6years, why didn't you answer {{u|Slatersteven}} question? I've edited on the other side of debates with SS and found them to be very reasonable. I'm sure their question isn't out of the blue. [[User:Springee|Springee]] ([[User talk:Springee|talk]]) 00:23, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, Imadethisstupidaccount, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to complete the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit the Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! —PaleoNeonate – 12:19, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My revert

I reverted you because going by your username and the fact that you have only 11 edits I assumed this account was a throwaway of a blocked user or a troll. I apologize if this is not the case.-- Pawnkingthree (talk) 14:16, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Pawnkingthree: I understand. No harm done. Thank you for the polite followup :) Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 14:18, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Pawnkingthree: Well apparently someone decided my attempt to follow the processes listed on wikipedia counts as "vandalism" and deleted the request page so that is just sad. :( Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 14:25, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Imadethisstupidaccount, you are invited to the Teahouse!

Other accounts

The question raised at AFD is valid, it is odd that you kept straight in at AFD. Do you (or have you even had) another account?Slatersteven (talk) 17:53, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I was asked to make an account. I didn't want to but it was required to start the one on the page when I saw it and realized how long it had waited without sourcing or notability. Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 17:57, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox

Sorry I have no access to such information. You will have to speak to the Admin that did the delete, or recreate. Koncorde (talk) 18:02, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Koncorde:I would prefer to have someone else to pass the request given that the deleting admin seems very touchy and aggressive and marked my attempt to follow procedure as being vandalism, which I do not consider it to be. But if you do not feel comfortable with that I understand. Also would it be appropriate for me to place the Template:Canvassed markers with the commenters known to have been canvassed into the AfD discussion or should that be requested to be done by someone else? I defer to your judgement on this. Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 23:26, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I can ask the admin, but without knowing what was on that page to warrant it being deleted I am obviously wary of doing so (as much as I would like to take your word for it!). And as for canvassed tags, I would leave it. The discussion is burning down now. An admin will review and take into consideration all evidence and there are several experienced admin / editors on that article already. Koncorde (talk) 23:41, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Koncorde:I am fine with someone reviewing what was on the page and telling me what warranted it being deleted if that is needed. I would rather know instead of having to guess what it was. I had included a copy and paste of Uncle G's initial post from the ANI discussion and then had added notes on how specific accounts matched the pattern Uncle G describes of the accounts by the Trasel, accounts like User:KLoWnTaZ as described by Cullen [1]. Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 23:48, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't worry about it then. Action has been taken, and the other SPA were as much victims as anyone else. Being used as shills by someone for their own sense of grandiosity. I doubt any further action will be taken against the other accounts at this point due to their low edit amounts etc barring them actually committing some egregious error on Wikipedia itself (such as calling everyone wankers). Koncorde (talk) 23:54, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. I will take your advice and let it be then. Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 00:00, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to bother you @Koncorde: but there appears to be more and I don't know how it would best be addressed at this point. More canvassed people, more hate on his facebook page. [2], [3], [4], [5] and a legal threat [6]. Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 02:08, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Again, I wouldn't worry and would pass this information directly to Doug Weller or one of the other admin in the main discussion and let them decide if further action is required. We know there is canvassing, we know Mike is pulling strings off Wikipedia. None of this is really new. Koncorde (talk) 07:55, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have passed the information to Doug Weller. Thank you again. Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 12:20, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, 6YearsTillRetirement, suggests disruptive intent.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Would it not have been more polite to simply suggest a username change first? I will make the request.

Decline reason:

You forgot to pick a new username. The above instructions explain how. You also need to address the concern your account name suggests disruptive intent. Yamla (talk) 18:46, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Renamed. won't try to understand all this. sorry for the inconvenience.   Dlohcierekim (talk) 20:04, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla: I do not know how I am supposed to address your question, you can see above and in my edits that I am asking for advice from experienced editors and trying to follow the policies and not be disruptive. Had I been politely asked to request a user name change I would have done it as soon I was informed. @Koncorde: was this a concern I needed to know about? Imadethisstupidaccount (talk) 18:49, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have renamed you. Another admin will review your unblock request. --Yamla (talk) 18:50, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I will try to be patient. I know it is not your fault but it feels like someone listed me as a form of retaliation or bullying. 6YearsTillRetirement (talk) 19:17, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also @Yamla: if you feel like it please feel free to delete that sandbox page, @Koncorde: suggested using it but then it turned out to not needed. 6YearsTillRetirement (talk) 19:23, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Err, I mean it could be seen as disruptive in some way because it's somewhat facetious or snarky - but I have never seen an account blocked for something so innocuous a "joke". I personally think as you have been editing / contributing mostly at talks and group pages it may have popped up on someone's radar somehow. I wouldn't worry about it, so long as it's resolved now. Koncorde (talk) 20:13, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Koncorde: well now I have someone accusing me of leaving bogus signatures. This is really frustrating. 6YearsTillRetirement (talk) 04:53, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Suggest you relax. Easy to make mistakes in active discussions if you click reply before checking User ID's. Koncorde (talk) 14:37, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, per above and below, calm down and relax. Make your vote. State your case per policy. Leave others to stake their own claims. Let them have their conspiracy of thought. You are liable to be identified as an SPA, and be seen as a disruptive influence by a passing admin if you continue to argue and or engage with others (regardless of who starts it) if it is perceived not to be WP:CIVIL. Koncorde (talk) 16:31, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

outing

Your latest edit to the Kratman deletion page looks like outing. If a user does not say a YouTube page is theirs (here) we cannot say oit is because someone says it is.Slatersteven (talk) 16:12, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

protection policy

Hi, I noticed you mentioning requesting protection for several articles based on potential vandalism concerns due to off-wiki comments. I just wanted to let you know that page protection isn't applied preemptively, only in response to actual vandalism/edit-warring. You can read more about it at WP:SEMI. Welcome!

Hello, 6YearsTillRetirement,

You have had a rocky beginning here. An unfortunate editor name choice raised suspicions that you were a blocked editor who was returning to cause trouble with a sockpuppet account. Persistent comments at an AfD also might make some editors think that you are a SPA, Single Purpose Account, who is not here to contribute to the general project. It's not possible to start anew but if you want some unasked for advice, it would be to spend some of your time not involving yourself in issues under dispute but instead on some general editing of articles.

There are over 6 million articles here and most of them could use some help....copyediting, a better reference for some claim, bad writing can be improved. If you spend more time on improving articles and less on article deletion discussions or noticeboards, you will be seen as a worthwhile addition and good contributor which will not only result in some improved articles but you will find that the heat has been taken off of you.

There is an endless amount of work to do around here and we are always in need of help and new editors to get to work. Please rethink where you choose to spend your time and instead think of where you can make the biggest contribution. And if you have any specific questions about editing, I highly recommend the Teahouse which was invaluable to me when I stopped editing as an IP and created a user account 6 years ago. Good luck! Liz Read! Talk! 01:27, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is why Wikipedia isn't worth it. Classic abuser good cop / bad cop behavior. Come back and they will just do this over and over again, be rude as crap to you and then send someone like liz to reel you back in until they are tired of abusing you. Want my advice? Stay gone.

@Liz: I don't know what you are really trying to tell me by your comment. After being threatened and the names I've been called, the repeated accusations of bad faith and false accusations that I was somehow targeting conservative authors (UNTRUE)[7], and even having someone call my workplace thinking that they were going to get somewhere harassing me in my personal life, I don't think Wikipedia's admins did enough to safeguard their community and I don't think half of them even care about it. 6YearsTillRetirement (talk) 04:48, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Required notice regarding editing articles related to American Politics

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
