Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation.   • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license.   • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text.   • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as My Salad Fallen Down, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

I've added the wp:or template, but could've just as easily used vandalism or knowingly adding factually incorrect infomation. Also, given your previous warnings, it seems a final warning is appropriate. If you continue to disrupt the project in this manner, it's very possible that the next editor to fix your edits may report you to WP:ANI and just as possible you will be sanctioned as a result.
