Iratxe García Pérez (born 7 October 1974 in Barakaldo, Biscay) is a Spanish politician and Member of the European Parliament for the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party, part of the Party of European Socialists. She entered politics at the Spanish General Election of 2000 when she was elected to the Spanish Congress representing Valladolid Province.
In July 2014, she was elected chairwoman of the European Parliament Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM).
