Sakshama

please unprotect the page Sakshama, when wikipedia is having articles for techfest, techniche and other technical fetivals. then why not a article for sakshama, a technical festival which was started from a small town of india in the year 2007 and now it is going to celebrate it's third version and it has been said as no #1 technical festival of north india. so i want to write a page for it please unprotect it. you can find more at http://sakshama.org or you can find the same communities on orkut and other social web Aashish K Mahaswary (talk) 15:42, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can ignore this; I have pointed the user to WP:RFPU/WP:DRV. He didn't know how to reach an admin and so left talk messages for a page-full of recent changes editors. Stifle (talk) 16:04, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update from JSR

I have been trying to bring up mining in India to a fully sourced version and have made some progress. Make sure to take a look whenever you find time :-) JSR 0562 20:54, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New user - small problems

Hi, my name is George and I made an account on the English version a few minutes ago. I am a amateur photographer and I will like to put some pictures where I think they are needed. I tried to put one on a page about a village in Netherlands, Eckelrade and apparently I have don't have the rights so far. I would like to know if U can help me in this problem. I have an account on the Romanian version with the same name. I also have a page where I put photos that I like http://haiducul.deviantart.com/ This is just to check me out. I hope I will have an answer soon. All the best, George

P.S. By the way, I appealed to U because I saw U started the article about Eckelrade. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Haiducul (talkcontribs) 13:29, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Academy

Today afternoon, I shall be participating in the deliberations of Wikipedia Academy [1], Chennai. For this purpose, I shall be using a different user name also: GBPONDYCHERRY. With this username, I may be editing sandboxes or other sub-user pages of User:Bhadani. Cheers! --Bhadani (talk) 02:41, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was really a nice experience to interact with around 25 persons interested to learn more about Wikipedia. I thank the organizers. --Bhadani (talk) 17:53, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hats off to your efforts here. There ought to be a Wikipedia page similar to Wikipedia:School and university projects to track the newcomers from these academy meetups. This way others can pitch in to motivate them through the first steps of editing here. I would like to know your thoughts on this. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 02:30, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gr8 to see you have inspired potential wikipedians in Chennai. I was also planning to attend but had to attend to some other work during that time at the last moment. Anyways Thanks a lot for your efforts -- Tinu Cherian - 13:34, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update from JSR

With Best Wishes, JSR 0562 13:36, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would appreciate your guidance

Hi

As a new wikipedian,I was keen to create two articles on a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada . Both are highly respected societies but I am trepidated to note that there has been some debate as to whether their members merit sufficient notability!!!To my way of thinking they do but I would welcome your advice as an adminsitrator (specially so from Chennai).

Regards

Updated DYK query On 6 December, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Sandra Samuel, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Edits required on 'Martial law'

The Indian section in the article on martial law is irrelevant and inappropriate; you've commented on the discussion page but just wanted to bring it to your notice again. you're way more senior than most of us here and can obviously do something quicker. thanks! --Sayitaintsojoe (talk) 19:15, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I just saw and recollected my comments on the talk page of Martial law: comments contents contained under the section India is really ridiculous and reveal the highest order of ignorance as well as point of view. This aspect of the Project is its weakest aspect (I mean consensus at the cost of encyclopedic contents) as people who know the correct position face assault if they try to do modifications, and the bogey of consensus comes into play; and consensus is sometimes built in mafia-style by group of editors who drive away good editors. As such, I have generally surrendered myself, and have stopped effective editing of Wikipedia! --Bhadani (talk) 17:11, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just for reference. --Bhadani (talk) 17:16, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Few minutes back I edited Parichha page, its a town near Jhansi in UP, but on saving it showed something else, somehow I managed to revet my edit but still it is showing Nazi flag (strange). Pl check. Thanks, Vjdchauhan (talk) 11:18, 26 December 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Dysart, Fife and Markinch articles

i have done some work on improving the Dysart article and i'm wondering if you can give it a grading on the talk page (it is currently at stub status but is probably now at start/C status now). could you do the same on the Markinch article. i'm not experienced enough to do this on my own. How to use this top Indian Wikipedian list for effective collaboration

Hi, I have added a section 'How to use this list for effective collaboration' on User:Tinucherian/Indians WP page to see if we can put this list to really good use, pl give your thoughts on the same and we can take it further from there. Hi. I am, as of today, a new Wikipedia contributor (aspirational contributor). I live in Yoga in Tokyo and want to contribute articles about things in japan, such as tiny villages no one has ever heard of. I don't even know how you will respond to me--on my own talk page? I would even love to meet up F2F. Please advise. Daddy Phatsax (talk) 03:04, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

yezidi and their Indian origin

There is a person who despite many links and reference that I have given continues to edit my writings (I have no problems with that) and is threatening me with withdrawal of my editing privilege. The person's attitude is found vindictive by me. Please help. I have written by verbatim quoting various sites including official yezidi sites that there is evidence of the origin of the yezidi faith in India. Please help. I am writing to me as you welcomed me to Wikipedia. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 04:21, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Um... you are completely misstating the entire interaction we have had. I have made no threats and have no power to threaten anyone. In addition, you are not responding to my carefully explained concerns about the reliability of your sources and the fact that your work contains significant levels of original research and original synthesis. Ogress smash! 04:48, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The said smash! is a smart operater and indulges in bullying by using pronouns like we, and alludes to write on behalf of Wikipedia. When she failed to intimidate me and I raised the stink she gives explainations. After series of vandalism she has applied for edit protection and got it. She has a much better hang of Wikipedia and therefore I am no match for her. Please help me. Please refer to the following links for details. Please spare your time. Wikipedia looks like it has a anti-India slant, see POK, all because we are all silent. I'll put the links together hold on.

Yogesh Khandke (talk) 05:47, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Um, I try to be polite and assume good faith, but now you are patently lying. Ogress smash! 06:06, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Bhadani, Every thing is there on yezidi talk page, though for the moment I do not need you to do anything except perhaps add to the discussion and if it makes sense to you restore the section Yogesh Khandke —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.195.22.32 (talk) 23:59, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed

Dear Bhadani,

Please refer to the article "Left-wing fascism in India" authored by me. It has been nominated for deletion. Please let me know your comments. Let me know if it is really worth deletion as it is made out to be. Michonuri (talk) 09:20, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Four long years rolled by but I could add only a little value to the Project. However, I am confident that I shall be able to do some real contributions here ... currently, I am fully engaged in my official assignments. Anyway, I profusely thank you for wishing me and reminding me that I have completed four years in that company of the Project and fellow wikipedians. I thank you all. Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 18:01, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I hardly think that is little value to the project! (And it's only a partial list!) Anyway, you're very welcome, and thank you for all your hard work. LITTLEMOUNTAIN5 review! 21:57, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
