to help this procedure along, I would be grateful for any guidance you can provide.

I noticed a minor disagreement at the above article. The IP should not be accused of being a sockpuppet—IPs are welcome to edit! However, please respond to my comments on the article talk page at "01:48, 29 August 2016". To repeat, talk about article content, and do not talk about another editor. The other editor should do the same. Johnuniq (talk) 01:56, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Food and beverage service training

Saisupport represents Serving Alcohol Inc and posted the now-deleted article Servingalcohol. After I reverted some promotional external links and marked the article for speedy deletion, he contacted me by email with his concerns.

I agreed to investigate the possibility that Wikipedia may contain promotional material for ServSafe and related companies, in violation of policy. I'll look into it myself, but if anyone wants to help clean up this area of Wikipedia I'd appreciate it. —Guanaco 04:30, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
