Women cricketers who made a century on Test debut

Well done yourself on adding the men's category. Like you, I am quite surprised no-one had thought of it before. On first seeing the new category, my first thought was "this category must have existed and for some reason been deleted", and I looked for a discussion about it. But I can't find one, so I suspect it really is new! Welcome to Wikipedia, by the way, I hope you enjoy contributing. Best wishes, RobertGtalk 08:14, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent work on adding all the geocoordinate data missing from Queensland articles. - Shiftchange (talk) 05:12, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your efforts in preserving the factual correctness of wikipedia are commendable. However, I must inform you the Michael James Gallagher entry on the Strabane page is infact a joke to begin with. My edit is actually more factual, seeing as he's the kind of person to add himself to the 'Notable Persons' section of a wikipedia article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.23.50.179 (talk) 00:32, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas Bridges

If you are interested in Thomas Bridges, it might be easier to discuss via email -- he's a relative of my husband -- I'm kerry.raymond@gmail.com But to answer your question. The Brisbane City Council burial register is generally pretty good (apart from typos) from the time that the Council takes control of a cemetery, but Nundah (like most of the earlier cemeteries) was originally administered by private trustees, whose record-keeping wasn't of the same standard, so what records you find from these earlier times is somewhat hit and miss. Yes, Thomas Bridges was buried on the date I claim -- it says so in the funeral notice in the newspaper (which is now available online -- I used microfilm originally -- so I can now add a citation onto the article).

Coords

Hello, Prodded the hoax article you tried a speedy on, should have happened regardless of the reasons you used, but not much use causing a fuss. How do you find coordinates so quickly?? I think I must be technologically inept now and would like to know. Regards (Crusoe8181 (talk) 09:53, 17 February 2011 (UTC)).[reply]

Coords

Hey Rocketrod,

Thanks for all your efforts in adding coordinates to Australian articles. It helps a lot. May I just point out a few tips to hone your edits. The type parameter is important to the {{coord}} template as it indicates how the location should be displayed iconographically as well as the default scale for a map. I note that you have added coords to some schools and or tertiary institutions recently. These all should be marked as type:edu in the {{coord}} template. See the {{coord}} documentation for all the values of the type param. If an article has an infobox, check if the infobox has a coords or coordinates parameter to place a call to {{coord}}. See this recent edit of mine to an article that you recently added coords to. Note that your Southings were out by 4 degrees placing the bus station in the ocean between Gladstone and Rockhampton. For Australian places and landmarks, the Australian Gazetteer is a useful, reliable source. Once again, thanks for adding all those coords to Aussie articles. Common interests

Hi, Rocketrod1960! Yet again we seem to have some common interests! I have just been adding a few bits and pieces to your article on the Temple of Peace. However, I am perplexed by the three sons who died in WW1 -- they do not appear in the National Archives, the War Memorial or the Commonwealth War Graves listings either under Ramo or Retzlaff (Richard Retzlaff was German and naturalised in 1905 and changed his surname to Ramo in the process). He has the birth of some sons registered as Retzlaff in NSW in the 1890s, so they are the right age for WW1 service, but it brings me no closer to finding any real sources that they died in World War 1 beyond a Roll of Honour entry supplied by Richard himself. So I did some Google searching and found this http://books.google.com.au/books?id=4YWbbE5KpRIC&pg=PA222&lpg=PA222&dq=richard+ramo&source=bl&ots=OxD6J8HV9j&sig=U-bdJ8OE_G3iv5rqq8PSaU6Jp24&hl=en&sa=X&ei=5_-FUOuBCc-SiQenhoCQAw&ved=0CC4Q6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=richard%20ramo&f=false Hmm.... Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Temple of Peace (Toowong Cemetery), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Messines (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion declined: CIA activities in Australia

Hello Rocketrod1960. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of CIA activities in Australia, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Hello RocketRod1960, I am uncertain why my very minor change to Joe Sestak entry was rejected or challenged by both you and 'Greenmaven' as vandalism?

The correction I attempted to make was very simple. The text stated that Joe Sestak's 2010 concession speech was done the Valley Forge Military Academy. That is incorrect. Someone else mis-stated this and its posting was never challenged. I was there that night, at that election night gathering, and it was held at the Radnor Hotel, in Wayne, PA. As proof, I decided to post to this page one of several pictures I, myself, took at that gathering, as Joe Sestak (accompanied by his wife, Susan, and their daughter, Alexandra) arrived to finally concede the US Senate race to Pat Toomey.

I have already alerted Joe Sestak, himself, via DM on Twitter; Joe and I have been Twitter-following each other since mid-2009. I have also sent his brother, Richard Sestak, an email to alert them both that there have been many other, somewhat suspicious changes to this page about Joe Sestak.

Respectfully submitted and yes, admittedly a Wikipedia revision 'newbie,'

kwame Kilpatrick

Hi Rocketrod1960. I undid the deletion to what I added to the article. If you follow the reference that was given, it was a Detroit Free Press Article which quoted Kwame himself. The facts in that line used that article as it's source. The only source again a quote form Kwame. There has never been any proof to that statement by a second party. Group of 88

My recent edit was removed and I would like to know why it was deemed that the ambiguous term "certan ideas" was more appropriate than feminist Ideologies. The group of 88 assumed that the boys involved were guilty, racist and sexist just based on the fact that they are male. Feminism and its current "orientation" programs explicitly teach both sexes that men are all rapists. If you don't have the balls to post the truth then you should refrain from stopping other people and resign from wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.223.64.50 (talk) 07:48, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WTHell?

Hello, I'm Rocketrod1960. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Deteriorata because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Rocketrod1960 08:37, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

What the hell are you talking about? Did you even READ the entry?
Did you look at what it referred to, at what it linked to, or did you just revert it because I hadn't bothered to LOG IN?
A -- the section is called "REFERENCES" -- it's about things the piece REFERENCES. I ADDED a REFERENCE. Deteriorata has a REFERENCE to "your dog finally getting enough cheese" -- if you weren't OLD enough, you would not have ANY clue about the advertisements the reference dealt with unless someone -- namely me -- who WAS old enough to remember it -- bothered to add something to wikipedia so someone like YOU can get a CLUE... Adding a reference to a REFERENCE section!! Gosh, what a concept!!
B -- I linked to another Wiki Entry which was what the reference was about. GOSH, a linking!! What a concept!!
C -- The article I linked to SPECIFICALLY HAS AN "ORPHAN" complaint in it, because it doesn't have many, if any, links to it. So I was assisting with THAT issue -- Now it has a link from the Deteriorata page, which is a VERY LIKELY reason to bump from one to the other... Gosh, what a concept!!
Next time you actually decide to revert something, why don't you actually LOOK at what it refers to and what it does, rather than just reversing something just because it's an IP ADDRESS and CLEARLY "only registered users" can make valid entries... >:-/
If this seems hostile, there's a reason. There was no valid cause or justification for this reversion whatsoever. "It didn't appear constructive" is an abjectly idiotic, mindless claim for the three reasons listed above -- all blatantly self-evident from a simple reading of the original entry, something you CLEARLY did not bother to do at all. Hence, this revision was you being a tin-plated dictator with delusions of godhood. Stop it. Be useful, not anti-useful. Find actual vandalism or incorrect entries by KNOWING what the heck you're doing, and not brainlessly typecasting something just because it's an IP address. --OBloodyHell (talk) 10:49, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I find your message to me in regards to Deteriorata as totally abusive. Not only did I revert your edits but you would have noticed that ClueBot NG also reverted that same edit. If you wish to contest an edit that I have done you will certainly not get a sympathetic hearing from me by going to my talk page and leaving an abusive message on it. You may wish to read No personal attacks in regards to all this.
1) IDENTIFY THE "PERSONAL ATTACK" OR RETRACT YOUR STATEMENT.

I asked you a QUESTION: Did you READ the entry, or not? You showed no sign of it,

nor did you bother to actually SHOW that you had. Your response doesn't show you had
done so at all, either, so, for a second time -- JUSTIFY YOUR RIDICULOUS CLAIM, or APOLOGIZE.
Then, having explained, in detail, how your edit failed to pass even the slightest semblance
of rational basis, I defined what such behavior is. There was no insult, it's a statement of FACT.
If you're abusing your power to edit in order to "gain points" and "move up the leaderboard"
you seem to be getting lots of movement on -- and this seems more and more self-evident --
it's rather clearly a correct and fully accurate description.
2) You show EVERY sign of being someone who is seeking POINTS to move you up the LEADERBOARD and not someone who is doing ANYTHING but vandalizing the contributions of others you think won't do anything about it.
3) "Cluebot" reverted my edits because I was using an IP address and hadn't logged in. If you read the note, it even SAID so... It doesn't have the excuse you do of actually being able to READ AND UNDERSTAND the additions. Or do you have problems with reading comprehension the higher ups should be made aware of? I'll happily oblige.
--OBloodyHell (talk) 08:05, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you read Wikipedia:No personal attacks. Rocketrod1960 (talk) 00:18, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

And I suggest you need to stop vandalizing pages to score points on the STiki leaderboard. Considering you cannot justify your initial bogusly claimed "reason" for the initial edit, that is clearly the only justifiable excuse for what you did.

Legit article on Foot Washing Fantasies

Rocketrod, I found your response to my article somewhat refreshing.

Firstly, thank you for your complete lack of honesty. You found it to be unconstructive? You seem to have mispelt the word 'false'.

Let me ask you a question, have you ever had to drive down to your local police station at 5am to plead with the polic to release your nephew on the grounds of mental health? Daniel's foot-washing fantasies have torn our family apart. Last month we had to spend half of my immediate family's Christmas budget on the pulping of 'All Washed Up.'

This article my friend, was in no way false. Oh sorry, I seem to be misleading you with my use of the word 'friend', you are an imbecile. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.237.212.247 (talk) 21:27, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ArmaLite AR50 page

This guy might be an anti-gun troll. He deleted the 416 description and after I edited it, he threw a copyright thing up asking the page be deleted.

There are only so many things that describe this rifle.

barrel twist caliber cartridge name specs on bedding of stock brake design

etc......

It's like saying the description of a Ford V8 engine is a copyright infringement because you specified liters, number of pistons, spark plugs, etc..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by JohnC76 (talkcontribs) 06:53, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

AR50 page

I reworded everything.... there is no copyright violations possible now.

In the asterisk section, you can't call that copyright infringement because that is like saying the specs on a certain model car, like tire sizee, liters, spark plugs, number of cylinders, etc., is copyright infrigement.

I'm serious, screw with this page again and I'll report you for vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JohnC76 (talkcontribs) 07:29, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
