subpages on jaguar

Hi. These statistics : https://pageviews.wmcloud.org/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&redirects=0&start=2022-10&end=2023-09&pages=South_American_jaguar%7CNorth_American_jaguar%7CJaguar may be one of several criteria for a decision how to deal with these 2 pages. Since most of their content is anyway a repetition of main page content, I would rather opt for redirecting than merging them. What do you think? BhagyaMani (talk) 07:52, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

Redirect or merge would be the same if they're just duplicating the main article, so I'd support either. SilverTiger12 (talk) 13:50, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
Will you propose then? I'll support. BhagyaMani (talk) 14:51, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
Sure; opened the discussion at Talk:Jaguar#Proposal: Merge/redirect North American jaguar and South American jaguar into this article. Happy editing, SilverTiger12 (talk) 14:57, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 7

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sivapardus, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Feline and Molar. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Pachypanthera. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Pachypanthera), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Why this [1], leaving it only within the dog scope?  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  07:56, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

WP Cats doesn't really cover non-cat-specific animal welfare/humane societies; I don't know about WP Dogs though. Happy editing, SilverTiger12 (talk) 13:07, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

Request for cladogram help

Hey SilverTiger, you mentioned you might be able to help with a cladogram. I am working on an article in my sandbox based on the cladogram on page 386 of this article. I really want it to include everything in the "Androsaemum-group", but haven't been able to figure out how to include the sections Triadenioides and Arthrophyllum and H. webbi. Any guidance you can give would be super helpful! Fritzmann (message me) 18:12, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

@Fritzmann2002:, I replicated the structure of the given group (the entire Androsaemum-group, C) from the cladogram you directed me to, though you may need to add links and piping as appropriate. Happy editing, SilverTiger12 (talk) 18:39, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

H. subg. Hypericum

Other Old World sections

"Androsaemum‑group"
sect. Arthropyllum

Hypericum pamphylicum

sect. Triadenioides
sect. Webbia

Hypericum canariense

sect. Bupleuroides

Hypericum bupleuroides

sect. Androsaemum

@SilverTiger12: that is incredibly helpful! Thank you so much. Please let me know if there's anything I can help you with in the future. Fritzmann (message me) 18:41, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

Copying/moving content within Wikipedia requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Icelandic Christmas folklore into Yule cat. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 16:25, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

Ah, I forgot about that. Copying within Wikipedia isn't something I normally do. Though, the text at Icelandic Christmas folklore was originally copied from the previous Yule Cat article, by the by. Happy editing, SilverTiger12 (talk) 16:53, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
