The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute is a school for the performing arts located at 115 East 15th Street in New York City, and at 7936 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, that is dedicated to teaching the techniques of method acting developed by Lee Strasberg. [1]

The Institute was founded in 1969 by Strasberg, teacher and artistic director at the famed Actors Studio. With a reputation for being very rigorous and holding high standards for its students, the Strasberg Institute is one of the most prestigious acting schools in the world. It also has a special program with the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where students can study in an 8 credit program. [2] The institute is currently under the artistic direction of Anna Strasberg [3].

Numerous students of the Strasberg Institute have gone on to distinguished careers throughout the entertainment industry, receiving nominations for Tonys, Oscars and Emmys.
