==Reversion to Template:Windows Phone== |
|||
I just wanted to let you know that I reverted your recent edit to Template:Windows Phone and explain the reason for the reversion. Windows 10 for mobile is a more appropriate name for the link instead of "for phone" as this particular version of Windows 10 may be usable for other device types; in addition, it is closer to the actual Wikipedia page name. // coldacid (talk|contrib) 20:01, 25 March 2015 (UTC) |

Sony Xperia L image file
I am happy to know that you have found a free alternative, if I am not wrong. Would you please take the time to upload the file on the page or at least upload to Wikimedia.
Thank You.
Edit reverted
I changed cyrogenic to cryogenic on the Borderlands the Pre Sequel page. Obviously a typo. Why was it changed back to be incorrect?

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. DYK for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection
On 28 February 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that a US$399 limited edition of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection includes a remote-controlled Claptrap? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Your GA nomination of Super Bowl advertising
The article Super Bowl advertising you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Super Bowl advertising for things which need to be addressed. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Windows Insider
Hi.
I thought perhaps I should invite some of the active contributors in Windows 10 article to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Windows Insider. Personally, I feel Windows Insider article has nothing new to warrant a separate article.

"Copy editing"?
Hi there! I've noticed you've removed/reverted some of my edits because they are "copy edited", in particular about compression on Windows 10. I'm confused to why this is when as far as I can tell, I can accuse you of the same? Your explanation also has a few very minor factual flaws: compression will only be automatically enabled during upgrade, otherwise it can done manually. It replaces, not succeeds WIMBoot mode since all Windows 10 devices will be capable of compression. Cheers NeoGeneric 💬 23:54, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
Re: Re: Wording
Compression can be manually enable/disable in the Disk Utility as I had mentioned before you removed it, and may be enabled automatically through the upgrade process.
The semantics of "replace" over "succeed" is less sound, but my attempt was to convey that WIMBoot mode is being depreciated by the new compression method that is superior, being that it can be enabled on all installs of Windows 10.
You have also danced around my intended question about "copy editing" - what do you mean by this?
Furthermore, why did you not respond here, but created a new fragmented section on my talk page? Might I suggest using the reply template so that I would respond in a timely manner.
Regards, NeoGeneric 💬 01:00, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- @NeoGeneric: Compression in Disk Cleanup is different (that's NTFS compression across the entire hard drive. This is selective compression for apps and system files). Also did you even read Wikipedia:Copy editing to know what it means? ViperSnake151 Talk 01:04, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- I'm talking about http://www.zdnet.com/pictures/hands-on-with-windows-10-preview-build-9879/3/ compression introduced since 9879, in fairness I forgot to include this reference the aforementioned text (but it is included in the versions table on the W10 article). Yes I have read Copy Editing, which is why I am asking for your reasoning, because it doesn't even apply to the changes that I made here. NeoGeneric 💬 01:31, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
ViperSnake151, I see that you made a couple of additional edits to the article after an editor said that the edits you requested on the nomination had been made, but you haven't replied at the nomination template. Can you please post an update saying where the nomination stands and what, if anything, is still needed? Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:41, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
Question
Do you think we should add to the Armenia–Azerbaijan relations in the Eurovision Song Contest article that Armenia had to change its ESC 2015 entry name as it could be precieved as a reference to the Armenian genocide. As Azerbaijan has complained to EBU about it?.--BabbaQ (talk) 20:40, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
Windows 10: "personal computer"
Hi.
An article cannot have contradictions: If the part that says "personal computer operating system" exists, then the part that says "The overlying goal of Windows 10 is to unify the Windows PC, Windows Phone, Windows Embedded and Xbox One product families" must not exist and the |platform=
cannot say "ARMv7". Or vice versa. Contradictions are not acceptable.
Take your pick. Choose carefully.

Reversion to Template:Windows Phone
I just wanted to let you know that I reverted your recent edit to Template:Windows Phone and explain the reason for the reversion. Windows 10 for mobile is a more appropriate name for the link instead of "for phone" as this particular version of Windows 10 may be usable for other device types; in addition, it is closer to the actual Wikipedia page name. // coldacid (talk|contrib) 20:01, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
