Speedy deletion nomination of Lars Mortimer[edit]

Hello Jerome501,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Lars Mortimer for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Swpbtalkcontribs 18:29, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rere Gocing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Disambiguation link notification for December 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Melchhamunda, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Padampur. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Olivier Lechner[edit]

The article Olivier Lechner has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league. Since the Monegasque national team is not a member of FIFA, its matches are not tier 1, meaning the article fails WP:NSPORT as well.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:52, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You apparently meant to create this at User:Jerome501/Biggest Jerks Ever, i.e. in your userspace. For this reason you should probably move it to the title with the colon. Everymorning talk 00:19, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Hadn't noticed; it's fixed. - Jerome501 (talk) 00:21, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non free content being used in template[edit]

Hi Jerome501. Please be advised that non-free content may only be used in the article namespace per WP:NFCC#9. This means that non-free flag images, such as File:Port Moody, BC flag.png, File:Penticton BC Flag.svg, File:Flag of New Westminster BC.svg and File:Port Coquitlam-flag.png, etc., should not be added to templates like Template:Country data New Westminster, Template:Country data Port Coquitlam, Template:Country data Port Moody, and Template:Country data Penticton. I have removed the aforementioned four flags from their respective templates, but it appears you've added quite a few more. I suggest that you gp back and check each flag you added to make sure it is not non-free and remove those that are yourself; Otherwise, they will be removed by myself or another editor. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here or at WP:MCQ. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:29, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Orphaned non-free image File:Flag of Northern Savonia.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Flag of Northern Savonia.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:52, 3 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Names[edit]

Please read Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names). If the article has a section on the name of the city, then translations are not to go in article's lead section. Please undo those edits where you have added the names of cities in various languages, where there is already a section on the name or etymology of the city in the article. A tag has been placed on Nico Brandenburger, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay.
