"Fulgar" edits

Well, thanks for bringing it up to my attention, SWD. However, could you mind cross-posting that to the Administrators' noticeboard? It is in my opinion sufficient information to ask someone to run a CheckUser query, but I don't have that ability (only a few members of the ArbCom have it). If you ask there, someone will get to it. Nice template, I'll use it. :D ...but you should rename it to something more descriptive. --Phroziac . o º O (mmmmm chocolate!) 03:55, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. And what's the deal with the artifacts around the puzzle piece? Why wasn't my previous box good enough? *pouts*.... Thanks for adding it, btw. -Mysekurity 04:03, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the new logo. --Pat 04:22, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good, thanks. I'll add it to a Userbox page, and probably transclude it somewhere. --Deathphoenix 05:00, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, i need more boxes for my wiki-babel box! Pydos 11:27, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the template

Hey, thanks for the user template thing in my user page. I love those little pastel boxes, don't you? Much obliged. --ViolinGirl 13:03, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the userbox, I'll be sure to put it up soon. Happy edting! (and userbox making)

Huh?

On the contary, you removed me! I never removed my name from the list. I presume it was a mistake? [1] Banes 07:55, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I assumed that is what had happened. No problemo, it was nice to see the "new messages" bar when I got up this morning! Cheers Banes 15:55, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Another user has created a stub for Greco-Roman wrestling and, noticing that Freestyle had a link in the main artical (Amateur wrestling) that re-directed back to it, I created a stub for freestyle. I noticed your name on the Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by martial art, and was hoping you could assist me to expand these stubs as I have insufficiant knowlage to do so myself. Thank you in advance, --Akako| 19:29, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: SWD316

Hi there FireFox, it's SWD316. I hope you didn't take anything personally on the Esperanza talk page earlier today when we were talking about the Stressbusters and everything. Sorry if you did. SWD316 02:57, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No, nothing taken personally. See you around! FireFox 13:55, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Adminship

I just wanted to let you know that I'm nominated for adminship. What do you think? --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 21:30, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes

Nice userboxes... No that's not a chat-up line. You might find it helpful by the way to include <includeonly> tags (like I have on my babel page) so that you only appear on user categories once. -- Francs2000 01:53, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Check out the Jesus article and edit it to keep it focused on Jesus and a biographical account of Him. Watch the Jesus page to keep it focused on Him. Thank you. Scifiintel 22:23, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

List_of_drug-free_Wikipedians

I'd like to thank you for your attention to Wikipedia:List_of_drug-free_Wikipedians. Your logo creation and removal of fakes from the list have been especially helpful. If you could now perhaps help me keep an eye on SqueakBox, who is a member of the Rasafarian cult which teaches that marijuana is, literally, holy, and in fact, in the past, and, in many places, today, has preached racism, and has been adding pro-pot POV statements as captions to the images, on the page. Your help in fighting dope and its pushers is truly heroic. Cognition 18:19, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a Rastafarian, that is a Cognition slur (classic cult member behaviour, see Lyndon LaRouche) but Cognition was tampering with my comments for which he has been reported and which I will certainly take further action on if he persists in this manner. Tampering with the comments of other users on wikipedia when those comments are not a personal attack is at all times unacceptable on wikipedia. Please take note, SqueakBox 18:54, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

From User:SqueakBox's userpage: "My greatest achievements here so far have been elevating His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia to the status of Almighty God" ... also, see these edits: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AList_of_drug-free_Wikipedians&diff=29914794&oldid=29912572 (describes marijuana as "sacred"), http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ACognition&diff=22427071&oldid=22421620 (mistakenly believes I have converted to the Rastafarian cult, and congratulates me), http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ACognition&diff=20727072&oldid=20725877 (describes himself as a "pro-marijuana believer"), http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AList_of_drug-free_Wikipedians&diff=18447863&oldid=18445922 (discusses the promotion of cannabis as per "Rasta philosophy"). For not being a Rastafarian, SqueakBox, your beliefs seem to clearly mirror those of the pro-pot Rasta cult. Perhaps all of your pro-Rasta and pro-drug edits were made in jest and I'm simply not clever enough to recognize your satire? Cognition 19:31, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have copied this to Wikipedia talk:List of drug-free Wikipedians. Please both respond there where I have also answered Cognition's latest comment, SqueakBox 22:13, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. See Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:List of drug-free Wikipedians. I personally think the category you created was great as it allows people to express their drug-freeness without making POV statements, and that the page should be deleted now we have the category to replace it. Unlike Cognition, who I feel has used the page to promote anti-pot activism, you seem to just want a list of drug free people without turniung things into a political debate so I hope you will vote to delete the page but it would be good to see your vote either way, SqueakBox 16:56, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedians accused of being possessed???

I dread to ask... -- Francs2000 03:16, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It made me realise how nosey I was being but your message did make me chuckle... I have never been accused of being possessed but then I don't tend to hang out with religious types and didn't grow up in a religious family. I have heard of it among friends though so won't pry. -- Francs2000 03:36, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Now that made me laugh. Also following one of the links from your page led me to discover this which made me laugh even more. Shall I break it to them that I'm British??? -- Francs2000 04:03, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, you see I went to university at a time when the British government paid for students to go - a system that you don't have in the States (and we don't have any more over here either). *Sigh* those were the days, when education was free and all... And I am a quarter American so my grandfather's genes must have rubbed off somewhere along the line... -- Francs2000 04:13, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Me too! TTFN -- Francs2000 04:20, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well

First off, you have got to be about the biggest crybaby on wikipedia. I mentally threw up when I came across your page. You get your page vandalized twice, which is a fairly low amount, and you just cry about it on your front page. Why don't you be a man and have a little confidence. All you are is a giant crybaby who is insecure and needs a smack.

And you think you deserve to be an admin? Like half of your edits are on your stupid talk page. The way you talk about members that you accuse of being "poor editors" is just faulty and sad. Shame on you, you deserve a lifetime ban from wikipedia with the actions you have caused. Shame, shame on you.

Excuse Me

I don't know who you are, but I have been told that you have slandered my name across various administrative boards. I'm sorry that your page was vandalized, but I did not do such a thing. Please leave me alone, I don't know who you are, I didn't do any vandalizing. Please stop making rash statements about me and making quick assumptions.

I noticed in one of your board posts, that you say I make poor edits. That is an incredibly stupid thing to say. Most of my edits are typos/style, but they are still important, nonetheless. Mcfly85 09:27, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

Thank you
Thank you
My adminship request was successful!
Thank you so much for your support of my RfA. The results of the request was 18/0/1. With the help of your support vote, I am now a bona-fide Wikipedia sysop/admin. I pledge to use my newfound powers for the good of Wikipedia and its editors. If you have anything to tell me, dont hesitate to "speak on it"!. --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!>

Nom

Hi there, do you remember? I noticed that there is some conflict going on and was wondering if you would like to put it off a few days. Your userpage has been vandalized 3 times today, if you dont mind my asking, wtf is going on? Still, I dont mind doing it tomorrow at all. P.S. I have been informed that there will be a power cut tomorrow from 07:00 to 14:00 UTC. I planned on doing it at 19:00 UTC, but just in case the cut goes over time, I dont want you to be alarmed. Cheers Banes 15:33, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, is it fine if I nominate you at 19:00 UTC tomorrow? Banes 19:25, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, the vandals, it does seem peculiar though. My userpage has only been vandalized once by someone I didnt know in the real world. The other 2 vandalisms were by people I knew personally who did it as a prank. Oh well. Sadly, I am expecting "Battlefield 2" for my birthday and I have to put up with a power cut, how annoying. Still, I look forward to making you my third successful admin nomination. Cheers Banes 19:32, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Any suggestions on what to write in the nominator comments section:-)?

It is done, good luck. Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/SWD316 2 - Banes 18:42, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to bother you, but a word of friendly advice: Rather dont place comments below oppose votes, I know Rock09's number of edits is suspect, but preferably let others work that out themselves. I am not chastising you, it isnt really any of my business, but when a candidate rebutts statements some other editors frown upon it. Rather stay away from it and let me, and others, do that. Thanks for bearing with me, I hope I havnt sounded too rude... Banes 20:45, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to hear it. For the record, I am not "against" Mcfly85 per se. Heck, I dont even know him. But as I said on the RFA, the diffs you fixed do make one wonder. Anyways its been a long day for me, and its getting on for midnight, so, I'm off for now. Good luck Banes 21:13, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Esperanza Election

SWD, as you are probably aware, the Esperanza elections are coming up. After running for the advisory committee last time, with some degree of success, I have decided to run for the same post again. I noticed that you (graciously) voted for me last time. I hope I can count on your vote again! Working together, we can make Wikipedia a better, more inclusive place. Yours in Esperanza, JDH Owens.

Your RfA

Sure thing! I thought you were one already, though. --King of All the Franks 00:43, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your withdrawn RFA

I am sorry that you felt the need to withdraw your RFA and quit Wikipedia over the actions of one vindictive editor and some probable sock puppets. I think once the facts came out, your nomination would have fared much better. I hope you change your mind and don't let this one user drive you away. -- DS1953 05:13, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. You're a good bloke, and it's this is truly sad. Reconsider, won't you? Some advice- Transformers: The Movie is a classic, watching it always cheers me up. Some MST3K DVD's are good for some laughs too. Give it a try.--Sean|Black 05:18, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Grr... don't let a sock-fest drive you away. Everyone loses, except them. Take a break and then think for a bit, all right? But come back! Titoxd(?!? - did you read this?) 05:35, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am truly sorry to discover that your rfa has backfired to make a good editor pack up and leave. Please reconsider. Cheers Banes 06:06, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I too am sorry that you let the needles of Mcfly85 and his sockpuppets get to you, but your hastily withdrawn RfA and "I Quit" message only confirm my opposition. An administrator should be able to handle people like that with aplomb. For the record, I was in no way influenced by what he and his puppets had to say; I have a great deal of experience in AfD where we deal with puppets (of both the sock and meat varieties) constantly, so it was obvious to me what was happening. My opposition was based solely on your contribution record and I tried to give you constructive advice. I'll repeat: show me that you understand and are able to implement Wikipedia policies while keeping your cool when dealing with idiots, and I'll gladly support you. Additionally, please consider the wisdom imparted at WP:GRFA: Administrator status is not a trophy. Editors who regard being an administrator as an affirmation of their contributions as an editor or an award for good editing or other good service will generally be disappointed. Administrator status does not place you in an elevated status within Wikipedia. Every good-faith editor, from the newest editor to the most experienced bureaucrat, has the same status within Wikipedia. You will not gain respect simply by being an administrator. Hope to see another RfA for you when you can demonstrate that you will wield the administratorship honorably and I will most definitely support you at that time. Regards, howcheng [ t • c • w • e ] 07:34, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I can speak for everybody here, as I'm sorry to see you go in such a way. As you helped me in my Wikistress situations, I wish I could help you in a similar way. I'm shocked to see you leave off of a foolish sockpuppet. Given the time, things would have been taken care of, and your RfA could have been successful. Throught my year here at Wikipedia I was faced with similar problems, and sometimes I felt like exploding. If nothing else, this was a test to see if one really has what it takes to become a Wikipedia admin. The thing about having more abilities, is having more responsibilities. In my three days of being a rollback enabled RC patroller, I've had my userpage already vandalized, as well as seeing my fellow RC patrollers have their user (talk) pages replaced with penis pictures. It only gets more difficult. But remember, it took me over a year to get my adminship. And even so, I didn't get full support.

I see you have the potential to be a good admin. I hope you could take this more as a wikibreak, than an actual resignation. --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 09:45, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am always disturbed when good editors get chased off the project by the Rfa process (which is itself inherently at fault). I have seen to many good editors go this way. Hope you come back, don't let the bxxxxxds grind you down, SqueakBox 15:16, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

I am not a sockpuppet for mcfly85. How dare you make such a rash accusation. If I were you, I'd take down all that slanderous material that you have posted about that user. Calling him names like an "asshole" is just sad and makes you look worse. And you said you were a Christian. Remove those nasty materials you have said about mcfly85, it would work out to both of your favors. Rock09 09:58, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise for what I'm about to say but SWD316 is a much more valued contributor than that of a possible sockpuppet with only 12 edits. --Celestianpower hablamé 15:47, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
12 edits...some of which are vandalism. I hope to see you back soon SWD316. Just cool off and relax for awhile.... Banes 18:38, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I never once said that I was a more valued contributor, but I do feel that SWD316 is vastly overrated. I feel that his comments on his user page are personal attacks toward me and mcfly85 and other valid users and they should be removed. It makes him look bad to call people "assholes" and it also makes him look like a basket case. Yes, I have not been around long, and I have experiemented a bit, but there is no reason to have those personal attacks on his user page, no reason at all, that's the main point here. Rock09 19:06, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but you made him leave. There's no excuse and stop wasting our time. --Celestianpower hablamé 19:23, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I am not wasting your time, you are wasting it yourself. I want you all to take a look at this link Wikipedia:No_personal_attacks. There are obvious violations of what is official policy on the user page. And I did not make him leave, he obviously must have a low mental capacity and left himself. He just cannot handle that someone just doesn't feel he should be an admin. Rock09 19:29, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Although, arguably, "he obviously must have a low mental capacity" falls under NPA. Banes 19:34, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I flubbed a bit. I should have said "in my opinion". However, let's get back at the issue at hand, SWD316 made personal attacks toward users in his user page. That is a violation and I think those references should be removed. He can tell about his struggles and troubles and be angry, but to put down a specific user is totally unacceptable. Rock09 19:43, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The issue at hand is that you, at the very least a new, vandalous user, has boycotted his RfA, despite not being eligible to vote at all. As a result, a valued contributor has left. Then you come here adding salt to the wounds and argueing about WP:NPA. You have no right to do such a thing and we are standing up for a Wikipedian in good standing. Did you see the support voters? All of which I have at least heard of and a great number of which are Administrators. I think they have better knowledge of the Wikipedia system, policies, guidelines and community than you. I really shouldn't be getting so annoyed but when the system allows people like you to tread all over valued contributors, I do get angry. Look, I said that without resorting to personal attacks, unlike youself, "He obviously must have a low mental capacity" indeed... --Celestianpower háblame 21:46, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Stop

Please remove the comments about me on your user page. They are in direct violation of the code of conduct rules. I am sorry that other users have "harrassed" you, but I have done nothing of the sort. I will let bygones be bygones if you remove all infomation/accusations about me on your user page. Take advantage of this chance. Mcfly85 23:50, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What, you already notified the Admin's board. I dont think they will be able to do much. Please leave me alone and I'll leave you alone. SWD316 23:53, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
No, I want all references about me removed immediately. It is in violation of the Personal Attacks policy. You have used two examples listed to slander me, and that is, "Profanity directed against another contributor" and "Accusatory comments such as "Bob is a troll", or "Jane is a bad editor" can be considered personal attacks if said repeatedly, in bad faith, or with sufficient venom.". I do not have a clue as to who these sock puppets are, and I do not use sock puppets, and I do not vandalize articles. I would assume that some anon just looked through your edits and just went with it. I'm sorry that your pages have been vandalized, but all references to me must be removed, or I will pursue further action. Mcfly85 11:28, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Idiots in the RfA

You wrote:

If you knew there was, what you call, idiots on my RFA disrupting the process, why didnt you do anything about it? I could only handle Mcfly85 for so long. You can remain cool only for so long before it gets annoying. I know that being an admin doesn't place you at a better position, I just wanted an fair opportunity at being an admin without conflict from outside users like Mcfly85, Rock09 and Sigma995 that influence voters.

I didn't feel like anything needed to be done that hadn't already been done. The two diffs that showed your edit to Mcfly85's user page and the subsequent vandalism to your user page were enough to discount his vote (although like Banes said, there's no direct evidence that it was him). Lord Vid had already remarked how Rock09 had less than 10 edits at the time of his vote and someone else had shown that Sigma995 had only 4 edits at the time of his vote, so what else should I have done? The information was already there for everyone else to see. I don't want to sound pedantic or cliché, but there's that old saying from The Art of War, (something like) "If your enemy is destroying himself, there is no need to attack." All you needed to do was let them say what they wanted to say and any intelligent/experienced Wikipedian would have been able to figure it out. Instead, you got yourself all worked up and withdrew your RfA when you didn't have to. Treat this as a lesson to be learned and you'll do all right next time. Regards, howcheng [ t • c • w • e ] 07:52, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hope you're back soon

Sigh... another great user driven off by trolls and their socks. And I didn't even get chance to vote on your RfA. Hope you come back soon, and I'm sure your next RFA will go great... just make sure to drop me a note so I can be first to vote and fight some trolls! the wub "?!" 15:56, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Enough is Enough

OK, I'll make you a deal. You remove all references to me on your user page, and I will never "bother" you again. You have no right to insult me or make unfounded claims on your user page about me. It is slander and I will not have my name be cheapened by your rash actions. I did not ever create a sockpuppet, I never vandalized your page. I just said you would not make a good admin, and I developed a valid case for that. So just take the stuff down, that's all I'm asking, and I think it is very little of me to ask. It would make things easier for the both of us if all references and allegations (which are totally false) to my user name be removed. You are violating many codes of conduct on wikipedia and making yourself look like a jerk in the process. Mcfly85 16:37, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Tell me where there one personal attack on my user page about you? SWD316 16:55, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Look, just take my name off your page. I just don't feel it needs to be on there, and I do not deserve this kind of treatment. I have not done anything to you. Just remove my user name off the page, and I'll never bother you again. Mcfly85 17:26, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
So long as he's not violating WP:NPA then he can say whatever he likes on his userpage. --Celestianpower háblame 17:28, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
He is making a false accusation of me on the page, which would qualify as a personal attack. He is also making a personal attack on the user above. I don't understand this, I am not a bad editor, I just want my user name off of his page, that's all. And I'll never bother you again. Mcfly85 17:31, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Against policy"

Nothing currently on your userpage violates any WP policy so no, there's not need to change it. Hope you're feeling a bit better :). Did you notice the Esperanza elections are going through - you're not doing too badly! --Celestianpower háblame 17:23, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah it would seem so lol and I'm glad you're feeling better. You should definately vote... ...for me!!! --Celestianpower háblame 17:30, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yay! Go me! --Celestianpower háblame 17:40, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's not against WP policy, but if taking it out makes him leave you alone, do so. But it's good to hear you're feeling better. Titoxd(?!? - did you read this?) 18:45, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm...

You may want to look at the history of Frank Beard. And, less interestingly, the history of Wayne Newton. I just thought this might interest you. Cheers Banes 17:42, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that the Frank Beard article is so, small, and relatively un-edited, it is interesting. Personally, I am not that keen on going after socks, but, cant you get a checkuser? Anyway, I thought it might interest you in future matters.... Banes 17:54, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I would suggest you bounce it at Celestian and see what he makes of it. Banes 18:00, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Looks a bit suspect to me. I definately advise getting a Checkuser. here shows all of the people with this power. --Celestianpower háblame 18:05, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey (to SWD316) I am really chuffed to hear that my little piece of evidence has finally cleared your name. To blow my own trumpet, I carefully checked through the histories of the few articles that the "suspects" had edited. After about 30 minutes, Frank Beard came up, this was last night. Tonight I accidentally (while trying to find Frank Beard again) found the Wayne Newton article, and then I felt certain. I tried to e-mail you but you dont have it enabled, so I posted the message. So, there you go, congratulations on being right all this time! It is a shame you have withdrawn your RFA, in future, you ought to give these things more time. Anyway, happy editing. Renomination

I've renominated you for adminship based on the wrong that was done to you previously. However, as I don't really know you well enough, I am voting neutral. Please indicate if you accept. --Nlu (talk) 19:58, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Discounting Mcfly's vote

Sorry, but no, his oppose vote does count. He himself is not a sockpuppet and has ample edits. Unless he's blocked, he can vote. --Celestianpower háblame 21:58, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

RfAr against Mcfly85

I'm about to bring a WP:RfAr against Mcfly85 to ask the ArbCom for an emergency injunction on this issue. Please add any comments there (properly formatted) if you wish. --Nlu (talk) 04:16, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

SWD316, this is Mcfly85, I'm so sorry for all of this. I think you are a great editor, you deserve to be a mod, I'm sorry for all of this, I hope you become a mod. You are dedicated to this site. I hope everything works out. 63.18.160.93 04:26, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA (3rd time)

Of course I didn't take anything you said personally. As far as I'm concerned, this is all business. I think what you need to do is trust that the rest of us know what we're doing. A nomination for adminship is stressful and it's understandable that people can get carried away, but if you want to succeed as an admin, you have to let it slide and assume good faith for the most part. As for Mcfly85 removing the <del> tags, I believe he's allowed to do that since he himself is not a sockpuppet nor has he been blocked. Again, that's something you should trust the bureaucrats to recognize. FYI, User:Mo0 who just got his adminship approved, is also bipolar according to his user page. Perhaps you should contact him and see how he handles it. Good luck and if you don't succeed this time, I hope you don't give up. howcheng [ t • c • w • e ] 07:16, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

RfA

SWD316, I appreciate you sincere explanation of yourself on my talk page. I don't doubt that you edit in nothing but good faith. However, I'm going to let my opposition stand. I'm sorry about the harrassment you received from Mcfly85, but I just think Wikipedia's administrator corps is getting more and more immature, and cannot in good conscience support the candidacy of someone who uses "gay" as a pejorative. Regards, TacoDeposit 15:29, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but at that time I'm going to oppose your nomination. The sockpuppets in the previous RfA were obvious (red linked users with few edits) and any bureaucrat would've ignored them, but you went all crazy. That's something I don't expect from an admin candidate. You need to learn to deal with bad users in a more professional manner. Grue 17:27, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't call you crazy. But your reaction to previous RfA was crazy. Grue 21:49, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It wouldn't be a good idea to block the IPs, because the IPs could be dynamic, and then someone else would be blocked as a result of another user's abuse. As for the accounts, I would only tag those that participated in your RfA or that show editing patterns similar to McFly85. Titoxd(?!? - did you read this?) 19:52, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I know you've had a hard time at WP:RfA lately. Although your nominations didn't pass, your contributions to Wikipedia are still greatly appreciated, and I encourage you to continue editing without admin tools. Keep your chin up and don't let the negative comments on the RfA overwhelm the good work you are doing. You still had more support than oppose votes. Continue to earn the support votes and try your best not to give new arguments to the oppose votes. If you do that, and still want the extra tools, they will eventually be yours. -- DS1953 talk 23:13, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Could you take a look?

Hi, sorry to hear about your RfA, It was a big mess, I'd be glad to change my vote on your next one if you keep on your current path. With that said, I was wondering if you could take a look at something involving the Randy Orton article. If you could have a look at this discussion and then have a look at this comment I would appreciate it. If my arguement has no merit I'd like to know in order to avoid a potential conflict over something so trivial. Thanks KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 23:25, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Conversations

I am interested in copying the code to get what you have on the top of your talk page, but I will be placing mine in a sub-topic or perhaps a sub/section. User:AlMac|(talk) 03:52, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the humor. I found where you got the headings, by using the Search. I see that it individually lists the urls. What I was looking for was a "what links here" that was limited to User Talk pages (like the search engine can limit that way} except that would be dynamically updated as I have conversaions with more folks. User:AlMac|(talk) 04:02, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If you would be so kind as to point me to how you did it, if in fact it is some kind of automated thing, I may figure out how to thank you properly.

new User:AlMac|(talk) message

To restate myself. I saw that on the top you had a chunk of links to other Wiki people talk pages where you had had conversations with them & I thought "Cool, I want to do that also on my talk pages" and "How does SWD316 do that?" so I noodled around what I could find, that I have learned so far how to do on Wiki, and I could not see how you did it, other than manually maintaining, which is more work than justified for the value of this thing.

So, if there is a way that you set this up, and it automatically stays current like the stuff in Toolbox user contributions not need us to update anything, it always there, that is what I would like to learn from you. There is no urgency here. It is just something that I thought was excessively cool.

I have on my watch list, connections to various user talk pages, where I have forgotten why ... I might not need there any more. I thought this might be a nice alternative and also feed concept of friends of friends with similar interests. User:AlMac|(talk) 15:39, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but let's not

I can create you one of those headings if you want one. NO, there is no way to automatically do it. You have to do it manually if you want it.

Thanks anyway, let's not do this. I am humongously behind on maintaining other stuff that is far more important. It was a nice idea, but now it is time to move on. User:AlMac|(talk) 17:49, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WWE divas

Could you help me here, on the List of WWE Divas page Wwfanz is so certain that Sara Calaway and Marissa McMahon are divas. I think they should be removed because Marissa has never been classed as a diva never appeared on Raw or Smackdown only ever appeared on Livewire, she works in public relations. Sara Calaway hasnt been involved with the wwe in over 3years and hasnt appeared since the ending of the storyline she was involved in. Why are they still included and classes as divas?

RfA thanks from Deathphoenix

Hi SWD316,

I just wanted to thank you for supporting me in my RfA. To tell you the truth, I was surprised by all the support I've gotten. I never saw myself as more than an occasional Wiki-hobbyist.

My wife sends her curses, as Wikipedia will likely suck up more of my time. She jokingly (I think) said she was tempted to log on to Wikipedia just to vote Oppose and let everyone know that she didn't want her husband to be an admin.

I'll make sure your trust in me is founded. --Deathphoenix 15:07, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Chadbryant

I must say, young man, that you have most likely made a very big mistake by inviting Chadbryant to contribute to your wrasslin' project. He is a control freak and bully who will pull political strings and engage in behind the scenes machinations to accomplish his self-serving ends. Chadbryant has proven many times over to be a cancer upon anything or anyone he comes in contact with. Just ask Alex Cain, Beth Frindell, or any of his many former employers. Captain Spinkicker

Thanks for the note. I fixed it up earlier just because I noticed that many of the inactive members were in reality very active. I mean, one can't get more active than Theresa knott! Let me be the first (well, second to Titoxd) to welcome you back to Esperanza! Cheers, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 22:27, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed User:OSJ's rubbish from your page. Doctoring someone else's comment to add in a new allegation pretending to be them is a serious issue IMHO and I'll be issuing a warning to OSJ about it. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 00:07, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hitching Your Cart to Chadbryant Is a Bad Idea

Chadbryant is a pox upon humanity and aligning yourself with this bloated blunderbuss will bring with it many difficulties. There is a reason Chadbryant has developed such a large number of adversaries: he has committed numerous acts of cyber malfeasance, leaving many damaged reputations and egos in his wake.

Unfortunately, I see that you have already adopted one Chadism: making unfounded, libelous claims of sockpuppetry. Obviously, the cancer of Chad is beginning to take hold of your own online behaviour.

Young man, I implore you to disengage yourself with Chadbryant posthaste. Believe me, in the long run, it will save you many headaches. Just ask Beth Frindell. Captain Spinkicker

The "Note For Admins" doesn't mean bubkis, my poor porcine person. Your use of that external link negates ANY validation that you may wish to portray while on Wikipedia; even several long-time admins on here have said that your site is "questionable." For you to try to pass yourself off as the victim once again only screams of your antisocial antics, and I for one am disgusted (though not surprised) that you would even attempt to do so by now. I would reccomend that you leave Wikipedia on your own accord for a few weeks, which would allow all of the chaos to die down. A quick, quiet return would be what is necessary at this point, but then again, given your behavior, I would hesitate to say you have the ability for self-control or an unbiased attitude in any form.
