Reversion of edits without comment[edit]

Please see my comments in Talk:Rape#Motivation, reproduced here:

This edit reverted, without edit summary, my previous edits to the motivation section, in which I rewrote the summary of the various proposed motivations. Note that the only cited motivations are those of Paglia, yet the reversion inexplicably assigns greater weight to the uncited, unsourced motivations. I ask that this reversion be explained, and supported by reliable sources. Blackworm (talk) 06:25, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Rape article[edit]

I usually appreciate your work on this article and other articles related to it, but I had to revert you on that mass reordering. As I basically stated in my edit summary, the History section should always be first or somewhat close to first (as close to first as it can be without being too far down); your change put it very far down the article. And the most important stuff should come first. For example, the Sociobiological perspectives section should definitely not be as high as you put it. Also, I am not saying that the effects of rape are not as important as how rape is defined, but I am saying that how it is defined should be introduced first (though I know you left the Definitions section first), then the information on laws by jurisdiction since we are already on the topic of how the law defines rape and consent before we move on after that, then information on the history of rape, and then the other important information.

I am open to discussing all this with you, though. I suggest that you discuss things more on the talk pages of well-watched articles before making such drastic changes. Flyer22 (talk) 22:24, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Looking back at your changes to the order, I feel that you are correct to have put the Types and Motivation sections as high as you did; thus, I put those back up high (right after the Definitions section and before the Consent section). Flyer22 (talk) 22:51, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Forced Prostitution article[edit]

Hey can you reply to the discussion on the Forced Prostitution article on the Voluntary vs involuntary section to discuss if you are happy with the new content and if we can remove the POV message from the header. Thanks - and I hope you had a great Christmas. Eraserhead1 (talk) 15:35, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. I've quoted your post on my talk page on the Forced Prostitution talk page. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 14:13, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

February 2010[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Domestic violence. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. NeilN talk to me 03:54, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Puberty article[edit]

Hey, Skydeepblue. I meant to ask you this earlier: Regarding this edit made by you, are you against the line about time between menstrual periods not always being regular in the first two years after menarche? I point out that it was attributed to a reliable, high-quality source (as seen in that link).

As for the Tanner source, I believe it may be more outdated than it is inaccurate. Or maybe it is more so representative of girls in general. I mean, the source you added to replace that line was about girls in the United States. That said, I don't object to your removal of it. You did make that section more balanced by expanding the range and mentioning another country. Flyer22 (talk) 21:52, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't mean to remove the line about the periods not being regular in the first years. I deleted it by mistake, I only meant to correct the ages of menarche. I'll fix it. Skydeepblue (talk) 13:32, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Afghanistan[edit]

In this edit, why did you remove the recent Pajhwok Afghan News report? Life expectancy in Afghanistan rises past 60 years Did you bother to read that? CIA is usually not correct on issues like this. Can you please add the 64% because this is what the Afghan government claims. CIA does not do independent surveys in Afghanistan.--182.177.23.78 (talk) 23:06, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

I think you should ask for this on the talk page of the Afghanistan article and see what the consensus is about how much weight we should give to various claims by different sources. It is very difficult with Afghanistan, because different sources claim different things, and most of the claims, regardless who makes them, should be interpreted with caution. Skydeepblue (talk) 09:45, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

Marriage[edit]

You deleted not only my "wordings". I do not known why You wrote, that I add all of this. A marriage in the ontological sens can not be terminated by divorce. Divorce is a law's term. Wizikj (talk) 21:43, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

I am not sure what you mean. Could you be more clear? A marriage can legally be terminated by divorce in all countries except Philippines and Vatican. Also, if you want to add something to the article you need sources (WP:V). If you think there are problems with the article you can discuss them on the talk page of the article Marriage.02:26, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 20[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Girl, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jakun (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

User page creation[edit]

I see that you finally created a user page. Long overdue, LOL. A lot of people around here, including me, are wary of red-paged users because that red user page signals "new" or "inexperienced" and therefore "possibly problematic." That's the reason that some WP:Sockpuppets create a blue link for their user page as soon as they register a new account. Flyer22 (talk) 04:02, 4 July 2013 (UTC)

Actually, I see that Gwillhickers created your user page when awarding you with the "Novice Editor" badge. It's usually not good for an editor to create another editor's user page, even when awarding that editor something. But if you've noticed that your user page is now a blue link, and why that is, it's obvious that you don't mind. Flyer22 (talk) 04:15, 4 July 2013 (UTC)

FYI[edit]

Just pointing out Skydeepblue that the info you added here is not from the sources given, Black Feminist Thought & The Feminist Standpoint Theory Reader: Intellectual and Political Controversies (on specific pages). You've created a list, a very complete one that while true needs verification. You may need individual sources or one for the whole list, but it needs to be sourced. Feminism is written to a high quality standard all information must conform to these standards, sourcing is the bare minimum--Cailil talk 12:22, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Also the sentence/paragraph you edited was about standpoint feminism. Is the information you added about that vein of feminist thought or feminist activism in general? If the latter a new sentence is needed. I'm reverting not because you are wrong with the idea of adding such info, but because you need to do this list in another way (and not source it to Hill Collins' and Hardy's books; but if there's another book that covers all of that do let me know)--Cailil talk 12:39, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

It's not directly copied - it is a long quote from a presidential decree that is taken from there (obviously the quote can't be changed).Skydeepblue (talk) 04:17, 23 October 2013 (UTC)04:16, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Unodc - Egypt[edit]

It was clearly provided on edit summary that Egypt's stats are disputed. About 20,000 rapes per year, according to government.[6] And about 200,000 per year, according to the independent human right bodies. Having Egypt with such low estimate is contradictory, you can add another country. OccultZone (Talk) 02:42, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
