Kurukshetra University (कुरुक्षेत्र विश्वविद्यालय) was established in 1956 in Kurukshetra in Haryana, India, situated 160 km from Delhi, and member of Association of Commonwealth Universities[1] The Kurukshetra University was the dream of the then Punjab Governor, Sir Chandeshwar Prasad Narayan Singh, a great Sanskrit scholar, who wanted to set up an institute to promote Indian culture and traditions.[2] Department of Sanskrit was the first and the only department in university when it was inaugurated by India's first President, Dr.Rajendra Prasad. Its campus is spread over 400 acres (1.6 km2).

Institute of Instrumentation Engineering

University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC) was established in 1976 by UGC initially as a Central Instrumentation facility at Kurukshetra University. Recently the name of the department has been changed as Institute of Instrumentation Engineering with USIC remaining as one of the constituents of the IIE. In 1995 for the first time in Haryana region AICTE approved 4-year B.Tech(Instrumentation) course was started and in the year 2006 M.Tech (Instrumentation) was started. In the Institute there are 2 Readers and 8 Lecturers as a faculty. 3 teachers hold Ph.D. degree, 1 have done M.Phil,6 M.Tech and 3 are NET/SLET qualified. They have long teaching and research experience and have the expertise in their field.. institute of mass communication and media technology

Institute of Management Studies

Famous as IMS KUK, the Institute was started in the year 2003 with the vision, to provide industry with well trained workforce and at the same time to help the society by providing world class entrepreneurs. The Institute is running a very special course which is MBA 5 Years Integrated Practice Oriented Program, in which students with a bent of mind for business administration are chosen after going through a rigorous process of selection which consists of entrance test, group discussion and personal interview. The USP of the course is that all students have to go for one month training after every semester and have to prepare a training report and come up with a presentation on it. This exercise keeps them in touch with industry.
