Welcome to the WikiDragon and WikiOtter Meeting Cave where the two species meet and collaborate. |
This page contains material that is kept because it is considered humorous. Such material is not meant to be taken seriously. |

What is this place?
This is a gathering place for WikiDragons and WikiOtters. WikiDragons are good at large edits, and WikiOtters are good at helping other editors on odd jobs. These two WikiFauna are so complementary we couldn't resist the opportunity to see what good could come from their collaborations.
This is also a sort of meeting place, where we share what's going on, what our latest projects are, etc.
Census
Sign your name below to let the community know you exist! We try to keep tabs on how many there are currently. Please let us know you're still an active WikiDragon or WikiOtter by participating in the biannual census.

On 31 December 2010, there were an estimated 73 WikiDragons in the wild. A total of 4 WikiDragons were tagged. No new WikDragons were identified. This may indicate a seasonal lifestyle or may be the result of a reduction in offspring. One WikiDragon missed in the previous tagging was identified, upping the estimation from the early half of the year to 146 WikiDragons. Hibernation may account for this. Assuming hibernation is common, an additional 8 WikiDragons can be added to the expected 65, bringing the current population estimate to 73. This is a drastic reduction from the previous census. The species has been reevaluated by the Department of Fun as Critically Endangered using the IUCN 3.1 guidelines.
On 31 December 2010, there were an estimated 5 WikiOtters in the wild. The results are only mildly surprising, however, since they match the results from this season last year. WikiOtters are likely less active during the second half of the year, possibly due to breeding season occurring during the spring and early summer. No previously known specimens were relocated this time, however, a single new specimen was tagged. The disappearance of all tagged specimens may be the result of a short lifespan. The species has been reevaluated by the Department of Fun as Critically Endangered using the IUCN 3.1 guidelines.

112 WikiDragons were counted in the wild. A WikiOtter census was not taken. Future censuses will be done via registration and some quick math. |
Current Projects
If you like, you may transclude the code from a "current projects page" (if you have one) below, provided the size is reasonable and the limits of the transcluded page are made clear with some sort of border.
WikiDragons' current projects
Billy Mays inclusion into the "Deaths" section for 2009I think that Billy Mays should be included into the "Deaths" section for 2009, but the policy says his article has to be in at least ten languages, so I'm looking for translators.
I've started a new article at User:MahaPanta/William_Darrell_Mays_III where I'm working on it till I can get it moved to "article space".
This is what a real project looks like. --Philcha (talk) 08:48, 24 June 2009 (UTC) TorstenGuise (talk • contribs)Operational StatusOn to check every so often. Still consumed by the job and but back for more mirth! Major TO DO'sBoyle's law - Complete rewrite of the page as its bloody awful. Far too much conjecture and the history is just shocking!! Requires addition of a lot more actual science and replacement of the historic nonsense with referenced facts. 2010

-- Barkjon 21:51, 28 January 2010 (UTC) Visionholder (talk · contribs)I've been slowly working to re-write all the lemur articles, including some of the largest, most inclusive articles. Lemur is done, as well as Lemur evolutionary history and Subfossil lemur, but several other planned subpages are still on the drawing board. I also have a ton of smaller species articles to write, as well as numerous large articles about families and genera. You can follow my progress from my user page or from my topic planned list. – VisionHolder « talk » 18:52, 19 July 2010 (UTC) Paul Bedson (talk · contribs)I'm working on a range of articles to prevent Earth's most important archaeological site (known as Kharsag in the Barton Cylinder or the Garden of Eden in the Bible, Book of Jubilees and 2 Enoch) from being destroyed by urbanization of Kfar Qouq, near Rashaya, Lebanon. This includes archaeologists, paleo-botanists, archaeological sites nearby, museums and research bodies, ancient proto-pottery and pottery, arrowheads, megaliths, stone circles and anything showing the neolithic revolution started in the Rashaya South Basin in the Beqaa Valley. Any help to stop the destruction of this site will be assisting mankind re-discover the origins of our civilization and hopefully safeguard it's future.
