[edit]

Please stop spamming editors asking them to review your draft article. As the template on the draft states "This may take 2 months or more, since drafts are reviewed in no specific order". Trying to jump the queue by posting messages to random editors' talk pages is not helpful.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:08, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Avoid COI's

[edit]

Read both WP:AUTO & WP:COI, for a detailed explanation, but in summary; do not create articles about yourself or people you are familiar with as invariably you’d be incapable of writing in a non promotional manner, see (WP:NPOV) & may repeatedly make the error of creating non notable articles as you are currently doing with the Draft:BJ Sam draft article which has been declined almost 4 times now. The onus is on you to to read & understand Wikipedia's notability requirement first before attempting to create any articles in the future. A note of caution would be this; If your existence as an editor revolves around advocacy for a particular topic alone & more troubling; a biographical/autobiographical one, you might be blocked from editing altogether. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited B. J. Sams (American football), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jermaine Lewis. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:11, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at List of Nigerian gospel musicians, you may be blocked from editing.
Further, do not attempt to change the subject of an existing article, as you did at B. J. Sams (American football).
Thank you.

Do you have a conflict of interest, please don't write about yourself, your friends or relatives and read the guidance below:

  • When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
  • You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
  • There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:33, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

In addition to the COI/UPE concerns, you also appear to have been engaging in sockpuppetry with User:Aniekan7777--a successful unblock request will require that you explain your activity with this other account and commit to obeying our policy against sockpuppetry. signed, Rosguill talk 23:10, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
