That was a content dispute, not vandalism; I had originally misinterpreted the edits as vandalism, which led to a misunderstanding. It's been sorted out now, and I doubt page protection will be necessary. Colonel Wilhelm Klink (Complaints|Mistakes) 00:19, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Understood and apologize for getting in the way. Justin15w (talk) 00:21, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a big deal, but try not to make the same mistake I made: don't revert too quickly. Anyway, thanks for understanding. Colonel Wilhelm Klink (Complaints|Mistakes) 00:22, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

Hi Justin15w. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Widr (talk) 20:38, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Hello Justin. Thank you for your attention to my edits on Davor Dzalto. While I was clearly trolling it was for a purpose. Please review Dzalto's page and clean up how shamelessly self-promotional it is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.216.192.82 (talk) 23:20, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@76.216.192.82: This has already been addressed in Talk:Davor Džalto. Justin15w (talk) 05:52, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your opinion, but I am only making the article more accurate.

Thank you for your time. LmL (talk) 01:41, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning your message: Hello, I'm Justin15w. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Emperor Yang of Sui have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Justin15w (talk) 01:23, 9 November 2016 (UTC)

I don't know what your defintiion of "constructive" is, but I think your undoing was unconstructive. I changed "khan" into "khagan". Do you have any problem with that? A waste of my time, that is what it is. Rather ridiculous. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HuMo (talkcontribs) 16:02, 9 November 2016 (UTC) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:HuMo — Preceding unsigned comment added by HuMo (talkcontribs) 16:04, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@HuMo: Hi there. The reason I reverted your edit is because it turned a wikilink into a red link that doesn't lead anywhere, degrading the article quality. If you feel your edit was constructive, feel free to add it again, ensuring the wikilinks remain active, with a good summary as to why it was changed. It's nothing personal. Thanks. Justin15w (talk) 19:03, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

recent revert

You recently reverted some content on Purdue University Northwest. Please report libelous edits to oversight-en-wp@wikipedia.org . By the way, the section immediately below this seems to be messing up your page. Thanks John from Idegon (talk) 01:32, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And I tried to fix it, but I suck at HTML. John from Idegon (talk) 01:39, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Me too! I can't figure it out. I asked the Teahouse. I'll also keep that email address available for future reference. Thanks! Justin15w (talk) 01:43, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We thank you both for your contributions to Wikipedia at-large and your use of the tool. We hope you continue your ascent up the leaderboard and stay in touch at the talk page. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Justin15w. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dire wolf

Hello Justin, thankyou for your frustrating defence of the Dire wolf page recently; the matter is "now before the courts" [[1]]. Keep up the good work. Regards,  William Harris |talk  20:56, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@William Harris: Thank you kindly, William. I figured that account was a sock but noticed he stopped editing for a bit. Justin15w (talk) 21:00, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It is only a matter of time before the entity starts again, let us hope we can nip that in the bud with a blanket ban on all three accounts. Regards,  William Harris |talk  21:03, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
PS: I notice that you have the option of using both Twinkle and Stiki as a tool - which do you prefer and are there times to use one in preference to the other?  William Harris |talk  21:05, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@William Harris: I like them both for different uses. I use Twinkle for Recent Changes patrolling, or when I'm using my phone, or when I'm patrolling at work on breaks - generally just to fight gross vandalism. STiki uses a java program and combines the warnings, reversions, and potential reporting to AIV into one click. Really makes it easy and fast, but often I need to go into my web browser to gain the context of the edits in question on the wiki page itself. It's better to really dive into edit reverting and take a closer look beyond the typical vandalism. Hope this helps! Take care, Justin15w (talk) 21:16, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks, enjoy! Regards,  William Harris |talk  21:18, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Justin, the outcome was a 48 hour ban with a warning - the system works and is lenient in the first instance. This at least adds some "history" to that Talk page. Regards,  William Harris |talk  19:42, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bobby Bandiera

I know for a fact that Bobby Bandiera's birthdate is Oct 19, 1953. If you go on one his Facebook pages "Bobby Bandiera Rocks" , you will see that the people who know him well are in agreement with me.

Thanks Jules323 (talk) 20:51, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Jules323: I googled his information and it appeared to me that the existing birth date was correct, but as always I could be completely wrong. "Bobby Bandiera Rocks" is a closed group so I am unable to check it. I'll stop reverting you but you may want to seek consensus from other editors at the talk page: Talk:Bobby Bandiera. Nothing personal and good luck! Justin15w (talk) 21:06, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Justin. I appreciate your quick revert of the latest IP at Myron Ebell! I've now configured Pending changes to keep that kind of driveby vandalism off. Bishonen | talk 16:46, 1 December 2016 (UTC).[reply]

@Bishonen: Thank you! I don't take kindly to BLP violations. Keep up the good work and see you around. Justin15w (talk) 17:58, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
