:::::I assume you are referring to either Adam Clayton or The Edge both of whom were born in Britain. The difference here is that both are considered Irish despite the places of their birth, I can refer you to their own articles and accompanying discussions. This, however, is not the case with Niall Horan. Even were this not true, the notion that a band's "nationality" is different to that of its members based on where it was formed is illogical. If they had met and formed on holiday in Spain, I doubt you would consider them Spanish. British or English-Irish?

How about defining the band as simply "British" in the lead instead of "English-Irish"? We don't include multiple nationalities in the lead sentence as per WP:MOS. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:48, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Likely because Irish people aren't British? I could swear that everyone I knew had seen that CGP Grey video. Sam Dufus (talk) 08:00, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree though, the band itself is British.--Krystaleen 09:16, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have know defined the band as British, because England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are all part of the United Kingdom. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:15, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This change is illogical. Four of the members are British, one is Irish. The change is inaccurate and should be reversed. Your reasoning about the constituent countries of the UK is irrelevant. 23:06, 28 November 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.41.39.111 (talk)
