- 7 – Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan performed the national anthem, and The Weeknd performed the halftime show during Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

- – Liquid Tension Experiment will release their first album in 22 years, Liquid Tension Experiment 3.
- – Tomahawk will release their first album in eight years, Tonic Immobility.
- 31 – The Industrial Strength Tour, featuring Ministry, KMFDM and Front Line Assembly, will begin at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle, Washington; the tour was initially scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020 but was postponed to this spring, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3][4]

- 9 – Taylor Swift will release Fearless (Taylor's Version) a re-recorded version of her 2008 album of the same name. Swift announced her intention to re-record her first six albums after her master recordings were sold to Scooter Braun.[5]
- 16 – SHAED will release their first full-length album in five years, No Other Way.
- – Cannibal Corpse will release their first album in four years, Violence Unimagined.
- – The Offspring will release their first album in nine years, Let the Bad Times Roll.
- 23 – Porter Robinson will release his first album in seven years, Nurture.
- – Dinosaur Jr. will release their first album in five years, Sweep It Into Space.
- 30 – Flotsam and Jetsam will begin their Demolition of North America tour at the Club Red in Tempe, Arizona; this tour had previously been postponed from 2020 to this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A new album is expected to coincide with the tour.[6]
- – Manchester Orchestra will release their first album in four years, The Million Masks of God.
- – Dropkick Murphys will release their first album in four years, Turn Up That Dial.
June
- 3 – After a one-year postponement, Rage Against the Machine will begin their first full-length tour in over 20 years at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas.[7]
- 11 – AFI will release their first album in four years, Bodies.
- 19 – The Stadium Tour, featuring Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, will begin at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee; due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour was postponed to this summer, originally set to take place in summer 2020.[8]
July
- 17 – Kiss will play its last-show ever in their hometown of New York City, where they had formed 48 years earlier.[9]
