Is this actually referring to the inuit tribes, or is it referring other eskimo tribes in addition to the inuit tribes such as the Yupik or Aluet tribes? This is not fact, Alaskan Husky refer to relatively any northern dog spitz-type. As such, its the same as if you say Husky are fast, but dogs in general are faster.
