Aussie film template

Hi Wise hope things are good. I didn't see the message about the Aussie template until the other day when I arhcived my talk page - I was trying to get a standard for all template but if there was a problem with the image then I guess its absolutely fine. Its just I don't want all the templates to be altered. The country film lists are going well I have begun sorting out the Indian film lists -hard work but they are beginning to look good -I also started many new country lists -I think we have just about all the notable film producers - now the task is to document film history by country to completion!!. Check out the progess on Lists of Indian films. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 13:35, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its kind of grown on me anyway -I was just a little concerned that people might complain about the size of the flag in film articles. I am sorting out Bollywood films first!! I wish Indian cinema would do more to help the lists. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 13:51, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thats odd yesterday I created severla articles on spaghetti western chaarcters including Angel Eyes and El Indio. I added Category:Fictional Western characters. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 14:58, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thats my favourite film of all time! The part with the Jewish orchestra and the bridge is genius. I have it as part of the Dollars trilogy. I as a film buff also have Once Upon a time in the West and Fistful of Dynamite. Once Upon a time in the West also a superb film - I consider the score of this film by Morricone the greatest of all time. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:07, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you haven't got them you should definately get the Dollars trilogy of films and Once upon a time in the west. Many of CLint Eastwood's films of the late 1960s and early 70s are a must - I have them all - Hang em high , sister sara, and even High Plains Drifter -have you seen this? It is quite a disturbing film ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:12, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Eastwood and Wayne are my favourite actors. Yesterday I watched The Lawless Frontier dvd from 1934!! -terrible editing ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:14, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have Django too - incidentally I added the info box and image to Sergio Corbucci yesterday -I'd like to get more of his films. That site looks great - its amazing how many specialist wiki sites are spawning! Rod Steiger in fistful -obviously modelled on Tuco. I have a major crush on Claudia Cardinale - I have her image as a screensaver -one sexy women -something in her eyes!! I also love the character actors you get -small time actors who keep appearing in many films e.g Enzo Petito in GBU - I stubbed most of the actors in this film including Bill Carson!!! . I did discuss with User:Prolog about setting up WikiProject Westerns a branch of films or Wikiproject Films/Westerns and I had a number of people interested but haven't had the time to propose it. Would you be interested?

Also are there many older Thai films missing from the list? - it seems like older Thai films aren't too well documented. All the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The score in High Plains freaks me out -the discords and the setting and the ruthless bull whipping and that thing about paiting the town red -not exactly a comedy ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:27, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Film reel deletions

HI Wise - its silly but the commons have decided to get shot of all our lovely film reels. What a blow! As the image is in the templates on all the country lists I think I'll begin modifying them to look like the Template:Brazilianfilmlist with the flag/cinema icon in the top in big - the commons can't delete those. However this means I may have quite a list of icons that need to be manufactured. Is is possible you could gradually create the remainder? Almost forgot - I have lkkned the Thai actor and directors lists with the films I hope this is ok? Regards ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 19:35, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am thinking actually - I agree with you that maybe the deletion of the old film reels might be a good chance to revamp with some better looking public domain images . I am very pleased with my adpations of the country templates -makes the lists look more attractive, I think. As for icons 128px this is just about perfect - I have been putting them 120px in the templates anyway - the Thai template is a bit smaller than the others though -so it fits the contours of the page. I'll draw the list of missing icons now -it would be super if you could create one or two a day -after all we have until July 1 when it gets deleted. Plus I am sure there is some way we can come up with a cool main film reel. Regards ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 10:02, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK heres the missing European ones for starters (one or two we might have like slovakia but I'm not sure) ther's no need for icons on countries that redirect to the List of Eurpoean films and have small lists - only those which have a seperate article:

Belarus, Bosnia, Cyprus, East and West Germany, Luxembourg, Greenland, Macedonia, Malta, SLovakia, Slovenia ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 10:22, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Those are done. West Germany was the same flag as modern Germany. Let me know what others are needed. — WiseKwai 04:17, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great work Wise - I bow my bald evil head down to you! Here are the others except Africa - Bolivia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua , Panama, Paraguay, Peru?, , Venezuela, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico. Surpisingly we don't have the Ireland image also.

Remaining European ones are Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro , Switzerland and the Ukraine and Yugoslavia.

Then rmeaining Asian ones which have there own lists are: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Georgia, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Saudi, Syria, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates, Bhutan Bangladesh?, Kazakhstan, Krygzstan, Nepal and Uzbekistan. It might be a good idea also to create regional icons such as Europeanfilm.png with Europe in the icon - these would be used on the cinema articles to replace the film reel perhaps. Well done anyway ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 07:58, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi wise - just wondering if you got around to creating any more icons yet. I have been developing the Japanese and Hong Kong film lists today -they are grossly underdeveloped! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 13:41, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

THats fine -phew! Those lists are hard work -I can't focus on them too long. -if I could get even ten people to add one or two films to the lists a day they would be completed very quickly. There are like 300 odd film members. I need an army!!! Luckily there is you who maintains the Thai list and one or two helping on the others but no where near enough if you think of the scale of this site. All the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 16:26, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Concert for BD Fair Use

You're welcome. All I really did was to add the "illustrate an educational article" bullet point. I am not sure how important that is. I was chasing down a bunch of fair use disputed warnings and to tell the truth, I didn't spend much time on it because you had already been there. Like you, I have some saved text for fair use rationales. You can see one example at Image:FlowersDirtCover.jpg if you are interested. — John Cardinal 13:06, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats Mr Wise!! Hey you want to give me a hand filling in some of the List of American films - its a big task but achievable and will be superb when finished. I wish a few people would get together at the film project as I consider them very important for the project See American films of 1945 and American films of 1982 with E.T!!!! I preferred to get them up and running and them complete them my task in the nesxt weeks will be to try to finish the US lists - with the tables people can see the use of them ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 18:21, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HI wise. Oh yes this is why I tagged each one as under construction as I haven't had the time to sift through them yet. You will find many films that need taking out - particularly for later years. There will be many British films. I did begin doing each page fully like the early 40s but I got tired of the slow process - I wanted to get the pages up and running to give me something to work with. I have checked imdb bank of US films by year and it wasn't as huge as I thought -the lists should be able to be compiled realistically. I have high ambitions for the lists which shouold became an extremely useful source for film -maybe I should tell them all at the film project for people to chip in - even if a few people just added a few details to one or two films a day it would be of great help. It also gives me a chance to check articles and adjust them with categories etc and increase my knowledge of film!!! Hey what setting do you have your PC on? I have chanaged my wikipedia setting to the blue setting with the blue strip across the top - its like a whole new website and looks terrific ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 19:11, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did you meet those actors? I wish we could get so many more images for the films -they really improve the article quality immensely. -but I guess I'm artistic and am attracted by colour. PLoy's a great looking article. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 19:15, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi yes I mentioned it to another user who I think has seen a consensus is needed. To be honest I don't really care -there is far more important things to be concerned with on here and life in general -the gold does look fine but I thought the silver might make it look a little more polished thats all. Hey have you seen what someone has done to John Wayne's filmography? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 20:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know. Pretty great aren't they (ezcept the toxic yellow) -I'm thinking this set the example for how filmographies should be. These are far more professional looking rather than some scruffy haphazard lists you see in even major actor filmographies - and they provide information as well. ONe of our goals should be also to set a standard table format for filmographies. This is important in my view. Hey great work on those South-East Asian portals you are producing -stuff I would never have a clue was happening back here in England. Thats the beauty of the global network! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 20:24, 13 June 2007 (UTC) .[reply]

Hiya, I've been too busy with new baby (and other things) to devote much time to wiki'ing recently, but I'm slowly getting back to normal, so expect me to be contributing a little more again. Won't be as a active as I was previously, but will do what I can. Best. --Bwmodular 08:19, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Happy to Help

No worries... I've been into Southeast Asian and East Asian film for the past decade or so and also have formal education in cinema. So I'm glad to help expanding/revising articles in that realm. If there's anything that needs attention, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'd be happy to help. ask123 16:34, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thats great Wise - I was surprised we didn;t have the Irish one but I have checked the country has only produced a small number of films most have been British. Today I finally found the effort to begin completing List of Argentine films:1970s which was a gaping hole. I can't concentrate on the US lists too long it gives me a headache!!! I've just been stubbing some German villages as a break! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 22:16, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:GimmeshelterDVDcover.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:GimmeshelterDVDcover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:22, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HI Wise. I have been getting consistent badgering for rationales on all my older film posters and screenshots. I have come up with a solution with several of the image tagging people - I have created Template:Filmrationale. Every time you upload an image you can just {{ }} it and it will provide it automatically for you -I know you always write the rationale anyway but it is easier this way. Feel free to modify it . What do you think? I have also added a little to the Thai list - a handful of images highlighting the bigger films should be fine -I have been doing this to the other lists. I have also addapted the Americanfilmlist template and begun building it. Please please help if you have any spare time - first I need to put the films in the tables then fill in and complete at a later date ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 11:36, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes some people tend to do things backwards on wikipedia - often the least important things get done first!!! I hope it will be useful tool for the image police also to stop pestering everyone over film images -this way they can add it without telling everyone a million times they haven't given a full rationale. Hope you are well. Regards ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 12:03, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Muy excelente amigo. Tu trabajo es brilliante. Good. Hey wise I've added an image to Rooster Cogburn and the character page I noticed you started. I am also 2/3 thhe way of altering the John Wayne filmo so the colour is silver rather than bright yellow - it looks great now. Regards ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 10:33, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HI wise. A number of things I wanted to discuss. First I am considering proposing some new parameters for the info box film -these include art director, casting, genre, costume and possibly stunt coordination (the main directors) -the latter two though I don't consider as important. There are many people in film who feature prominently in the filming process but their biographies often don't get covered even when they are prominent figures in behind the scenes film making. One such figure off hand I can think of is Robert M.? Haas -an art director -check it out he performed many of the classic films you can think of of the 1930s and 1940s Maltese Falcon etc etc. Second. i have created the template:Filmbiorationale for use on deceased film bio articles. It is a major bonus when uploading images as I regularly do. I will create a general biorationale template also to cover all people who died between 1923 and present where a free alternativ eis not available.

Thirdly as the main film icon is about to expire I think its nearly time to discuss which new images can be created. For the main regional cinema templates e.g European cinema it would be a great if you could create regional icons with the continent maps like the country templates. Only 5 or so images would be needed I think. We would need Latin America, North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 13:41, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fourth - as I fill in the American lists one of my priorities now will be to try to complete the filmographies and the missing films of all the "iconic" actors/actresses -too many red links is not a good look for wikipedia. I started on Clark Gable yesterday and had cleaned up some work on the Joan Crawford films. The John Wayne films should also be complete. 13:52, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

I think it looks OK (but I can see why it might not appeal to you) -it was a suggestion- but what alternative can you think of to replace the main film icon -it'll be left blank soon? You have to be kidding about the images -its ridiculous that people are even considering removing all images - prt of films in visual identifying the characters otherwise we are left with just pure text. If it is the case then over 100,000 articles including albums will be under attack. I sincerely hope this is not the case. If a full rationale is given i do't think there should be any objections. As for taking a break -much deserved -I am cutting down my contribution at present also. Hope you are well and not too tired of wikipedia its been good working and communicating with you . Thanks for all your hard work anyway All the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 10:16, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its a shame about the images. Even an image from 1923 is considered copywrighted? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:31, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Have you seen the Cinema of the UNited States page? No images at all!! Strangely not even a public domain image of Charlie Chaplin from 1915 is permitted. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:38, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not to worry. Your probably right about the usage though unfortunately even though a major part of understanding film is inevitably visual. -its like discussing a painting with no picture!!. However I strongly hope that one image for each of the American film years will be permitted.

I've just seen your cinemas in Thailand and location articles -excellent work!!! Nice going -hopefully other countries would have similar quality lists. This year has gone dreadfully fast hasn't it - can you beleive its July already!!! Anyway I've now announced the US films to the project -one of two users have begun adding to the lists. now the pages are set up so hopefully others will follow. Did I also tell you about Template:Filmbioratiobale for deceased actors? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:50, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I was wondering about those good looking copywrighted images on the Thailand page. If I was you I'd remove the De Niro one and leave just the scaramanga one -after all the island was named after the franchise so it clearly had a major impact on the country -one image really should be allowed as with the American lists. The John Wayne lists are excellent but strangely even though the commons has about 40 images of the film I tried to put two or three images in the Searcher article but one user dislikes them even though they identified the main characters so we are left with a bare article!!!! The link is Template:Filmbiorationale I also created an identicial one Template:Biorationale for all dead people born after 1923!!! I hope they will help ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 16:05, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad you like the Portal:Amphibians and Reptiles. Feel free to use or expand it.

Re:List. That's an interesting idea and I think it might help motivate editors to improve the Thailand-related lists. Maybe the name "Selected list of the month" would be better than "Featured list" as most of the lists we are going to present won't be featured lists. The real problem is the monthly update. Do we have a lot of good lists? I'm a bit afraid by the fourth or fifth month we'd have ran out of lists of good quality especially if there're no new lists coming in. This is exactly the problem I had with Portal:Cambodia which ran out of good articles and pictures, and I ended using so-so stuff that I wasn't pround of. But we can give still it a try first anyway. I think it's worth trying. I will go ahead and set up the section soon, maybe today, if you don't mind. --Melanochromis 19:56, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Selected list" is a better word choice. If you're willing to set it up and try it, that would be awesome. I'll try to keep my eye out for lists that are worthy of promotion. — WiseKwai 12:06, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HI just wondering if you know of the guy I'm talking about Lim Kay Siu. Any idea where I can get more info on him? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 14:58, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow it was really filmed in Malaysia. For a film about a Thai king that does seem odd - I thought I remembered not seeing Anna and the King on your list of films made in Thailand -I guess film companies can't always get their own way - Tomorrow Never Dies was intended to be filmed in Saigon and Man with the golden gun was intended to be filmed in Cambodia but both were filmed in Thailand!!!! I'm sure if you saw him you'd recognize him instantly - I can't even find a google image of him - in fact I think he seriously looks the real deal to play a bond villain =he'd make a superb eastern asian blofeld in a new bond film. He played the nasty North Korean in Night Watch (1995 film) also. I must admit I was quite impressed by him. He looks quite evil and could picture him with my Mr Biggleworth cat -I thought there might be a place for him at SPECTRE.

I am not 100% certain of his nationality - all the evidence I could find would suggest Singapore rather than Hong Kong. Once again imdb is a failure -no birth dates, nothing!! I've been taking it easy the last few days and may have a complete wiki break soon -my enthusiasm does fluctuate from time to time. Hope you are well ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 16:48, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah great you found a source!! I was right about Singapore but ten years out with the age estimation - I guess the bald head and evil expression makes him look older!! Cheers ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 17:09, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thai films

Hi wise I started Ghost of Mae Nak -seen it? -it looks like a great film!!! do you know if it has a thai title or is this the universal title. Also is there a WikiProject Thailand tag?? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:39, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm feeling oriental today! I also came across Butterfly Man which I started - but I can't seem to adjust the poster size. Maybe I'm just tired. Anyway there are a few names -directors, cinematographers which can be stubbed tomorrow. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:57, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi wise. Sorry to keep bothering you but I recently joined WikiProject Cambodia which I believe you have some involvement in or associated with. I started Khao-I-Dang and Narath Tan a Cambodian sculptor and stubbed a Cambdodian actress. However I am uncertain over the image for Khao-I-Dang as it is an image of the camp taken before it was shut and is therefore unreplaceable but is still copywrighted I think. Any idea of the what licensing should be used? Also aren't Cambodian articles tagged with both the Cambodia and South-East Asia projects??. I hope you're pleased with my contribution in this area -thanks for helping my Thai articles ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 12:20, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK thanks. I am surprised that WP Thailand doesn't exist yet. If you are thinking about its establishment I'll be second to out my name down in support -I want you to know this. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 12:39, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Neilyoungheartofgoldprairiew.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 22:38, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great to have you on board and I love how our Cambodian cinema coverage has tripled in a couple of days. Well done for getting the first Sihanouk film onto Wikipedia in particular. With you and Blofeld around, my article assessment drive will never end. I think I'm just managing to assess more articles than you two are writing this week :) Let me know if there's anything I can help out with. Cheers, Paxse 16:41, 13 July 2007 (UTC) <message cross-posted on Blofeld's page>[reply]

Hi Wise. I am thinking it night be wise to create a Category: Films about the Khmer Rouge -whether Cambodian or international to categorize films that discuss it ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 19:48, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Fear and Loathing

I was just referring to the fact that the image had been tagged for administrator review of its fair-use status; I found that it had a fair-use rationale for only the use in the film. Separate rationales would need to be crafted for any other use of the image. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:31, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cambodian Film

Just had to drop by and say well done for your excellent work on expanding Cambodian film coverage. It's incredible I think you have octupled the number of Cambodian films on Wikipedia in about a week! Great stuff. Paxse 18:40, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

wow thats odd I was going to develop this article later in the week! As you know I've been doing some work on Cambodia. Great! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 07:58, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good work buddy - I've just been admiring the excellent The Burnt Theatre that you have worked on. I have a feeling that Cambodia has produced a far greater number of films that imdb is letting on -some sites talk of the Cambdoian golden age of film with those actor biographies etc yet imdb does not even acknowledge them or many of the films. For instance List of Azerbaijani films -imdb only records about 10 films I think when actually there are like 1000!!!! -I used azerbaijani wikipedia which has many articles on them odten with a high number of screenshots. When I first became acquainted with the Internet I must admit I was awed by imdb but over time my opinion of it has declined considerably. Have you any idea where there might be more Cambodian films? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 08:10, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its also strange I was going to discuss creating a new Cambodian cinema template -but you beat me to it!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 08:11, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Heres a cool one -Cambodias answer to Nick Nack (Villechaize) Loto (actor) ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 08:33, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'm about to start See Angkor and Die -I thinks its quite critically acclaimed film- rotton tomatoes has it reviewed so hopefully we can get a good article out of it ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 08:41, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi very good work on those other Rithy Panh films, between us the situation looks ten times better. I have added some content which fills in the gaps. I started Chum Mey , Mom Soth , One Evening After the War , Le papier ne peut pas envelopper la braise . Also started My Village at Sunset, An Ambition Reduced to Ashes and Roland Eng -hey how did you know about the Cambodian ambassador thing -he didn't even have an article. Your knowledge is terrific!! I can't believe the King of Cambodia was a film director also!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 10:47, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also created 2007 Malaysian Porsche theft -I hope it qualifies for an article -this should be listed under current events for South-East Asia perhaps? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 12:12, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations on the DYK - now, can you stop it, please? My damn watchlist (90% Cambodian) just went completely insane as all these new editors and vandals started clicking through the links from the article - amazing. I was planning to nominate it myself but I thought the DVD cover would have made it a no no for the front page. Damn all these fair use rationales. Well done! Paxse 18:51, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
